there are dead spots on all of them for names and addresses.

I know that. I understand the names and addresses, but that was all they redacted, right? I don't think they redacted anything else?

I don't think the two versions, one being 'fed exed' and 'funds being transferred' mean that he is lying. Both could easily be true.

And how was he supposed to know about the 200 grand in that PayPal account? You think he knew that and willfully lied to the courts, in a high profile case like this? I am sorry, but i don't think he is going to put his reputation or his license on the line for GZ. JMO

GZ collected a very large amount of money in a short period of time. I am not sure even he himself knew exactly how much was in that account while he was in jail, let alone his lawyer.
I am also curious-is that unprecedented? I've never heard about a defendant in a murder case collecting that much money for their defense/living expenses.

Nope. I think he either deliberately didn't ask him or instructed him not to tell him how much was in the accounts. Like I said, I think he walks a fine line wrt ethics.

What that picture shows is the end of his four sizes too big belt.

The size of his belt is not important, but I'm really curious how you came to the conclusion that it is 4 sizes too big?

Neighbor #1: Uh, no. A guy yelling “help.” Oh, my God! Um, there’s a guy with a flashlight in the backyard now. I think there’s flashlights, and there’s a guy – I don’t know if that’s a cop.

911 Dispatcher: OK, we’ve had several calls in. Are you sure you heard voices? Was there just one …

Neighbor #1: There’s two guys. There’s two guys in the backyard with flashlights um, and there’s a black guy down and it looks like he’s been shot and he’s dead. He’s laying and there’s multiple people calling. [5:50]

He didn't identify anyone as black until one or both of the people with flashlights probably aimed their lights at the body, seems to me.

I just have a funny feeling that he did alot of embellishing after the fact. But, its just a feeling and just my opinion at the moment.

I have had that same funny feeling for a while. I had questioned his 911 call a while back, it didn't add up to what was being claimed. It was being used as he was right there and saw everything, then he went home and upstairs to call 911, a real eye witness to it all, he solved the case for GZ. It's sounding more and more like he wasn't any closer than the other witnesses. I really hope we hear more about this at trial.

Trayvon looked like any other teenager. It is horrible that some paranoid freak thought he didn't belong in this world.

That makes me believe Trayvon's hood was down since John could tell he was black because he was laying face down with his hands under him.

Made bigger by me. I don't think he ever went outside either. He would have said, "I'm not going BACK outside" or he would have given more detail pertaining to when he was outside. (which he wasn't)

"John locked his patio door and ran upstairs." This tells me he was either looking out his patio door, or he was on his patio during the time the altercation was going on. In order for John to tell them to "stop", he'd have to have been partially, at least, outside. IMO

I don't think you can know that for sure. I think the high amount took them all by surprise.

Either way, a defense attorney has to make decisions like that. He cannot ask a client certain questions or he will not be able to legally do his job. That is how the justice system is set up.

If you or one of your family had the need for a defense attorney then you would be looking at this with a different POV, imo.

If Trayvon fell face first onto the ground from standing up like Zimmerman said his nose would be broke.

He was standing inside his home and with the patio door opened looking through the screen yelling at them. Simple most logical thing.

The checks, money orders, etc., were fed-exed, the paypal account has to be transferred.

Hi vl~ except that's not what O'Mara said. Here are transcripts of his two conflicting explanations of how he got the big money from George. :)

April 26
Anderson Cooper:

O'MARA: ... he said what to do with all the money in the PayPal accounts after we closed out his presence. And I asked him what he talked about. He told me the amount. I said, well, that's a significant amount of money, we need to secure that because we need to make sure that we administer it properly. And it came right to me. He'd literally FedEx'd me the checks.

April 27
Jane Velez Mitchell:

O'MARA: ...as soon as the opportunity presented itself for George to discuss it with me, as soon as that presented himself in telling me without question and transferring the money into my trust accounts, literally moments later, so I know his position in it.

Did Z know, and when did he find out. He was communicating with the fam regularly.
Here's the thing...I feel certain at least a few of the Z's knew about the money. I can't believe they "avoided" telling GZ during the regular phone calls. They knew they were going to have to raise bond, and it's absurd to me to that the entire group was ignoring the cash cow in the room.

And sometime between when the money gushed in, and when the bond was set...some members of the fam knew enough about the money to spend $50,000 or so. You're either poor and indigent, or you're not and your spending averages around $1500.00 a day. You can't be both.

I kinda think the best thing that came out of this was that the SA's office might have gotten a little snapshot of fam ethics, dynamics...JMO...

Can we get a "Light a Candle" thread for Trayvon?

Quite honestly, Emma, I don't think its very smart starting a FB page in such a high profile case. I think it may backfire on him.

How so? IMO the Anthony case serves as a model for future defence lawyers with the big bucks to really finesse the media and the system. For example, I wonder if MOM is looking for or has hired those social media scrutinisers (sorry, don't recall what they're called) who trawl the net for opinion and theories; and then they manipulate how the story is told. It seems to me FB is the first step. No doubt they have already hit WS and perhaps even have planted someone to test theories, etc. as I'm guessing they did in the past with the A case.

I don't understand judges who do not agree to a gag order. There is so much manipulation going on with social media etc., as the Anthony case has shown, that there's no doubt that the ones with the big bucks are more likely to win. It's a brave new world, and IMO, judges with their heads in the sand are doing a disservice to the course of justice, and more significantly, to victims.

MOM I think is a master manipulator. He will not be a buffoon, but he is Machiavellian, and yet will still look good, earnest, trustworthy and 'ethical' on the surface. I also think he's a liar. Won't try the case in the media? Yeah, pull the other one. IMO.
