I don't agree that a person who has a history of criminal behavior wouldn't be followed by someone who has a "sense" for criminal behavior. And then, if the person following is attacked, he can defend himself.

Honestly, for a 17 year old boy, he's got a LOT of criminal behavior in his past. A LOT. I don't know what he was doing that night, but with his history I'm willing to listen to GZ's intuition.

We've found out the reason he has been suspended a few times today. But, I have yet to see that he has ever been charged with a crime. Maybe I missed it? If so, please provide a link.

Ever hear of weighing all the facts before coming to a conclusion?

She has never apologized or admitted being wrong in that case. I don't get my facts from her.

I'm not sure anyone's said that. However, these events were 7 years ago, iirc and there does not appear to have been any sort of pattern of violence since then. Perhaps it was a bad time in his life? It seems to me that someone prone to such violence as is being portrayed would have had more than two charges against him in 7 years. JMO

These allegations against Martin, sadly, seem to point to some delinquency. That he was seemingly tagging a locker with three other individuals might even imply certain things...

Websleuths does not permit &#8220;rant&#8221; threads and that is exactly what this has become. What few points are being made are completely lost amongst all the venting type posts. If you don&#8217;t get your news from Nancy Grace, cool enough. Fine. But do not keep repeating it over and over and over again. That is just one example I have seen posted by the same person at least 5 times in the past 30 minutes but the same goes for repeating yourselves over and over and over again. Please stop it.

The mods here are working around the clock and doing the best we can to moderate this emotionally charged situation. Please have some respect and think about what you are going to post. If you don&#8217;t have a valid point or something worthwhile to contribute to the discussion, then don&#8217;t post it.

That is certainly interesting. I wonder why it was not brought to light until now. And why didn't it show up on those phone records that were depicted?

I think what it implies is he's a kid acting like a kid. At 15 my son had some friends sleep over. One dislike a neighborhood girl so they slipped out at night and did a little damage to the property. My son squealed to a sibling and we heard about it. The neighbor suspected he caused the damage. Our son had to call the neighbor and tell him what happened, who was involved and that we planned to have the repairs done. The neighbor called the police and gave them all the names and they all confessed. Kids do stupid things it's how they learn. My neighbor lectured the boys but there was never any ill will just a "I hope you learned a lesson?"

Sometimes in groups they do things they would never think to do alone. That is why I'm saying one is an adult and one is still a child as far as experience and common sense. jmo

It was raining, and I do not believe the hoodie should be blamed at all for Martin's death. Perhaps his action (IMO) of suddenly pulling the hoodie up, at least partially obscuring if not his face, at least is head, when he noticed Zimmerman watching him added to Zimmermans suspicions.

I was a victim of a vioent crime back in October of 1993, attacked, robbed, cornered behind a counter, and cut repeatedly with a razor blade box cutter. Several of the cuts were to my cheek and chin, which bled so much my attacker though he had slit my throat and left.

The attacker was a young black male wearing a baseball cap and a hoodie pulled up over his head.

FYI, my attacker was released from incarceration September of 2011. Crime doesn't pay. There is a WS Mod who can verify this for those who may doubt.

You are right there. We have been having 80 degree for the last 2 months here in Central FL. Even hit 89 one day last month.

I have a teenage son and yes he has a hoodie but only wears it on the coldest days of winter which was only a couple times this last winter and he would never be caught wearing the hood up over his head. Of course his is one of those designer skateboarder ones which he says is not worn that way.

Sad to say the majority of the time I see hoodies here in FL is watching the news where they show video of late night store robberies. Almost every one of those have a guy wearing a hoodie with the hood pulled up over their head.
