This is where I have a problem. Sanford PD is a problematic and racist agency. There is no way I am going to accept everything they say as gospel. We do not know and probably never will know who put their hand on who first. Unfortunately the only person who can dispute GZ is dead. Just shoot your witness, claim self defense and you are home free. I do know this much and it's MOO. That phone call GZ made shows his intent. He was not going to let another effing ****** get away. I know that's not verbatim, but you know a prosecutor is going to spell it out that way to a jury. Now lets look at TM's intent. He bought snacks and was walking home.

If George Zimmerman's story was solid and SPD could back it up with evidence, people would have a problem with the State of Florida wasting a bunch of state and federal money, manpower, and time...This is why I think there has to be obvious holes in the story...:twocents: :moo:

But if that person is viciously attacking you, you can, under the law, defend yourself whether you like how they look or not.

If someone had been following you, and caught back up with you when you had tried to run away, obviously Trayvon knew he had a gun since he tried to "grab it", so obviously Zimmerman had the gun in his hand... what would you do? What would you honestly do if a man had been following you, chased you down, and you seen he had a gun?? What would you do??

Same. I've been down this one stretch of road many many many times over my life, but until I was rear-ended last month and had to give my location to 911, I didn't realize exactly how clueless I was about street names. "Uhh... There's the Kroger over there, and then right under this overpass" doesn't really cut it when you're trying to give specific locations for LEOs.

GZ sounded pretty calm on the 911 tape, and he gives them specific directions to get to where he is at. I don't even know why he would need the additional street name, especially in a very small complex---and after he had given officers his cell phone to track him down.

That part about finding the street name doesn't make sense. A little bit of a lie mixed in with the truth makes the whole thing hinky IMO...and for the record, I feel the same way about the marijuana possession and the suspension.

But once GZ stated on the 911 call Trayvon was black, shortly thereafter GZ exited his vehicle and went after Trayvon. IMO in a court of law this is going to work against GZ, and rightly so.

The law does not allow a citizen to chase down another citizen and then shoot them dead because you don't like the way they look.

I don't think he chased TM and shot him because he didn't like the way he looked. I think he was concerned TM was casing houses and trying to keep an eye on him until LE arrived.

I think TM's reactions and behavior were normal. I don't place blame on TM. I think this was the textbook definition of an incident spiraling out of control. Neither GZ nor TM read the other correctly. But it didn't need to end with the taking of a 17-year old's life. If GZ had not had a gun, this would not have happened. I blame the bad legislation of "stand your ground."

It could, but GZ isn't saying that. He is saying that he was walking back to his car when TM confronted him, asked if he had a problem, and when GZ responded no; TM said well you do now and decked him.

Why is Zimmerman's account inherently more believable than the girlfriend's account? They seem to directly contradict one another? Also how can just having injuries prove that Zimmerman did not start the fight? My best friend is a bouncer, he finishes a lot of fights and some of the fight starters are ejected with bloody noses and fat lips. Moo

Is there anything to back up the allegations of racism other than one event that occurred several years ago, that I believe was under a different administration? I'm curious as to where this keeps coming from.

No Doc, I do not, it's been a few days since I found the picture and saved it - it should still be on google images. If I have to link to the obvious, that the picture of CZ is much more recent than the one we're accustomed to seeing from a documented five years ago, we're all in trouble.

My point was, posting this picture is really bothering people and I'm terribly curious as to why. What difference does it make, both are obviously pictures of TM and CZ. Does it diminish or increase our perception of who they are? Should it?

This is where we disagree. If there was a scuffle between the two, IMO Travyon was DEFENDING himself. Afterall, GZ was the one stalking Trayvon in the dark with a gun. According to Trayvon's girlfriend he tried to give the slip to the creepy guy stalking him. I believe GZ cut off Trayvon thru a shortcut. At that point Trayvon had to defend himself, he couldn's escape his stalker with the gun.

I think George Zimmerman is capable of that. He wouldn't be the first person to do that. Self-inflict his injuries, then try to blame it on an attacker...

I have a theory about him and his need for attention He called 911 46 times so he could garner attention and praise from it something like a person who maligns medical problems for attention He just took too far this time IMO

If SYG did not exist, why do you think Zimmerman would still not be able to claim self defense and be in the exact same position? He'd have just been formally arrested and charged; none of this implies guilt.

I hope the cops got Zimmerman locked into a story on videotape early on so he can't wiggle out of it later and say "i didn't really say that" or "they wrote my statement down wrong"

they should've also got his reinactment of the altercation on video.

It could be compared later to the 911 call.

I noticed the cops are not talking about Trayvon's injuries, if any. that's odd.

What past evidence suggests that GZ was looking for a fight. In all of the 46 other 911 calls he made, there is not one report that suggests he confronted a suspect in a hostile manner.

Actually, the driver he accused of spitting at him claims that Zimmerman followed him in an aggressive and hostile manner, and that he was afraid of Zimmerman. Members of the community had expressed concern about his aggressiveness. It is such a bad picture and compared to his recent school picture it doesn't even look like him I was wanting a link to assure it really was him is all.

Zimmerman watches too many movies and needs to get a differnet hobby instead of harassing people.
