17 yo Trayvon Martin Shot to Death by Neighborhood Watch Captain #14

I am very bothered by how the media has portrayed this. Showing pictures of TM that were several years old but made him look childlike, young, innocent. Showing one picture of GZ that was several years old but made him look to be large, criminal, dangerous. In reality the two were 10 pounds different in weight and TM the taller of the two.

Why does the media insist on referring to GZ as a WHITE Hispanic? The story coming from TM's father about the Skittles is gospel but things said by GZ's father, friend, brother are doubted. Everything GZ is doubted.

GZ was on his way the store when he saw TM. He was not out that night looking to hunt anyone down 'like a dog' yet the media plays up.

Could events have happened just as GZ claimed and that is why he was not arrested? LE did speak to an eyewitness at the scene that verified what GZ said happened yet people don't want to believe that. People want to believe that LE is engaging in a cover up.

Why do so many want to think GZ is a liar? His story has not changed! What the media has put out has changed. Please don't listen to the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. They have an agenda and that is to incite racial divide.

Over the weekend I read that NBC edited the 911 recording to make GZ look even worse. Today I read that ABC enhanced the video showing GZ does have bruises and still people think it is untrue.

Is it really beyond the realm of possibility that TM did act suspicious to GZ? It is not possible that TM did jump GZ? If GZ had stayed in his car nothing would have happened. Leaving his car was a mistake and no matter what he suspected to be going on, he should have waited and let LE handle whatever. He did not do that but it doesn't mean he hunted down anyone 'like a dog'.

Let's wait for the Grand Jury decision before accusing LE of shady behavior.

This is just an observation I made. Yesterday, I was squatting down to pet my stray dogs on my walkway. One of them came up from behind me and nuzzled my ear, causing me to loose my balance and topple over. I put my hand out to catch myself and scraped my hand on the concrete. I noticed the very obvious scrapes that come with falling on concrete and it made me think that IF GZ did indeed have his head hit repeatedly on concrete that night, there would surely be those same concrete scrapes on his head. Hopefully, someone somewhere documented these injuries so it can be seen. jmo, moo, all that

Clairfication on WS stance regarding the "victim friendly" issue.
I had a discussion with the owners about how we were to deal with this. This is what I was advised:
At this point in the investigation we don't KNOW exactly who ALL the victims are now. We KNOW that Trayvon is a victim, because he is dead. However, news breaks and new leaks come forth everyday and it is still unclear whether Zimmerman was a victim of any violence. Until more verifiable FACTS are available, WS has chosen to err on the side of treating both the confirmed (Trayvon) AND potential (Zimmerman) victim, both as victims.
Like I said, that may change after we have more verifiable information

NOt necessarily. I saw an interview on MSNBC and a forensics examiner said that gunshot wounds close up in the chest DO NOT splatter, not like seen in the movies. He said the blood would be coming out the backside of the wound,and not spraying up and outward onto the shooter. DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THAT?

I thought the bullet didn't go through? It's tough to get facts from fiction and has been since the beginning. I would think Zimmerman would have SOME blood on him, from the "beating" and the shooting. IMO - he didn't shoot Trayvon from close range. I do not believe he was beaten either. One thing that really gets me is, Zimmerman shot someone to death that night, from the video at the police station, he doesn't seem to care in the slightest. There is no blood on him, no obvious signs of a beating or shooting at close range. The 911 calls speak volumes to me, GZ chased down Trayvon, he (GZ) didn't listen to the dispatcher. I do not like "men" who try to act like police, do not listen to police, and "seem" to think they are above it all.

There might be a big difference between a head wound that happened falling on cement steps, opposed to someone already on the ground.

And I think the placement of the would might be because he was partially on the grass and the top of his head on the concrete, maybe.

thats true about the falling on stairs. Probably a much harder hit...but my point was that the actual wound was so tiny and the amount blood was crazy..

I'm trying to picture in my mind about him laying on the grass and his head on the concrete, but that makes me think it would be even lower on his head..but I have no idea how tall the grass is there or if the cement is higher than the grass, i'm looking around at my house and my neighbors houses and the cement is higher than the grass, which i think would make the head wound lower. who knows..

Yes He would be cleaned up there would be no blood ,dirt or grass on the body at all.The body is washed down.

The funeral director saw nothing on Trayvon to suggest he'd been in a fight..so, I do have my suspicious that those injuries might be self inflicted..He appears to be that kind a guy...:what:

And, pure speculation here, if TM shoved GZ from behind, forcefully enough to knock him down, and then held GZ's shirt or jacket to slam his head into the ground, there probably wouldn't be any marks on TM. My attacker violently shook my shoulders to beat my head into the floor. They pick your shoulders up then slam you back down. No punching necessary. Does that make sense?

I wonder if the battery went dead on TM's phone. Inconvenient timeing for sure. The police didn't try to find out who he was so maybe the phone was dead.Well, of course it could have been damaged during the fight or whatever took place there.

As much as I would like to see some fairness in all this it makes me very uncomfortable to see where Zimmerman or Martin was staying or people remarking what kind of a vehicle Zimmerman has. To me it does not appear that this case has been treated justly at all but with the heightened tension on this I fear for the Zimmerman and the Martin families.

Me as well. This is why it is so important that police DO THEIR JOBS professionally and publicly.

If people do not feel that they will receive justice any other way they might take matters into their own hands. I am not advocating this, simply stating a reality. And sadly, in this case not only could the family feel that justice has not been served, but all minorities might reasonably feel that they have been victimized yet again.

In my opinion the police at all levels need to start coming clean. Zimmerman needs to be arrested or they need to show damn good reason why not. And not next month or next week, but now. Immediately. There is no worse crime than police corruption, and when a reasonable person might conclude that this is what's happening then it's time for transparency. They have had a month to "investigate" and, as it turns out, lie to the family and the community. Now it's time for answers. IN MY OPINION.

She never attended the wake but was hospitalized after finding out he was dead. She would have related her story to the doctor which is documented. The gf lives in Miami and would have no way of knowing about his death until someone told her. The parents only discovered her when they received the phone records, I believe. Treating her at the hospital for hysteria they would have a record of her story. jmo

The Martin family lawyers are asking the Justice Dept to look into these new developments/allegations...
