by the courts through cases. This law is fairly new so I don't know what well established case law there is on it. But there's a lot you can do to eviscerate a law through how it is "interpreted" by the court. For example, a case could establish that if you, say, choose to pursue a person who you have already assumed was an armed criminal and against the advice of the 911 operator YOU called then you aren't able to invoke SYG. Something along those lines. A lot will depend on the actual evidence as to whether SYG is even an issue-that will be decided at the hearing to determine whether GZ is immune from prosecution based on SYG. Beyond that, I honestly don't know how it works, i.e. if the hearing determines he's not immune than does SYG still act as an affirmative defense? No clue-never done criminal work so a little beyond me.

I hope everybody knows that charged does not equal convicted. I meant Zimmerman can use this law for his defense the way its written now. The law can not be put on trial during Zimmerman's trial. Because the law exists now and Zimmerman is entitled to use it the way its written now.

Ummm, Trayvon weighed between 140-150 pounds. Couldn't he have just thrown him off?

He's trying very hard to back pedal from his previous statements but this time he stated that Trayvon was sitting on top of him with his hand covering his mouth trying to take his last breath.

Piers Morgan- Robert Jr said they were raised by their maternal grandmother?? I didn't know that. Robert Jr making all the same excuses as before for why George had to kill Trayvon, imo.

And he said he didn't know George was going to turn himself in, even though he'd been talking to him all the time? Why wouldn't George tell him that, with all of this going on? Makes no sense imo. I don't believe anything from the Zimmermans in fact we don't know if the mother is really from Peru or if that was a convenient story to use after George shot & killed an unarmed black teenager. JMO

And apparently he is just lying there allowing Travyon to do this, since I am reasonably certain that I, an old lady who weighs in at right about what Trayvon did, could manage to throw him off of me without shooting him...

No somehow this won't wash either, but be on the lookout for there to be some indication that somehow the gun just went off, setting stuff up for the accidental discharge defense IMO JMHO and stuff
