Okay, the eye roll thing looked like a stress induced response-- I know certain "conditions" have such neural tics, anyone recognize what GZ was doing with his eyes?

(No, I don't think it's from having his head bashed on a sidewalk... jmo)

Who made the request to seal the records, AC or the defense?

Two "independant" voice analyst reviewed the 911 call from Zimmerman and compared it to the screams over heard in another 911. Both stated that the screams did not belong to Zimmerman. They stated that your voice... is like a fingerprint, no two are the same in regards to patterns of wavelength. They show the voice pattern from the 911 call vs the later 911 calls with the screams in the background. They weren't even close. They can't confirm its Trayvon's because they don't Trayvon's on record. But if the screams don't belong to 1... then there is only 1 person left.

I do not believe them. I have not seen where they have proven their software effective in comparing a scream to a normal talking voice. I am sure it is accurate when comparing one normal talking voice to another, but it is my opinion that the complexity of a scream, in tone, pitch, etc., are much different than a talking voice, and can account for the low percentage match.

Perhaps if they also compared the scream to TM’s talking voice and that was a much closer mater, then I may believe it.

Additionally, I guarantee that GZ’s attorney will have an expert testifying that it was in fact GZ.

Plus when this first started, when Zimmerman said it was him screaming, i questioned why somebody would scream for help, when the closest help its inside his own pocket? Who is he expecting help from? If he already is armed with a weapon. And the screams stop suddenly... as soon as the gunshot goes off. And we never hear a peep out of him in the background after that. To me, the voice analysts demonstration, plus the fact that we never hear anything else after tells me those screams belonged to Trayvon.

They would scream for help because he did not want to have to use his firearm. He wanted to end the situation without having to get to the point of having to use his weapon.

If GZ can show that it was him screaming - remember (1) GZ stated that from the start (2) there is an eye witness stating that it was “the guy on the ground in the red jacket” screaming, plus (3) an expert for the defense testifying that it was GZ by way of compareson to GZ and TM, the scream will show that he thought his life was in danger, and had no alternative than to use his weapon. The fact that the screaming stopped immediately indicates that he needed help right up to the point of having to use his gun.

My opinion is the scream is what aquits GZ.

BBM

<modsnip> All you have are 911 recording to base this judgement off of. Have you ever fired blanks? I have. There's no projectile, but it's still clearly identifiable as a gunshot. The bullet does not have to break the sonic barrier for it to be vastly audible. Even weapons with suppressors aren't as "silent" as the movies make them out to be.

<modsnip> I have no intention of getting into a matter of semantics regarding an opinion.

BTW, I own quite a few weapons myself, and frankly it has never occurred to me to feel the need to shoot a blank, so the answer to that materially unrelated question is no.

OT while we are waiting for Gz court appearance.

Thoughtfox,
Wha's up with IN and AZ? Are those states in a time zone or in no mans land? :floorlaugh:

Seriously tho, are those states outlined in red because they stay on either standard time or daylight time all the year long?
Thanks for the lesson on time zones!

wm

Must be an old map. Indiana used to not follow daylight savings time (which was GREAT), but now not only have they instituted daylight savings (against great resistance by a sizable portion of the population), but they have also put us in Eastern time, which means, being as far west as we are, that during the summer it doesn't get dark until 9 or 10 at night!

Who made the request to seal the records, AC or the defense?

I think it was the defense but I was having trouble hearing so I could be wrong.

That's the arraignment but I thought a bond hearing was separate from that.

It is separate....it will have to be requested by his attorney and scheduled with the judge who was just now assigned the case. It can be done in a few days or a week or two depending on the docket of that judge and the courts availability.

won't they have to have a hearing for this?

I understood that it was included in the minutes/order of today's hearing making it effective immediately.

Do you have a link for that other case? Thank you!

Yes, I noticed it too. I knew right away that it wasn't him being disrespectful or feeling annoyed at being there. I think he has some serious issues though and that what has happened with Trayvon would have happened eventually if Trayvon would not have been there that night.

I thought I heard that the bond hearing will be with the circuit court = meaning not today?

That's what it sounded like, it makes sense...I remember FCA's bond hearing where her family was witnesses.

Thankfully most people can see that it was an obvious grieving mother who simply misspoke.

But let's never give a victim the benefit of the doubt, on a victim support site.

JMHO

It was damage control on the initial statement because anyone from the state/family side using the word 'accident' potentially changes certain public perception. The word 'accident' doesn't make GZ a cold blooded killer.
