If true that he had woman's jewelry and burglar tools in his school back pack, maybe he was casing houses. Why didn't the school call police IMO they should have at the time.
Well that article said they did call the police just never notified the parents and did nothing about it.

Hoodies are worn by any sex and color of people. My 30 yr old son is an M.D. and wears an Ohio State Hoodie often. My 23 PHD student son wears them all the time...even my 40 yr old son who works for Cisco. They are all normal guys, who happen to be white. They've never been approached for wearing a hoodie or avoided because of it. It's simply something to keep you protected from the weather and to assume that only one type of person can wear a hoodie is a ridiculous as thinking only one type of person can wear shoes. ^i^

:goodpost:

thank you ITA

Have you ever been in that situation? Do you think Trayvon should have run again? He had already run away once? He should take the chance to get shot in the back? You don't think Zimmerman would have chased after him anyways? If Trayvon would have peed himself, Zimmerman would have called 911 for Trayvon urinating in public.

I have been in the situation of a boy finding a gun and waving it around the room and, yes, I ducked. Others held their hands up while ducking. We were all screaming for him to put the gun down.

I never said Trayvon would pee himself. I said I would. I'm not a very brave person.

FTR, I do not place ANY blame on Trayvon for his death. And I do not believe there is any one "normal" way to react to having a gun pulled on you.

I find this "leak" about Trayvon even more suspicious. If he was in the wrong that night, why leak info about him in an attempt to smear him? Funny how nothing has been "leaked" about Zimmerman.

As you can see though, the public is still fully invested in this case, still demanding justice.

If Police were called I find it very strange parents were not notified.

I have a big problem with Al Sharpton being allowed to be a part of, and report on this case...:twocents:

I have a big problem with Al Sharpton passing around the plate in a church, a rally, telling people to put in $100 bills for the family's expenses. WTH?

Nothing has been leaked about Zimmerman?

Nothing has been leaked? Like his expunged charge, the domestic violence allegations, where his parents work, the 911 calls he's made, etc?

Why is it sick that she would want to control her dead son's image?

Well somehow I think it's about money but I am cynical.

Money, plain and simple. Why else would she try and trademark her son's names, Same thing with the Anthonys trying to trademark Caylee's name...... they want money.

Okay, let's not start taking things out of context. The information that has gotten out about Trayvon was NOT a part of any public record. The city manager specifically said that a person in the police department released this information without approval. None of the info pertained to Zimmerman, so no, there has been no leak in that regard.

Don't try to twist this, Zimmerman's troubles were a part of the public record. His charges were not expunged too well, if they were so easily accessible on google. I think you know exactly what I mean by the leak---911 calls were not leaked they were released with AUTHORIZATION. That's the big difference.

She trademarked a phrase, that could very well be used by someone else to make a movie/dvd..etc.

Because if the family does not trademark it, then it could be trademarked and used by the KKK, the NBPP, or virtually ANYONE who wants to make a buck selling items with his image, and or anything else, anytime something gets this kind of media attention an Attorney will suggest that you protect the name and image so that it is not used in any manner that you would find abhorent

Timeline

7:09 - Zimmerman calls police
7:11 (2 minutes into the call) - GZ tells dispatch TM is running away (toward back entrance, where his house is), GZ loses sight of TM. He is told not to follow TM.
7:12 - TM's girlfriend calls TM
7:13 - GZ hangs up with police, at this point, he does not know where TM is.
7:16, according to TM's girlfriend, TM confronts GZ, "why are you following me?"
According to Zimmerman via LE, TM said, "what's your problem man"
7:16 - First call comes into 911
7:17 - Police arrive on the scene

All tolled, TM had seven minutes to make his way home from where the club house is located to his dad's girlfriend's house. We know, from GZ's 911 call, TM ran in that direction, at least part of the way. He had five minutes to get home when GZ lost sight of him. A scared kid, even lugging a bag of skittles, could have aced the distance in half that time.

Why was TM hanging around? My biggest sticking point since this broke and my question has been answered once, because GZ was in his path. He never told his girlfriend he couldn't get home because GZ was in his path. He said "following".

Corrections welcome

Does this also mean that Zimmerman had 7 minutes to check a street sign and get back in his vehicle?

An expunged charge is supposed to be as if it did not exist. To me, that seems like a leak.

It wasn't the names that were trademarked. It was two slogans with his name in them. It seems to me that his name would be protected via defamation/slander/libel laws, would it not?
