the photo is real but it appears someone enhanced the colors and saturation. That blood red color is not a natural part of that photo as evidenced by the odd coloring of the rest of the photos. And yes it may be blood but as it was raining, it is expected that water and blood mixed would make paths.

my questions relate to who took the photo, why Mr Zimmerman was not cuffed, why he was on a phone, and whether or not the State will have phone records for Mr Zimmerman and the phone this photo was taken on.

I do not believe the photo was enhanced. I believe his head and the blood appear to be brighter than the background because the flash was used and the picture was taken up close. It was dark.
