Maybe they aren't trying to make a profit off of this tragedy.

Nope, no more than I believe that if George had the injuries he claimed to have, pics would have been taken and his family would have been circulating them to every news media outlet (for a fee of course...). JMO~

Who said they would be trying to make a profit? They could simply hand over photographs for the media to release? No money has to be exchanged?

Then how about releasing them to the media for free, in order to substantiate GZ's claims that he was the victim that night?

With all this space stuff up in outerspace, we should really have video or at least screenshots of what happened that night!

In Sanford, she said, watch groups are not even supposed to make the rounds. That is the job of another kind of volunteer organization, Citizens on Patrol, whose members are selected and trained by the police and who drive the streets in a specially marked vehicle. Members of that group, Ms. Dorival said, “are armed only with a radio.”

A wide range of neighborhood watch organizations exist across the country. Some have patrols, while others like Sanford’s do not. But the National Sheriffs’ Association, which sponsors the program nationwide, is absolutely clear on one point: guns have no place in a watch group. A manual distributed by the association repeatedly underscores the point: “Patrol members do not carry weapons.”

The manual warns that watch members should “not attempt to apprehend a person committing a crime or to investigate a suspicious activity.” It should be emphasized to members of patrols, the materials state, that “they do not possess police power and they shall not carry weapons.” The consequences of not following the guidelines are severe, the manual states: “Each member is liable as an individual for civil and criminal charges should he exceed his authority.”

I am that person and yes, if George Zimmerman would set up a website to raise funds for his defense, than he'd certainly accept $$ for any pics he had taken of his claimed injuries!

Like a photo of that marked patrol truck, for instance? :)

Which reminds me, was it determined if there were security cameras around the clubhouse that could have recorded TM or GZ that night?

Actually, according to a member we have here, I believe the name is Lisa??, who is a member of her neighborhood watch that is exactly what he was supposed to do. His job was not to "physically protect" anything. Eyes and ears only.

We have no PROOF that GZ did anything in the way of provoking a physical confrontation.. they asked him not to follow Tray,he said OK and then he went in the opposite direction to get the address from they next street. By that time, it was dark. He would not have been able to see Tray if he was half way down that sidewalk. It was on his way back that the confrontation happened. He was attacked from behind. We have saw photos, we have seen/heard witness accounts of the bandages he had, and of his swollen/bandaged nose. My goodness, what more does one need to make an assessment of who was the aggressor here?

I know HiHater posted a picture of a sign that said they had security cameras, but maybe it was just for show? Who knows? I don't know if I trust Sanford even looked at them if they existed and they may have been taped over before the new SA took over the case.

How would George's car being marked as a "Neighborhood Watch" vehicle be confidential information? I would think that George always making his rounds with a loaded gun would be a lot more "confidential" than a marked vehicle.

MOO

The marked vehicle would be part of the ongoing investigation, to which the records were sealed before any information was let out. The gun was common knowledge from the start. JMO

I am really sorry, but I have no idea where you got some of this information from?

Why wouldn't he be able to see Trayvon walking? He was wearing a gray sweatshirt? Some say it could even be the one we have seen him wearing in pictures? It's not like he was walking naked down the sidewalk?

Someone (I forgot who), made the suggestion that his family would be selling photos of his injuries to the media "for a fee of course."

Yes, I seen it. Another member already pointed out to me and I hit my thanks button. But as I stated... there doesn't have to be any fee involved... just give the photographs to the media to release.
