I don't like the way the mother is going about getting her point across, but I can clearly see why she is making it.

Had this been a group of 12-year-old boys going around pinching 12-year-old girls butts as a "game", you would have a lot of people calling it sexual harassment and wanting the boys to be punished for their behavior.

The boys mother is taking it to the extreme though. I am wondering if she feels her son was wrongfully punished in the past for a similar offense?

LolaMoon08, I see your point regarding switching the genders, but my personal opinion remains the same:

Take it seriously enough that the girl(s) involved get detention, suspension, etc., but at 12 years old they haven't developed the "cause = effect" portion of their brains, so arresting and pressing charges is extreme overkill. I would never say ignore it like it's nothing, clearly it is an issue and needs to be addressed, but we need to treat these humans as the children they are, rather than trying them like adults. It's absolutely ridiculous IMO.
