He was not 100lbs heavier and I have read GZ is only 5'2" if that is true TM had his height at a big advantage against GZ.11 years younger is also a big advantage.

GZ is 5'9 according to the police report. 5'2 would make him a really short, really fat man...IMO

I am so confused. At first, the way the media portrayed it, I thought Zimmerman chased down TM and shot him just because he was black and wearing a hoodie. Now, we are hearing from police reports AND an eye witness who is saying that TM was the attacker, and I don't know who to believe anymore.

People are saying that Zimmerman continued to follow TM after being told by the dispatcher they didn't need him to do that. How do we know this is true? I don't. Zimmerman said "Okay" to that. How do we know that he DIDN'T stop following him then and start walking back to his vehicle? We don't, do we?

I hear on the 911 tape Zimmerman saying, "He's COMING to check me out." COMING means walking or running TOWARD Zimmerman, not running FROM Zimmerman with Zimmerman following him. TM is coming toward Zimmerman.

GZ was in his truck talking to the police dispatcher. TM walked toward and past his truck. He was on his way back to a home in the neighborhood. TM sees a strange guy in a truck staring at him and starts to run. GZ gets out of his truck and gives chase. The dispatcher notices the sounds indicating that GZ is running and tells him to stop. GZ says OK, but the background noise indicates he keeps running for a while. If GZ had turned around and headed back to his truck when he said OK, he would have never gotten to the spot where the shooting happened.

It's simply untrue that GZ didn't know or was unsure of his race. And it's simply untrue that he didn't know until the Trayvon came towards him. I don't know how it ever got spun that way or why.

It wasn't long into the call when he was asked and there wasn't any hestitation and it was before Trayvon supposedly came towards him.

I have not heard 911 call I had read it.From what I remember he wasn't sure he said he looks black,it was dark out.At the end when GZ says he is coming to check me out he says then that he is black. Sorry if I confused anyone.

Why should he hedge around the truth when he turned and came toward him he saw he was black and he stated it.

I don't even know what you're asking about?

People keep saying GZ didn't know Trayvon was black, but GZ NEVER said he didn't know. We can't assume what he did or did not know---but we can go off his words. GZ clearly said "he looks black." Later, he does confirm that it's a black male.

If he didn't know, he knows how to say "I don't know." :moo::twocents:

About the previous burglaries in the neighborhood. I've heard it from several people - including that guy that was on tonight that is supporting GZ - that they were committed by young black males.

Ok - how do they know this?

I've seen it said that the suspects haven't been caught - so, again - how do they know this?

Did the surveillance cameras at the clubhouse or wherever they are catch these young black males and that's how they know?

Or, did some of the victims' apartments have cameras in them and caught these suspects in the act?


I would like to know HOW they know the burglary suspects were yung black males - to me, that means someone either saw them or got them on camera.


ETA: AND if they were caught on cameras then wouldn't those cameras have also been checked to see if anything was on them concerning this major incident?

I just want to answer this for you. In one of George Zimmerman's 911 calls that have been released, he says while on the phone that his WIFE is the one who gave a description of the suspects to the detectives. So it appears MRS. Zimmerman witnessed these burglaries herself? According to Mr. Zimmerman. I wonder where her 911 calls are that show she called to report she was witnessing a robbery?

The media coverage of that incident doesn"t even mention the race of the attackers. And, as far as I can tell, no new news about that case since March 7. Where is the outrage there?

Because a big part of this case and what sets it apart form that case is the perps were arrested and charged.

To be fair, if his youthful troubles had an impact on this tragedy, then I'd say it's appropriate for them to be brought up. Just as if Zimmerman was seriously injured (or killed) fighting that officer - the fact that he was making stupid decisions at the time and could potentially straighten up later does not mean he did not make those decisions at the time.

In the case where TM was shot..what "youthful troubles"was he into? Walking with his hood up while black? ^i^

But it wouldn't surprise me if an empty ziplock bag period is considered contraband by the school.

Schools can get quite paranoid about pot. Heck, I remember one time getting a call from my son's school for permission of a drug test(peeing in front of nurse, very embarrassing) when he was about 12 years old. My answer "H*ll no".
My son many years later remembers that and still thanks me for it. The other kids, parents did agree and went thru the embarrassment. And no, no drugs use was found in the other kids. Sometimes schools are looking for a grant and are hunting for justification. Same way when I got a letter from school asking for permission for my daughter to enroll her in some sort remedial class, which was a standard letter to other parents as I found out later. Because they needed "x" amount of students in remedial classes to get a State grant.
Sadly such antics can have a negative effect on any kid's career later in life.

Interesting that the police report doesn't mention a visible GSW on Trayvon. I'd think they might notice bleeding and would document that in their comments about the black make lying face down with his hands under him.?? Any thoughts?
