Was the ticket to Cancun? Oooooooh, I so hope Martinez is going to question her on this.

It proves she had 3 so she would never get caught in AZ...thus, premeditation!!

Flat out lied to the jurors faces.

WOW!

Love her face here. She KNOWS she's screwed!

Where did she get all this money to deposit in her acct? I remember a long while ago that HLN-Beth said she could have stolen money from Travis' house after the murder but no proof and we will never know. OMG! My heart is beating so fast over JM..This was awesome! What are we going to do until Wednesday?

Get on with our lives while she sits in a little cell, nursing a cold sore, and fretting over what else Juan is going to throw at her. :great:

Well, that would be something Walmart would know because the cashier's drawer would have been short $13.00 for that day.

Hiya :seeya: folks!

Anyone with the copy of that receipt?
Did JA purchased those items (w/gas can) by cash or use her CC like her gas purchases?

irrc using a CC; JA could not get cash back on a refund; the CC would be refunded and Yes was same policy in Spring/Summer 2008 :notgood:

And didn't she say it was at the end of her shift and she was putting glasses away? Now it's really busy and she's making tons of margaritas? WTF?

She's imploding! :great:

Why did JM wait until now to bring up the 3rd bank transaction? Why didn't he do it on cross?

So Nurmi can't say it was for a phone charger or a case of Tesero water and two bags of cheetos.

When Jury Instructions are given I think the Judge will indicate something along the line to them "if you find a Witness (including her) lied or they don't believe part of the testimony, you may discount their entire testimony"

something that says if you caught her in a lie, then you can also assume she lied about how and why Travis is dead. It means you cannot and don't have to trust anything she said

She will probably just say:
"The reason that I lied about returning the 3rd gas can is because I thought having 3 instead of 2 would make Travis look bad".
I know it don't make sense but neither does most of her lies.

Yes, it's a single mindedness that most people cannot understand. 18 hours on trial days sounds light ;)

I know it's nuts right. I can't function after 18 hours. At my firm we do shifts. The entire team is split into day and night crews. And each crew typically goes at it for 16-18 hours a day. It's madness. But a after a glass of vino when the verdict comes in you realize its worth all the hard work.

i dont want court to end
:( :( :( :( :(

it's cool that the jury has five days think about how ja looked them in the face and lied about those gas cans. damn that was good. :moo:

Dont know about you all, but i did not see ANY shaking and quaking going on there.

I noticed that too!!!! Did she rent the car from the airport? If she purchased an airline ticket, which hasn't been brought up yet, surely Juan would mention it?

I suspect that is coming, since he did bring up just before the end "ma'am, you were returning from Utah to Yreka to return to work, is that correct?" and she said "yes".

I'm betting we'll be hearing "then why did you buy an airline ticket if you were going home to return to work?"

I hate that Nurmi got to spat out that Juan didn't know for sure it was for actually gas when he objected! Like giving Jodi a sign to say, just tell them you got some coffee, a breakfast burrito, and some pop rocks.

I don't like him.

What's the question?

He proved she filled 3 gas cans in Salt Lake City but only kept 2 receipts.

No he proved she filled three cans so she lied when she claimed she only had two. It strengthens the premeditation case and reminds the jury her pants are ablaze.

It would be a beautiful thing if Matt has been cooperating with the state this whole time, someone better get a great screen shot of her face if Matt walks into that courtroom!!!!

I did see where Matt said he had to think about himself and his family rather than trying to be a friend to JA.

Is he married now? He has probably given some serious thought about lying for JA and the trouble it could get him in.

IMO

have to remember there are people with life experience on that jury. they shop at walmart. they know they don't just hand you cash and that's it. and they can do the math on that gas----that one juror had it all figured out before. now he has his answer to THIS question!!! done deal!!

if you can't believe her about this, you can throw out everything she's said. quite a huge day for mr. martinez. tip of my hat to him. that was truly beautiful!!!!!!!
