I know we're joking around, but at what point does the black helicoptering stop? Not everything is a conspiracy.

You are right..Not everything is.. But there are many things that have happened that are...JMHO

If an officer suspects someone who has used a firearm might be drunk, he can have them tested:

They should have tested him, but if they didn't, nothing can be done about it now. But he doesn't look all drunk on his police walk tape, does he? I mean, people were saying how he has no sever injuries since he can walk normally with his hands behind his back.

There has to be probable cause to suspect they're under the influence, or there has to be an arrest.

Did he? I thought he was walking home from his dad's house to the girlfriend's house during halftime of the All-Star game and decided to pick up some candy for his brother along the way. Oh, wait... No... Dad and the girlfriend went out to dinner. He was walking to the store to get his brother some Skittles... Oh, wait... No... He might have been at the movies with his cousin... Oh, wait... No... He wanted to get out of the house because his dad had kept him pretty much grounded while he was there and that was an excuse to leave.

From the evolution of the story, it doesn't sound like dad knew much of anything about what Trayvon was up to.

His father lives in Miami????? I'm not even going to try an answer because you already know the truth about what the father said and the sequence in which he stated to questions that were put to him. If this is a reason to get shot all our lives are certainly in danger everytime we step out our door. They never had to tell anyone anything. I do have some extras straws if anyone needs them, though. jmo

I am really concerned about the suspensions from school. An evaluation is supposed to done to decide what action to follow. Suspension is for the safety of the school. Repeat offending is significant of some problem the child is having.
Trayvon is not the first and won't be the last suspended student who moves on to problems outside the school.
I really wish we knew what happened here.
I heard on the live HLN chat Ryan the guest said the GF heard the whole thing and she will be the key witness. Thats impossible, she would have alerted authorities.

So much for the roller coaster ride the media is taking us on.
RIP Trayvon.

BBM. What does that have to do with the night TM was shot?

Homocide would do it. jmo

I completely agree. I'm tired of hearing that his dad was responsible for geting him out of everything. He was a magistrate judge several states away from his home jurisdiction. The entire notion is silly.

Sorry for the OT, but I just want y'all to know I'm sitting here under a tornado warning (tornadoes just touched down within 20 miles of here) and still can't tear myself away.

I guess I'm one of those people Jane Velez Mitchell is always braying about in her book, "Addict Nation".

Be careful - those tornadoes look viscious - been watching since MSNBC started coverage. Tamaron Hall has been on top of it - her family LIVES there!

We're under a severe thunderstorm watch here - raining buckets now but the lightning of a few minutes ago has slowed down.

If an officer suspects someone who has used a firearm might be drunk, he can have them tested:

If he really was under the influence and they didn't do a breathalyzer, then someone has to lose a badge over that.

How would homicide provide probable cause that the individual is drunk? Does that place the smell of alcohol on their breath? Make them slur their speech? Stagger around? Unable to articulate words?

There has to be probable cause to suspect they're under the influence, or there has to be an arrest.
Or they can just ask him to submit to an alcohol or drug test.

Does it mean no one has ever gone to Target to buy milk?

I don't know...I suspect IF a person was in Target buying something else they might pick up milk there IF they needed milk, however I have never heard of anyone going to Target for the sole purpose of buying milk...Do the Targets in Florida sell grocery store items?

I don't know where you've been reading and I guess I'm going to have to go find the links for you...but the story has never changed from the beginning. You are conveniently mixing them all together though.

He was never walking from dad's house to girlfriend's house.

Dad and fiance DID go to dinner.

When his dad and the fiance returned from dinner, Trayvon was not there, he called him, phone was off. He thought he had gone to the movies with his cousin because he had mentioned that he might and had his phone off. Dad fell asleep and when he woke up the next morning, Trayvon was still not there.

All this information is in the initial stories and if you read them, it paints a very clear picture of what transpired. But if you want to portray his dad as a liar, then you mix all this information together and make it seem like he's not telling the truth and has no idea where his son is or what he is doing. It's an ingenius way to try to make his dad look like a liar, but if you've really read the initial news stories and been following the case closely, you know exactly what was going on with Trayvon that night.

Most Targets do. Some are Super Target which is a full grocery store inside the Target (like Super Walmart).

I find it hard to believe that a kid is going to be walking around with a can of warm Arizona Tea for any length of time. I'm not sure where you're going with this, unless it's to claim that he wasn't on his way back from the 7-11? Why would that even be an issue?

Perhaps the point is to try and make it seem like he really was up to no good, scoping out the neighborhood for nefarious purposes. But with a big can of iced tea in hand?

I wondered while reading this, could it be possible Trayvon was looking around because he was lost???? I believe I read he had visited there before, but still, some of these complexes all look alike, well to me anyway, LOL just a thought :-)

You need to be drinking to act stupid and make bad decisions? Or to make an alledged racial slur?

These reasons support my theory that Zimmerman may have been drinking the night he shot Trayvon.

I don't know. But saying someone deliberately put those marks on his head is ridiculous. I don't recall a single post saying the original video was doctored in some way not to show any injury whatsoever.

It's not really doctored. It's enhanced so the picture appears clearer because they have added more pixels to those areas that were shaded and it adds more density, I believe. Example, instead of 100 dots there are now 500 dots so the picture does not seem so fuzzy. But is it really a gash, contusion, etc. or dried blood which appears as if it's a bruise. If the EMT did not do a good job of cleaning him up some of that could be TM's blood. I'll bet they never kept the bloody gauze they used to clean GZ up with as evidence to see if it was his or TM's. jmo

I never paid any attention to this case until I heard the 911 tape of Zimmerman.

I am a "self proclaimed expert" of identifying drunks by their speech and movements. I lived the first 16 years of my life with an alcoholic parent and for your physical and mental well being you learn real fast about word slurring, mush mouth, micro face movements and balance missteps. All my life I have been able to spot a drunk before anyone around me suspected it. There have been some articles lately talking about how a lot of people can do this.

When I first heard that 911 tape I knew I was listening to someone who had been drinking. All based on my past experiences. IMO

Let me ask your opinion of a couple of things.

To me, it sounds as though GZ gets tunnel vision on TM. He seems so fixated that he can't give simple directions to the mailboxes. That seems as though he is either impaired or might be a personality type that can become fixated - Aspergers or similar?

The other thing is during one of the clips I posted the other day - http://www.woodswell.com/images/Trayvon/139swishing.wav - GZ under his breath says "Yeah". The image that comes to my mind is that he's getting his gun out in preparation for following TM. It's right after GZ says, "These *******s they always get away." Does this sound possible to you?

THIS IS PURE SPECULATION ON MY PART. IMO. JMO. ETC.

Wonderful last look at their child, isn't it? NOT!

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/04/03/us-usa-florida-shooting-trayvon-idUSBRE8320UK20120403

how many versions now?

I feel GZ's tale is falling apart at the seams...

I can't wait for April 10, 2012...maybe The Grand Jury will see it differently as well as Angela Cory...she's been silent...
QUOTE from post and link above:

"Zimmerman starts to reach into his pocket to get his cellphone, and at that point Trayvon attacked him. He says Trayvon hits him. He falls on the ground. Trayvon jumps on top of him, takes his left hand and covers Zimmerman's mouth and tells him to shut the F up and continues to pound on him.

How in the world could GZ have been the one screaming in this scenerio? And if TM was doing this - why would those horrible, angonizing screams we here on that tape be coming from TM?

I can't even keep the number of accounts of what happened that night have come from the Z camp.

The truth doesn't change..............
