Octobermoon, you heard the same thing I heard. that GZ was going to speak. Now it's changed to his lawyers are going to speak on his behalf.

Hopefully the lawyers will tell us they are doing this because GZ is otherwise indisposed (arrested)!

Glad you heard it too. I thought maybe I got it wrong.

And it would be wonderful if he is arrested today today to at least start the process. I am afraid this will drag on longer.

Do me a favor, please?? If Zimmerman is actually going to be there for the released statement, let me know! I'm not going to watch if it's just lawyers who have never even met him talking? I've seen them talk. Thanks!

Is it possible that the reason why Trayvon may have taken longer than absolutely necessary to get home was that he wanted privacy for his phone call with his girlfriend? It would be kind of normal for teens not to want their parents to listen in I think.

Or the annoyance of a 13 year old soon to be sibling overhearing and or interrupting your chat with GF.

I tend to think he was simply a bit disoriented - dark had fallen, raining, unfamiliar with the complex he was staying at. I think the "looking around" GZ saw TM doing was simply him trying to ascertain if he was indeed headed in the right direction to get back to dad's fiance's.

If the atts are at the courthouse speaking for George, then maybe this is it? They said on the Today Show that if George was arrested we wouldn't hear anything else from him.

Maybe, weirdly enough, he's turning himself in? Can he do that? This seems so odd. I would expect a statement after he's been arrested, in which case usually the prosecutor or someone in LE does a press conference first. Isn't that how it usually goes? I'm getting odd vibes here.

Who's a legal person here? Does this make sense, having lawyers speak on the behalf of a person who is actively being investigated??

Yep, lawyers who supposedly haven't laid eyes on their client , maybe they finally met with him today ?

I have read on this and various other threads that Trayvon should not have been walking/running in that neighborhood, not walking in the rain, not wearing a hoodie.

This young boy, Trayvon, had every right to do what he was doing. The person in the wrong is GZ, who decided to be a "hero".

We live on a private lane. It is marked that for everyone to read. However, we often have trespassers (since we live very near a river), but we treat this verbally, not with guns!!!!

R.I.P. Trayvon :heartbeat:

I think we'll be hearing from GZ's legal team, not GZ himself. HLN 4:30 EST

Is anyone from the prosecutor's side going to be there? (Since it's at the courthouse.)
If the prosecutor had decided to not to press charges I would expect GZ's lawyers to make a statement but I also would expect for the prosecutor to announce it first.

Oh man, I hadn't thought of that. But you're right. I'd expect the prosecutor would make a statement first.

How can you turn yourself in if you haven't even been charged with anything (that we know)?

There have been days where it has been so hot outside, that I pray for it to rain. I don't even use an umbrella because I always get soaked anyways. I love the rain... you can even catch me dancing with my nieces in the rain occassionally... unless it's lightening!

HLN initially reported Zimmerman was going to speak for the first time since the incident. I heard it with my own ears. We should all just turn them off and send them a message!

What would that message be? That we dont want to hear another side to the story?
