What do you think GZ wants to accomplish in a meeting with TM's family?

I have a hard time picturing the man who chose the Edmund Burke quote and the vandalism photo and gets his friends out telling everybody that TM beat him to a bloody pulp sincerely saying I'm sorry that your precious son is dead so what good could possibly come out of such a meeting?

It's out of the Martin family hands now, anyway.

When it was first brought up about George wanting to sit down with Trayvon's parents, I didn't really see a problem with it, but I had also not looked at his website. After seeing the website and the things he had written on there -- I am 100% positive that George Zimmerman has no right to say anything to Trayvon's parents. Trayvon's parents owe George nothing! George owes them his arse in court... in front of a Judge and Jury!

He, IMO, feels no remorse for what he did. He believes he really did the right thing from start to finish. The only thing he feels sorry for is his own butt because it didn't just "blow over" like he wanted it to.

I don't know what the mentality is up in Central Florida -- but don't mess with people from South Florida. That was the mistake Sanford Police made in this case... they also believed it would just all blow over... just like they have been doing things for years... they didn't expect Trayvon's parents to be from out of the area and therefore they (Trayvon's parents) didn't have that type of fear instilled in them to where they wouldn't question them. SPD messed up. They messed up big time!

LOL I would say sorry Concerned Papa, but it's still bugging me too!

After seeing those pictures of guys fighting, the only logical assumption is IMO that Tray was getting up(fight over) and GZ shot him at that moment while Tray was getting up. I am extremely curious as to how close/which angle the shot was fired.

I consider it a possibility that GZ was not "going after" TM, only keeping him within eye distance so he can report to LE when they arrived. I know many here disagree with that, but when I go through the evidence that is where I am led. We all draw our own conclusions from the evidence, and I still have not seen anything to indicate that GZ started the physical confrontation.

If he wasn't going after Trayvon & was just keeping an eye on him til cops arrived, why did he decide not to follow or watch him anymore?.. he claimed he was walking back to his truck when Trayvon attacked him from behind & beat his head into the sidewalk etc? :waitasec:

We all know what George was doing. He was not going to check out an address. He was hell-bent on making sure Trayvon didn't get away.

If I was related to George, I wouldn't want to show my face either? I also wouldn't be calling in to help him get bond either? I think he's better off in jail. He really needs to stay away from computers too.

I haven't been able to keep up with this case for a few days and don't know if this has been discussed on the threads. With GZ's bond hearing scheduled for tomorrow morning, I would like to know why his attorney insists that the bond amount should be reasonable so that his family can afford to get Zimmerman released from jail.

I can give two examples (both in Michigan) of bonds that would in no way be "affordable" for the families of the respective inmates: 1) John Skelton who is being held on $30million bond for parental kidnapping of his three young sons, and 2) D'Andre Lane who is being held on $3million bond for child abuse and the murder of his 2-year-old daughter whose body has not been recovered. Skelton was an unemployed truck driver with a house in foreclosure when his sons disappeared. D'Andre Lane spent time behind bars and hasn't had much in the way of work experience. Living in Detroit, I rather doubt that Lane has relatives who can come up with the funds to bond him out of jail. In both cases, the bonds were determined by the severity of the crime and not whether or not the families of these "fathers" could afford to get them out of jail.

Why would a judge have to determine that the bond amount for Zimmerman should be based on what his family can afford? GZ is charged with second degree murder in the death of an unarmed teenager. Who's to say that he would not do something rash again if he is released from jail until trial? :waitasec:

IIRC, it was confirmed as being the website that he started by the previous attorneys, both Sonner and Uhrig in the news conference where they announced they were stepping aside.

George's lawyer confirmed it at the time and it is still there. With all the different LE looking at this case I don't think they would allow a crook to continue collecting money under George's name.

GZ weighed 40-50 pounds more than TM. How does that make them evenly matched?

I don't know. I've seen various weights given/assumed for both. IMO, GZ is much smaller than I expected him to be. And TM was much taller than GZ. If GZ's story is true that he was sucker punched, then I could see him being down on the ground at one point, but being able to roll/wrestle his way on top. IMO, if they were even fighting, it was probably give and take.

Great questions and one I would like to ask as well - Zimmerman has been declared indigent by the state, therefore, O'Mara's attorney fees will be paid. If Zimmerman is indigent, how is he going to be able to post a bond and yes I realize that his family could post the bond for him; however, myself, as a tax payer in the state of Florida, it is rather disturbing to me that my hard earned tax money is going to pay for this dude's defense yet he is allowed to roam free on bond. If he can't afford his own attorney, he shouldn't be able to afford his bond.

I don't know, maybe they wouldn't be as convincing in person ? we've seen R.Zimmerman jr. in person but not Sr., perhaps they don't want to be followed or seen by the press ?

If the family can afford to post bond for GZ, then WHY are the citizens of Florida expected to pay for the cost of his attorney(s) ????

His bond better be more than $500,000.00!! Not to bring up FCA or anything, but her original charges were no where near 2nd degree murder and her bond was $500,000.00.

George admits to shooting Trayvon -- I think his bond should be at least an even million.

Okay, why is it of great importance (can you make the distinction between this and necessity, please?), to document a permit that is held by the owner? It's in the state database. He's not breaking any laws by having it. The permit is not an element of the crime that took place, nor is it really materially relevant if the person is in possession of it... Why should it be mentioned in the police report? If there was any question to it at a later date, it's recorded in a statewide database.

Last try... Owning/having the gun IN ITSELF is not the issue (to me), rather, the fact that THE GUN WAS JUST USED TO TAKE THE LIFE OF TRAYVON would, IMO, make it especially important to record/document ALL information pertaining to that particular gun - that would include legal ownership, permit to carry license, etc. Done~
