I think I may be ignoring one of my kitties too much....she just crawled up my arm and laid on my chest, between my face and my laptop! Ya think she may be trying to send me some kind of message?

How did Nurmi ever get to represent a client in a death penalty case when I would not trust or hire him to get me out of a speeding ticket?

I take it jury questions are complete? Watching trial on HLN and reading at WS.
I hope Juan gets her this afternoon, but I think Nurmi could drag this out to infinity!

:great:bet she's hating not having oodles of make- up to cover it up like her hickies.... er, I mean 'neck' that time she got bruises:waitasec:

She was looking real spacey for awhile there waiting for the new questions.
But she wasn't shaking:rocker:or nervous one iota!

I saw her breathe in very deeply and let it out slowly (like a sigh) as the jury was being brought back in, but other than that she appeared cool as a cucumber except a few times where her voice cracked and she shrugged when she could quite formulate an answer.

I would love to see Mr. Martinez bring up every old boyfriend, every lie, every past bad deed upon rebuttal. After suffering through Nurmi, it would be fascinating! Don't know if he will do that. I don't want him to be over confident and let anything get by. She deserves to suffer through every dribble of her past deeds and see everyone on stand calling her a liar.

Don't know if this was already discussed, but anyone know what is exhibit 164 time stamped 1:42:53 PM 06/04/08?

There was a jury question about it.

If I were a juror, I would find it kinda icky that she went after one of the family members that were kind enough to put her up.
And IMO, she DID go back the second time to jump Victor's bones and try to get him back.
What was that word the jurors asked for clarification on again? lol

I think she messed up a few times.

1. She admitted that she was not sure if TA was following her when she went and got the gun. She said she just thought he might have been. Does her self defense claim go out the window there?

2. The holster. She first throw in that detail, the gun was in a holster, a couple of days ago. Then today when she was asked what happened to it, she seemed tp imply that she took it home with her. For that to be possible she would have had to go back up to that top shelf AFTER the murder and retrieve it.

Any other mess ups?

Well yesterday she said she spoke to a counselor...then today she said she never had professional help for her problems ....then a juror questioned her and said yesterday you said you had counseling and today you said you had no counseling.

JA had to clarify that it was SHE who was being evaluated. I think this goes to how she uses situations to her own benefit and how quickly she can formulate a lie or misrepresentation under pressure.

At this point, I feel like it's over and the jury will come back with a guilty of 1st degree murder and LWOP sentence.

I think they will see her as so emotionally disturbed that they'll forego the death penalty, just cos she's a nutcase and that will be a DP mitigator for them.

Which is fine with me. She's nuts. But the lock on her cell door needs to be permanent with no opportunity for release. This woman is dangerous.

I really think they believe she is lying her arse off about having a mental condition......i.e. slective memory.

I want her to receive death because that is what Travis' family wants and she deserves no less.

She isnt disturbed............she is just a sociopath without a conscience. More reasons to put her to death.

IMO

Someone please:please: tell me Juan will get to take a much needed STAB after lunch

When Nurmi is done, Juan gets an opportunity to follow up, at least Nurmi did when the jury asked the prosecution witnesses questions, so I see no reason for Juan to be declined follow-up questions.

Bless it! She is probably begging you to make Nurmi and Jodi shut the $#@! up! JMO :blushing:

For someone who supposedly has PTSD, she sure doesn't shake and get emotionally upset each and every time she describes what little she "remembers" of the events of June 4, 2008.

If she was assessed by the psychologist who evaluated her (but didn't treat her) as having PTSD, she would have received therapy for it. Ditto to the suicidal ideation. I so can't wait for the expert testimony to come in with those final few nails for her coffin!

That was priceless and she always falls for it.

They have watched her for 18 days and she hasnt shook once.

Well, to be fair, when I'm afraid I may be coming off as an Ice Queen, I always straddle the midsection of the people around me, too. It's a real ice breaker.

on a love sack :floorlaugh:

Nurmi will drag this out for the rest of the day so Juan won't get a shot at her until next Wed, no court Mon, Tues, ugh :banghead:

We thought that would work in her favor the first day or two. This is day 17 and the jurors must hate her now. Won't work in Jodi's favor. Who will believe her or Nurmi?

She remembers the exact date she broke up with her boyfriend in 2001.

But not how she butchered Travis and shot him in the head.

The gun "went off and I went into a fog..."

All Nurmi is doing is reinforcing the impression that Jodi clings desperately to her exes. How does this help?

BTW, am I the only one who remebers John Dixon on As the World Tirns? He was the supervillian of the show in the 70s.
