Thanks Doc - very helpful! Makes some things make a bit more sense.

That is a disturbing letter. Threatening.
Either way it has NEVER really mattered....the snarled under the breath vindictive remark shows hatred, prejudice, and completely unfounded anger....Treyvon was never a punk, nor a goon and certainly not that other word.....
It is the attitude and INTENT of GZ that matters....any word you decide that you hear....it does NOT indicate impartial good will or sound judgement!

I wasn't aware of any typo in the article, but it's not crucial to public perception at all when you consider that George told us the same thing in his 911 call:
Seems pretty clear to me, George says TM's running down towards the back entrance and he's following him.
Somehow I seriously doubt that.
~jmo~
After listening to the even more enhanced audio it sounds even less like punks than before. There is no way in hell that word was punks, it's absurd in my opinion.
I think the alleged letter to the NAACP from the alleged Concerned Zimmerman Family Member as well as the alleged letter sent to the alleged ungrateful woman from the Zimmerman Family, is very peculiar. I hope the Zimmerman Family continues to send out letters, lots of them.
By the way, Robert Zimmerman referred to the alleged letter in an interview with Sean Hannity. Link to which was posted earlier today. If you missed it, here it is: http://nation.foxnews.com/george-zimmerman/2012/04/05/zimmermans-father-speaks-out-hannity
If you have a handsfree device, yes, because there is a mic. My speaker is on my phone so if I were speaking and it was in my pocket no one could hear what I was saying. The earbuds are for hearing only. Plus once I slide the phone back I'm disconnected. They do not say he had a hands free device just earbuds.
Also GZ described TM as having something in his hand which I guessed was his phone since the ice tea and Skittles were still in his hood pocket when he was shot. He did not have anything else. jmo
Indeed! Yet, according to friends and attorneys of GZ, he was badly beaten, head into the concrete, bloody, wrestling in the fight for his life...The situation was so dire that his only option was to use his 9mm.
And yet, less than hour after after GZ shot to kill, the miracle of Sanford must have happened. Because I saw the tape of him walking with ease, absolutely no problems through the police station. I know he got looked over by the EMT's, but they didn't even give him so much as a SpongeBob Bandaid.
I don't buy the "physical attack" defense, either.
Unable to open the pdf, probably my old computer. To whom was that letter sent? Thanks.
More fallout from the disgraceful way the media and other players have inflamed the public:
http://www.toledoblade.com/Police-F...recounts-assault-by-6-youths-in-E-Toledo.html
For investigators, it's unclear whether the assault was motivated by an attempt to avenge the Martin youth's death or whether Mr. Watts' "Remember Trayvon" message was misinterpreted as threatening or racist.
"It's still up in the air who started the verbal confrontation," Sergeant Kennedy said, adding that stories given by the suspect and the victim conflict and the investigation is ongoing.
When asked about the Trayvon remarks, Mr. Watts said, "All I meant by saying 'remember Trayvon' is to remember what happened to him, don't duplicate it here," suggesting that he was minding his own business as he walked home.
"The only reason I mentioned Trayvon, that was my defense," Mr. Watts said. "Don't pick on me. I am not your enemy."

Actually, the call logs document that he called in complaints on people he identified as white as well as Hispanic. I totally understand the comment that someone "looks [ethnicity here]" as sometimes at a distance it is hard to tell. I have often said that someone looks to be of one ethnic background but I'm not sure. IMO, there are many AAs who look white or Hispanic. And I myself am often mistaken for Hispanic or Middle Eastern. My own daughter who is not mixed race has been mistaken for biracial.
IMO, if GZ were sure of TM's race initially he would have said so. But he didn't. IMO, he saw a teenager cutting through the property and decided to follow him because of the recent burglaries, not because of the teenager's skin tone (which, IMO, would have been difficult to tell at night anyway).
JMO, OMO, and :moo:
that in no way changes the fact that a young man was killed.
Hugely different in sequence. He told the dispatcher he was following, he was told he didn't need to do that, GZ said, "OK"
Here is where the difference between "he continued following Trayvon" and "he continued down the same sidewalk", makes a big difference, IMO
It's those subtle differences that become case gospel and are referred to over and over again for years to come.
JMO
It's a small detail, but one of the things that caught my attention when he was escorted into the police station was that he had the presence of mind to wipe his feet on the doormat at one of the doorways. Perhaps it's insignificant, but it just seemed an odd thing to think about doing after you've just been beaten within an inch of your life. Just an observation that seemed oddly out of place given the circumstances.
(Trying to catch up)

Please understand that I'm not trying to argue the point with you, but since you made reference to a huge difference in sequence, that's precisely what it did.
Take your version of his continuing out the same sidewalk he was on all the way to the end as today's statement from RZ says. He then says he heads back towards his truck when jumped by TM at the point the other sidewalk meets the one GZ was walking on.
That TOTAL distance you're thinking he walked is only 313 feet. At avg walking speeds he would have covered the distance in 1:11. There's no way that could be factual because that would put him being attacked before he was ever asked for an address by the dispatcher AND almost a minute BEFORE the 911 call ended.
I agree there is a huge difference in sequence between these story lines and this one is extremely problematic for their credibility.
Well, um, Hannity's latest interview with Robert, Sr., talks about it a little. Basically it was a letter raging to the NAACP asking them to call off the dogs from his son George. And, it talked about the good that George had done on January 2, of 2011 when he passed out flyers to all the Black church-goers trying to activate the Black church-goers to go to a City Commission meeting and complain about the treatment by the then Police Department of a homeless man named Ware. Please update me. What letter was sent to 'the ungrateful woman'? Thanks
