Trayvon and his family no longer have the choice of being together as a family. GZ took care of that.

Nothing has been released at this point. Defense requested everything be sealed at this point. Media organizations have filed a motion trying to get everything released but no date set yet that I've heard for a hearing.

I get what you are saying, but lets not be so quick to dis the lawyer. Its his job to defend his client and lumping him in with baez, at this point, seems a bit premature.

IMO, the biggest plausibility problem with scenarios that involve the confrontation starting after the gun was pulled out is the witness who says the guy in red was on the ground. I just don't see how GZ ended up on the ground if the gun was already out.

To my mind, GZ reaching for his phone, TM thinking he's going for the gun decks him, GZ ends up on the ground, this scenario is believable. Whereas GZ has gun drawn, TM decks him, is highly doubtful.

I hope , in this scenario and there are many, somebody will ask why GZ was reaching for his phone. To call the LE non emergency number again? And what for reason? I hated that interviewer when GZ Sr was not asked why his son would reach for his cell phone in the presence of a dangerous criminal teenager ,albeit only in his very active imagination though.

What did SPD have to gain by letting Zimmerman go? Nothing, but at that point, they thought they had nothing to lose.

They thought Trayvon was a young , who was in the process of casing houses.

Exactly! It was after they found out Who he was and how he came to be in the back of the town homes. Imagine this happening in your backyard. You know that everybody was out after LE was there, and no one knew who he was. Once they got GZ back to the station and iirc then took 3 hours to do a report, still no word. It was not until the next morning when Tracey Martin called did they then know who he was. I would think this is when the investigation jumped into a faster pace. It lasted about a week and iirc that is when a member of the city commissioners stepped it up another notch (this is my opinion) and contacted someone else higher up to look at what was going on in Sanford Fl. And it is my opinion that is how the doj got involved as well.

It would just be nice to have some other verification other than the two guys who called themselves 'his lawyers' when in reality they were never of the sort.

Those men would be risking their livelihoods if they lied about thinking they were GZ's attorneys. I suspect that they truly believed they were retained by GZ or someone in his family then when GZ denied it to AC, they decided that a public withdrawal was the best way to CYA.

As for the website(s), here is what they said:

Uhrig said that last Thursday, he and Sonner helped George Zimmerman's father, Robert Zimmerman, set up a website to solicit donations for George's legal defense and living expenses. They said that they had not been able to reach Zimmerman on Sunday, the day before the site was to go live. The site's address, ****************.com, had been made available to news outlets.

"On Sunday we lost track of George in that he wouldn't return our phone calls, and we couldn't get hold of him," Uhrig said. "We had no reason at that time to believe that it was anything suspect."

But Zimmerman set up another website that was different from the one set up by his attorneys and his father.

"On Monday we began fielding questions ... 'Did we know anything about [*******************.com] website?' And our initial response was, 'Well, that's probably bogus, we don't know anything about that.' And we started making inquiries and, frankly, confirmed that he, through friends or family, had in fact set that site up and it was legitimate. We immediately began telling the media, disregard the earlier website we gave you that we had set up. Go for the one we now know that he set up."

There is much more at the link about those two attorneys withdrew and I really do understand why they made a public spectacle of that withdrawal. GZ had ignored their advice and GZ had repudiated their representation to the Special Prosecutor, even though they had been publicly maintaining that they were his attorneys. If they could not communicate with or control their ostensible client, they needed to get out of that relationship and let the world know that they were no longer associated with him.

A little bit about a hollow-point bullet -

A hollow point is a bullet that has a pit or hollowed out shape in its tip, often intended to cause the bullet to expand upon entering a target in order to decrease penetration and disrupt more tissue as it travels through the target. After reading this, why in the world would Zimmerman need bullets like this for his gun? Why isn't this type of bullet illegal? This makes it even more sickening to me and Zimmerman can say all he wants to that he didn't think Trayvon was seriously injured but he knew full well what that bullet was capable of.

and to think there are people out there supporting this man and defending his actions. Sickening.

Because that's a common self-defense round. It works extremely well for its purpose. They don't normally over-penetrate, so its less likely that the bullet would pass through and hit someone or something else.

I'm not sure why this type of bullet should be made illegal. If you're using deadly force, the intent is to kill. That's what this round is capable of doing. That's what any round is capable of doing. The issue is the usage of deadly force, not what type of round might be used.

I carry Hornady Critical Defense rounds in my weapon. They are hollow-points with a polymer-filled tip that guarantees expansion upon impact. I've never had to use my weapon, and hope I never have to. However, if I have to, I want to know that what I've got will stop the threat.

I don't ever recall Trayvon's parents telling the media what Trayvon was suspended for because they thought it was irrelevent? What I do remember is how upset Trayvon's mother was when the information about Trayvon's suspension was leaked and she said it was like killing her son in death.

What Trayvon was suspended for was never relevent in this case unless he assaulted a teacher/principle/resource officer or any adult working in the school.

I do not see any comparison between Baez and O.Mara. IMO. Baez was a blowhard, an inexperienced, egotistical ambulance chaser, with zero credibility.
O'Mara is President of the local Bar association, and I don't think Baez was even a member of the bar association, IIRC.

O'Mara is soft-spoken and careful with his words, and has an excellent reputation with both sides of the system.
