This case took off like wildfire, and we had not heard anything bout her, dont you think that if you call and say I am trayvons GF anyone & everyone would talk to you? it was on the news... He may not have been staying at home, but that is how she can find someone to listen to her. If you all say that nobody will listen to her surly if you cant be heard you go till you can be.
I would be mortifyied if my BF with whom I speak 3-5 times a day is being followed and I could not find him. THEIS IS NOT SMALL IN MY OPINION.

No actually now a days she may not have known where he lived, their "romance" could have been totally "school based" and she would only know that he lived somewhere in the area that served that school. Also now a days most people do not have land line phones, it is very likely that Trayvon had his own cell phone with his own phone #, Sybrina has her own cell phone with her own separate phone # and his brother has his own cell phone with his own #. She may have only ever known Trayvon's # and you can't call the operator to get cell phone #'s and without paying a service you can't even go online and look up those #'s.

So are you suggesting that due to the cell phones today, children if they hear another child in danger have no recourse?

I am not suggesting she did not love her boy friend.
I am suggesting that maybe she was not that worried.
that means that maybe that report was influenced.

Like the original decision not to charge GZ? I don't think the girl made stuff up. Attorneys know the phone records will show who called who and when and how long the call lasted. That's one thing that can't be swept under the rug!

As far as her being 'not that worried', maybe she hasn't had the life experiences that would give her insight and make her worried. After all, she is only 15.

Times have changed since you were 17, teenagers have changed since you were 17, they have been exposed (via media) to so much more than you could have even imagined when you were 17. For better or worse they are more "calloused" than you were at 17, they have seen and been exposed to so much more of the world than you even knew existed when you were 17.

Yes that is true and also now a day being more calloused perhaps TM did attack GZ like he stated.IMO He was not in his truck and on his way back to it when the confrontation started.Teens today are a lot different then they use to be just as you have stated.

Songline, how do you know for sure that the young girl did not try to call someone to help?

The call between TM & GF (lets say) at 6:00 - 6:45
The calles with GZ and 911 (lets say) :6:35 - 6:36
The shot hapend at .....
The cops arrived ....
and so on...

No, in this case, I think it's the fact that you pointed out the girl is in Miami and that's hours away from Sanford. Miami PD wouldn't be responding, JMO...
OT- between Casey Anthony and this case, I have learned alot about the geography of Florida!

I don't think it's hearsay if it was said to her directly (she heard it with her own ears) as opposed as someone else saying what she said he said.

I would think that the tapes/ phone records would be brought into court and she would be questioned about them, as was Amber Frey in Scott Peterson's trial. In that case, her testimony is not hearsay. But maybe Gitana or AZLawyer will clarify for us.

IIRC That was because of the shooting for the safety of other students.

Well, hopefully GZ got in everything he wanted to get in during his original police statement, recorded interview, and walk-through the night of the shooting and the day after because that will be his statement to stick by.

We don't have Trayvon's version of what happened. But she'll be a witness especially if her phone records match up.
