Just for the record: IMO, GZ is a wanna be hero. He is a controlling man who disregards the wishes of others and he appears to be paranoid and possibly more than just a little. Because of his overwhelming desire to "help" people and to intervene when he is told not to and the fact that he feels the need to carry a concealed semi-automatic pistol with hollow point bullets, IMO he is a dangerous man.

Paranoia and guns are a bad combination.

O'Mara on HLN now, just said GZ wanted to and made the decision to get up on the stand. O'mara had to agree to it. GZ is certainly running the show. O'Mara says the apology self serving or not was heart felt to him :sick:

Zimmerman's lawyer just said on insessions he knew the family refused to meet to hear the apology. IMO

Sorry but this really is unbelieveable to me.

Just curious if we have this same mindset in every murder case when it comes to the victims families?

And again, it's all apples/oranges to GZ's apology, and it doesn't have anything to do with Trayvon's parents not wanting to hear both sides. they have every right to speak out about something like this, has nothing to do with not wanting to hear both sides.

To say that if the family didn't want to hear it they could have just left is absurd on every level. As if they knew that he would just blurt it out in time for them to have left before he said it.

It's just another way to put everything on the victim's family and divert it away from the one on trial.

He said it, he owns it.

Anyone who goes into a courtroom should know full well that in a court of law both sides are heard. I'm seriously stunned that it would be even remotely suggested that the defendant should be silenced because what he has to say might be upsetting. This is America. This is justice. The defendant is allowed to be heard. I can't imagine wanting our justice system to work any differently.

I ask again, how is it any different then if he went in front of a news camera and did it? Are they not going to watch/listen to that? I sincerely doubt it.

He's allowed to say what he wants, including an apology. Ask any defense attorney worth anything if they would of allowed their client to talk to the victim's family before today. Ask Hornsby, I bet I know what his answer will be.

All digital photographs are tagged with EXIF (exchangeable image file format) data. And EXIF data can be edited. There are even free programs available for that, at least on a PC - EXIF Date Changer is one. The description of the program says:

EXIF Date Changer allows you to inspect the EXIF metadata in the photos taken from digital cameras and to change various Date/Time entries. The EXIF Metadata is information about an image, for example: title, width and height, camera model, artist and so on.

Most of image processing software rebuilds (and destroys some private tags) EXIF metadata when saving an image file. EXIF Date Changer accesses to an image using binary operations only and allows the changing of EXIF Date/Time tags without changing an image metadata structure.

I've never used this kind of program - I want to preserve, not alter the EXIF data on my photographs. But it takes absolutely no programming ability to use a program of this type, just the ability to download and install the program and run it. The link above shows a screen shot of the program's interface, and it looks super easy to use.

ETA - since there is also an issue of editing GPS data, I looked for a program to do that. This one is not free but it will edit GPS data in the EXIF data: PowerEXIF (http://www.opanda.com/en/pe/). The description of that part of the program's capabilities:

We know, Exif information can record GPS data of photos. Now, more and more digicam makers bring GPS into their products for recording GPS data while take a photo. PowerExif allows user to add or modify all GPS standard tags(31 kinds). The feature provides powerful technical support for nicely position the place taken photos.

So that is also readily available to the casual computer user.
