11/1/11 MSM article claims JI with kids during trip & neighbor kid saw Lisa at 6:30pm

Nope, no contact info, or even a by line. Sheesh there is no accountability.

From the OP link:

Must be lazy/mis-reporting, if not confusion with DB's latest story about last seeing Lisa at 6:30pm. This article has DB's last sighting as a previous version, 10:30pm.

And note: "stayed with the baby"...no mention of the boys.

So, we're to believe the reporter interviewed the 4 year-old, but not the child's mother? Or interviewed both, but only mentioned the child's "last seen time"?

That 10:30 time line was gone a while ago. she said she never checked in on her again after 7:30. D put her to bed at 6:40, checked in on her at 7:30 because Lisa was standing in her crib, then she never checked her again. Remember when she came out and used the drunk defense, well thats when she said she didnt check in on her at that time. That was during like the 3rd time line change, I think we are on like the 7th now. unreal. I am a conspiracy theorist and this is even making me crazy.

He left for work at 5.20pm. That's the time he gave weeks ago. I don't think the article has changed that info, have they? DB was at the grocery store at 5ish and then went home and Jeremy left.

Sorry, my bad, I thought at first it said that JI was with the kids at 6:30 as well. Lord, things change so quickly around here I cant keep up. I wouldnt be surprised though.. Once again, my mistake, sorry to add more confusion to an already confusing situation.

It's unbelievably confusing. :waitasec:

I've been skeptical about the neighbor from day 1. It's such a convenient alibi that she was there with DB for a solid 5 hours on an ordinary school night. The fact that we haven't heard from the neighbor as to the last time she saw baby Lisa makes me even more skeptical.

Jeez Louise! I would hate to be the true crime writer ten years down the road trying to untangle THIS ball of yarn........

If you have to count on a four year old to figure out when LI was seen last by somebody not related to family-well...

The 4 year old can tell time? I'm sure there are those 4 year olds who can, but I think it would be rather rare.

My DD is 4 and cannot tell time. She still asks if "next week" is when she wakes up tomorrow.

I don't think a 4-yr-old has any idea of the time she last saw a baby, especially almost a month after the fact.

I agree. It's crazy to even mention that in the article. It's unprofessional reporting. My daughter is 7 and although she can tell the time she'd still not get the time right retrospectively. She could tell you the time it is now but if you asked what time she went to town yesterday she's likely to say "midnight". :floorlaugh:

Sooo on NG w JVM, the reporter said that jersey was cleared and JVM wanted to clear that up. I think now, moo, DB JI booked the hood so her defense att could stir the pot! Whadda head spinner for me today and no one is any closer to finding Lisa. :(

I know, and btw, I'd actually forgotten that DB had added a time (7:30) to the re-check of when Lisa was standing up in her crib.

Maybe I need to cut the reporters/interns some slack. It's becoming a full-time job to keep up with all the timeline and other changes from DB and JI (especially DB).

Exactly Cazzie, I read that sentence a few times and thought, we haven't seen this anywhere else? Did the article writer just throw it in there?

If I actually heard the four year old say that she saw Lisa at 6:30, I wouldn't believe it either.

However, it's not a direct quote. It could mean the LE questioned her as to what time she ate dinner, did she see Lisa before or after that? WHat was on TV the last time she saw Lisa?

My four year old can't tell time on a regular clock, but he can on a digital clock. He might remember a time, but I don't think he would after a month. However, we don't know who actually did the interview, and what type of reference points they had to make it easier for her to remember.

I feel really stupid for having to ask this, but what do you mean by "booked the hood"?

100% agree, kids at that age mimic as well.

Perhaps it is something as simple as the 4 year old coming out on the porch and told the moms that the baby was crying or she peeked in and saw her sleeping. Mom knew what time it was not the child. So the child could have said she saw Lisa in her crib and said it at 6:30.

IMO a 4 yr old will repeat what they have been told. They have no cognitive sense of things as an adult would interpret them. If an adult tells them something they will repeat it.

I think it means "left the neighborhood" but I could be wrong.

Haha, booked the hood = took off. (In response to laurafairlie's question.)

It's also very easy to influence a 4 year old.

My guess is the mom said they arrived around 6:30. The four year old saw Lisa when they got there and that's where the 6:30 time came from. Whether it's true, I have no idea. JMO

What did the mother see? Supposedly DB cooked dinner and I find it hard to believe the woman wouldn't have gone inside at all.
