I will continue to ask this...why is Nurmi being allowed to testify from the lecturn? He is there to ask questions, not testify. This is ridiculous and the judge really needs to reel him in. The State doesn't get appeals, they get one shot (as well as it should be) but to give that much leeway to a defense attorney is irresponsible.

I understand innocent until proven guilty and the burden being on the state. However, the state is representing the people of Arizona on the people's dime, the people are entitled to a fair trial as well. JMO

Yeah, I was just going to say... Arizona taxpayers are footing the bill for this entire trial. Defense and state.

Right now If I was an AZ resident I would be revising my strongly worded letter that that I began writing three weeks ago when Nurmi was on his third week of direct of JA. He and lady co-counsel get paid hourly. No way do I want my tax dollars being taken advantage of by a man who repeats the same questions over and over in a way that should not be permitted by the judge to begin with. I don't think I could talk as slow as he talks if I tried. There is no authority figure in that courtroom.


Totally unnecessary how much this trial is costing the Arizona taxpayers and that is all the defense's fault.

Haven't seen this addressed, but having an extremely hard time keeping up, so sorry in advance, BUT...two questions from the jurors this morning left me with the distinct feeling that it's definetly OVER for JA!! Maybe someone has pointed that out to her? One had to do with asking her if the gun was in its box the day of the murder, the BEST, IMO: "Was Mr Alexander sitting in the shower when you dropped the camera?" He absolutely could not have reached out and 'body slammed' her in less than a second??? from a sitting position. Her answer...Yes! It's OVER!!
