I haven't read any report of him being involved in the CoPs program. It might be the case that Zimmerman's zeal for his watch position wasn't being fully satisfied by his own neighborhood (maybe not enough going on to keep him occupied?) and he took to patrolling other neighborhoods to fill his time.

I don't know of a single neighborhood watch program that endorses its members to carry firearms, but here is a link to the Seminole County Sheriff's office page dedicated to their program if you'd like to call and ask them for specifics.

The calls took place over several years and I don't believe that GZ was living in the same community when he started making calls.

GZ took a plea and entered a First Offenders diversion program. Once he completed the requirements and the requisite program period was over (no info online about this but most are about one year) his charges were dropped. Therefore there was no impediment to his getting a concealed weapon permit. There is no need to posit a work related exception.

However, your Leon County link does not address it. The link is unrelated to the issue, IMO.

I believe it may be a type of hold under a particular statute related to bond/probation limitations for certain violent felons, but am not certain about that. Notice that there is no Case number listed for that entry. Hmm.

We have no PROOF that GZ did anything in the way of provoking a physical confrontation.. they asked him not to follow Tray,he said OK and then he went in the opposite direction to get the address from they next street. By that time, it was dark. He would not have been able to see Tray if he was half way down that sidewalk. It was on his way back that the confrontation happened. He was attacked from behind. We have saw photos, we have seen/heard witness accounts of the bandages he had, and of his swollen/bandaged nose. My goodness, what more does one need to make an assessment of who was the aggressor here?

Yet, this same 14 year-old wouldn't notice, or couldn't be bothered to tell Trayvon's father any of this, and instead Mr. Martin has to call around town searching for his son?

Sorry, that just doesn't sound plausible to me.

I do remember something about TM being on the porch, don't know if it was true. Could be Brandy heard so many different stories that she didn't know what to think. I would imagine she was also pretty much out of her mind too!

I suppose anything is possible, within reason. But if he needed bandages, why would he not have gotten them from the licensed EMTs who examined him?

That's a tidbit that I find to be very curious: the area in which Martin's body was found was lit, though it's not clear how well. There are lights on the back of the houses, in addition to whatever light is coming from inside the homes. I can't tell from the pictures of the back path area, but usually there are also light posts at set intervals, aren't there?
In any case, it was along the path that split the backyard area between the rows of townhouses, and that's an area that the residents apparently used often, not some dark alleyway or anything. So I'm unclear as to why visibility was such an issue.

There weren't any light posts that I could see in any of the photos of the sidewalk. It is possible that not too many people had their porch lights on which would account for the darkness.

I'm confused, didn't 1 neighbor say GZ had a huge bandage on his nose ? then how did the other neighbor see swelling under the bandage ?

Nope and nope and they were both posted...there is now another one on 75 or 76. youtube isn't like a blog, FB, etc. Don't know where they fall within the rules but they would have been removed by now IMO if they crossed a line.

I saw the interview and I know what MommaKK51 means. It's confusing because she seems to be saying things disjointedly. I got the impression she was very emotional and that what she meant was that the couldn't believe that the same boy who had just been sitting on her porch was dead. I thought she might have meant sitting on the porch when she and Mr. Martin went out to dinner.
