I read here on this board that TM was drug tested and it came up negative. it still would not have made a difference, people can't just go shooting people because they are high on drugs

Can you point to the post where his drug screen came up negative? Since he was suspended for paraphanalia, I don't imagine his screen came up negative.

Which doesn't necessarily illuminate what exactly - besides skittles and tea - he was after that night.

It was in the rain. Would he be walking slowly in the rain? How much of the background noise can be attributed to wind and rain noise?

He's at least walking fast. He may not be running, but you can tell by the wind and how he talks that he is not just walking slowly.

I too have listened to the tapes, and imo, the scream of help were those made by an adult who was getting beat up, knowing he could end it because he was armed, and was screaming for some one to rescue him before he had to resort to using his weapon with deadly force. I know I would scream like a baby for help before I decided to kill an attacker.

Why would someone with a gun be screaming for help? That makes no sense! Why would GZ be screaming like that since he was the aggressor?

He seemed to get a lot of second chances instead of being held accountable.

He seemed also to get a lot of lazy LE who ignored that he was a criminal.

Or maybe I'm just really irritated that one of my kids have permanent criminal records for doing less than he did. Probably that's it.

I loath stereotyping

So did GEORGE ZIMMERMAN? That's probably one of the most ironic things I've read in a while...

I think that there are a lot of despicable issues with this case, but the one that sickens me the most is how this is being used for political reasons. I know this is not the political forum, so I won't post more about it, but this is being blown WAY out of proportion by the powers that be. That's all I will say about that.

Exactly. That's what I am thinking too.

Are any of you watching Nancy Grace right now? Steve Helling said that he has spoke to 3 people that told him they came out of their house and they saw Zimmerman pinning Trayven face down into the sidewalk and that Travyon was screaming. They said that Zimmerman had no injury and he was not bleeding or showing any sign of injury. And at this point I believe Steve over the police because he reported on the Casey Anthony case and was never wrong. Steve also said it was not in the police report either that Zimmerman was injured.

I'd call getting charges like "assault on a LE officer" expunged one heck of a second chance.

hate to break it to you, but those images would merely show tm for exactly what he was.....a teenage boy not unlike the millions of others in this country.

Yet the pictures were not the ones shown to the public. And I do think that TM was very much unlike most teens based on recent family-attorney-confirmed insights into his activities.

Has the autopsy been released yet?

(CNN) -- One month after the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, nearly three out of four Americans say the police should arrest the neighborhood watch volunteer who pulled the trigger, according to a new national survey.

And the CNN/ORC International poll released Monday also indicates that three-quarters of the public says that neighborhood watch members should not be allowed to carry weapons.

No it is not a game.IMO Not blaming the victim just trying to get a complete picture of what may have happened that night. Why is it ok to say GZ is violent because of his past but TM being found in possession of woman's jewelry that was sent to police isn't?

But he was never arrested. If there had been a recorded thief of the jewelry he would have gotten arrested if for nothing else than receiving stolen goods which is against the law.

No proof TM was violent. Whereas GZ has had some control issues which sometimes leads to violence and that may account for those reports to police of domestic violence and the restraining order. GZ also seemed to have some authority issues if he felt he could shove a police officer and get away with it, which he did. 46 calls to 911 were a little much. Some were good calls most were not and OMG if he were my neighbor I'd shoot myself. Low moment, not serious. jmo

I really hope we will not advocate whether someone should be arrested or not based on public opinion polls.

I thought we all used to be teenagers at some point, assuming we're all adults here. Did every one of us fit the "teenager" stereotype floating around the adult circuits of our time? Hm. :waitasec:

He was talking to his girlfriend throughout the whole walk. They have the whole phone call on record, so I don't know why everyone is so adamant that TM was doing something wrong. Normal kid, drinking ice tea and eating skiddles while talking to his girlfriend only to come across the big bully wanna be cop carrying a weapon. In California you can only shoot someone if they are inside your home, if they are in your yard you will go to jail no matter what their intention was. RIP Trayvon....

I understand how upset you are with that picture in your mind. This is the picture the media has been painting for two weeks.

He was not talking to his girlfriend for the entire walk and they don't have her call recorded, you misunderstood.

Unless you have surveillance video, there's no proof he was simply walking along drinking his iced tea and eating his skittles. He was ducking and running - acting suspicious.

What we do have is a 911 call from someone reporting Trayvon acting suspicious - 17 year old boys with skittles can look suspicious. To say GZ planned this entire thing would be as realistic as saying Trayvon waitied on GZ to get off the phone so he could get shot.

Wonder if he asked anyof those witnesses if they caught anything on their cell phones? This was brought up last night or this morning.

Wow so now it's a fact that Trayvon's a criminal too?

Wow, assault on a police officer no big deal, domestic violence no big deal, but suspensions and the victim's a "criminal."

Wow just wow
