What is Juan doing with the gas purchase in
Salt Lake city? Somebody please help me.. I thought she only needed to hide out her gas during the AZ killing trip?

I realize that the PROS may just be trying to pin her down, but she already killed, she was out of AZ, so why thw need for gas can fillage in Salt Lake City? I will not sleep till this 3 gas can biz is over... OK, I'm officialy OCD! lol

This is hard to describe and dont get me wrong because I agree that any form of abuse is not acceptable. Not even 1, but

The thing that is crazy to me is even if we assume that Travis did what Jodi said as far as the physical abuse, it seems like it wasnt enough for her to claim that she honestly felt her life was threatened.

If I remember what she said, I think she said he
-grabbed my arm once
-tackled me once
-he banged his own head on the wall in other room

So even if these things are true, then how in the world could she honestly feel her life was threatened while he was in the shower and she dropped camera?

It just makes no sense to me at all.
I guess I am basing this on real cases of when woman have really been abused, there usually is much more history of the abuse and not just 1 time.

Her story just wreaks of lying because of this to me.

Please dont get me wrong because I definitely agree that no amount of abuse is forgiven and if a guy or girl is hit by their SO then they should leave them and file a police report and get them arrested.

Its just that her story doesnt sound credible with the 1 or 2 times she says she was hurt by him physically. Here again, I think maybe the incidents were actually either rough sex play or just horsing around and she got accidentally hurt. And now she brings these honest incidents up and twists them around.

The whole gas can filling issue in SLC proves she did have 3 gas cans which proves she's beenLYING about how many gas cans she had, her returning that one $12 gas can to Walmart and basically to show she's a LIAR. Now why she filled up those gas cans AGAIN in SLC is just one more notch in the bedpost of her sociopathic planning. It will be interesting to see how Nurmi tries to squirm outta that one.

I have two working theories on the extra gas from SLC
1: She wanted to make a wide side trip to dispose of evidence w/o being seen
2: She wanted to return with extra fuel to show she never used the gas bought for the cans in CA

I was on the edge of my seat. I get so darn excited when he talks about Matt. I believe he has bailed on Jodi whether on his own or the possibility of being charged for something himself. All MOO of course but Matt has stuck out for me the day Juan asked Darryl if he knew Matt was waiting outside of his home when Jodi was there and he said no.

There's a theory out here (via HLN?) that Matt may be involved with the bogus Travis confession letters -- the ones where Travis so-called apologized for hitting JA and said he'd get pedo help.

This may have something to do with the coded jailhouse magazines JA got busted trying to get to into Matt's hands.

When the trial first started, MM commented on another site that he saw neck bruises on JA, and she told him TA had done it. But it sounds like JM has figured out it would have been impossible for Matt to have seen bruises on the date JA needed this to sync-up with.

Maybe the State has put pressure on Matt. Maybe they've put him in a position where he's had to 'fess-up and cooperate, or face serious consequences. This could be why JM keeps dangling Matt's name over JA's head -- scaring the crap out of her.

I suppose MM may have originally been listed by the DT, to testify re: neck bruises. But if the State has implicated him in the forged (inadmissible) letters, I bet Nurmi no longer wants him anywhere near that witness stand.

If all this is true -- and the jury finds out JA's alleged forgery plot -- Jodi can just roll-up her sleeve. It will be needle time, for sure.

What a great way to end the day. Way to go JM! Now we have to wait until Wednesday. Now Jodi has five days to sit and stew about how much she screwed up in cross today. I'm ecstatic as I bet this is what will mainly be on the minds of the jurors until Wednesday; Juan's cross and more of Jodi's lies.

I don't understand other then to show Jodi's a liar, what the significance is of the 3 gas cans. I know she's using them as an excuse about the cost of gas or possibly running out of gas in the desert but really that's pathetic. Am I missing something?? She could have saved herself some money by taking her own car (she was afraid someone would recognize it) and spent the bit extra on gas purchases. When I first heard about them I thought Jodi was taking them along with the plan of burning TA's house down. I suspected she also took rope to tie him up to the bed, making him believe it was going to be one of her kinky, bizarre sexual fantasies (like how he said he was going to tie her to a tree), then she planned to set his place on fire so there would be no evidence. I bet she stole his money (if he had cash) from his house before leaving. I would be interested to see what other transactions were on her bank statement from the time she left his place until she arrived back home. If there wasn't many, it make me wonder. I wouldn't be surprised if she had a few scenarios up her sleeve on how she was going to kill TA. What an evil B!tch. She deserves to die.

JMO but I really believe the jurors are going to give her the DP. By their questions to her, many seem so apparent they are not buying her BS story. It's like some are trying to trip her up in a lie. The only way I would see them not sentencing her to that is because she has claimed so many times how she was going to, or tried to commit suicide (which again is probably a lie and she doesn't want to die). The jurors may believe she still wants to die and therefore they won't let her have the easy way out or give her what she wants by giving her the DP. It actually makes me sick to watch a couple of videos on Youtube where other inmates claim to like her. uke: I'm hoping she gets the DP and has to sit on death row alone, 23 hours a day for some years before she's fried. Alone is her own wicked mind to recall how evil and sick she really is. I hope they also take away any writing and drawing materials she is allowed. End of rant.

BTW, can't they test the following pages for writing indentations? If she wrote on the last page ripped out, they should be able to find the writing from the last page on the next. They can do it simply by putting black dust on it or just gently running a pencil over it. IIRC.

Just finished watching todays proceedings.
I had to laugh, as Mr. Martinez, at the last few seconds of our trial day, threw up his hands and quit the day, as she was just starting to spin her head and ours around in circles. Stopped her cold, so all the Jury might remember for the next 5 days is how a Liar was exposed in her premeditation, and left stumbling over her own gas cans.

He was so clearly fed up and reflecting back all the frustration and contempt we feel.

She said she had no money to maintain her Infinity (how did she ever afford it in the first place is what I wonder) so since she hadn't maintained it and it was a "gas hog" she decided to drive 90 miles in it to PAY to rent another car for her murder trip.

Not once they because evidence. I would assume each page would have been copied and correlated and that is what the lawyers would have worked from. Her journal, more than likely would have been sealed and only allowed in the courtroom for reference purposes.
