Can someone explain this theory about the gun chamber to me? I don't understand anything about guns.

The pistol is a semi-automatic pistol. All you have to do is pull the trigger to shoot. You do not have to 🤬🤬🤬🤬 it to shoot again. Each time you pull the trigger 1 bullet will come out.

It is self cocking, which means when you pull the trigger a piece on the top of the gun towards the back slides back, kicks out the brass from the fired shell and then loads a new shell into the chamber and you can pull the trigger again to fire.

Something might have interfered with that part on the top part of the gun that slides back to kick out the old shell and load the new one.

It could have slid back far enough to kick out the old brass but not far enough to load the new bullet so you would find no new bullet in the gun and no old brass from the fired shell.

All this talk is because when the cop checked Zimmerman's gun, there was no old brass in it and no new bullet which there should have been.

I'm glad the elderly couple have gotten a lawyer. What Spike Lee was completely irresponsible and could have seriously got them hurt.

However... Spike Lee was not the first person who tweeted this address. This tweet has been going out for weeks. He's not the only celebrity that has re-tweeted it. He's definitely not the only non-celebrity who tweeted it.

I wonder how hard it would be for their lawyer to get the original source of the tweet? Not that I don't think Spike Lee should be held accountable, but because I believe that person should be held accountable too.

It was a semi automatic ready to fire. No cocking required. Just pull the trigger.
And agree that Tray got a hold of the front of the gun, hence the malfunction and was trying to push it away, hence his arms under his body. And not where he was abusing GZ's head.

You are correct for all shots except that first one. The slide mechanism has to be manually pulled back to engage the top shell in the magazine and load into the firing chamber.

You can see this required action at about the :25 mark of this video.

Ever hear the term "Lock and Load"? That's what my posts referred to as a cocked gun. Sorry it wasn't more clear.

Anybody new to this forum: If anybody is questioning why GZ's father did not want to show his face on TV is because He, his son, their family, friends, etc. are receiving Death threats.

Just think I'd say that just in case people were wondering why GZ's father did not want his face shown.

I think it depends on what side of the fence you are on.

If you want to see a wound, it's a wound.
If you don't want to see a wound, it's a shadow or hair growth.

JMO

It's obviously not a wound, because it disappears from some angles.

I knew people would post still shots, because that gives the opportunity to isolate a shadow as a bruise/cut. Look at the entire video; in most cases a video gives a more complete account than a still shot. I'm not going to believe a few still shots, when I see the video for myself.

George Zimmerman is a liar, and that videotape proves it. :moo::twocents:

I agree. They should all be held accountable.

Sue them all!

Spike Lee has over 250,000 followers so I would think his did more damage.

But I say find them all. Shouldn't be hard to do. I'm sure Twitter could do it with the push of a few buttons.

That reminds me of this one from March 5th.

The Sanford Police Department has received complaints from the President of the Homeowners Association for the Retreat at Twin Lakes regarding members of the media trespassing on the property.
The community is gated and they are requesting that we inform you that you are not allowed on property, unless invited by a resident. Please, be respectful of the communityÂ’s wishes.
This is a friendly notice that the community has requested we take enforcement action if unauthorized individuals are located on their property.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Do they mean like Trayvon was invited by a resident??
Where has anyone implied he wasn't?

I gotta say something. I live in a townhouse condo complex with one drive in and out about 50 units. It's owner occupied with a couple units rental and a couple in foreclosure. Neighbors know who lives there, children, spouses, and visitors to units are welcome. What isn't welcome is squatting in vacant units, people attempting to use the pool without being accompanied by an owner ect.

There has been some recent car/truck tool thefts and neighbors are on the watch. Now I don't care if a person is white/black/old/young/hoodie/no-hoodie, hispanic or purple. If you're unknown to the complex, people watch activities and if it's out of place it's usually known.

I think people would be negligent not to be observant and vigilant. I know some unknown people are watched just to see which unit they are associated with.

If a child went missing people here would be saying, I can't believe nobody saw anything because their not allowed to look at people with hoodies. Wrongo bongo...it's straw man at it's best.

Now it's a tragedy this young man lost his life and I can feel for his family but I'm way back trying to sort out facts from fiction.
Watch yes, call LE for a drive-by yes, but not stalk and shoot!!!

I had a thought last night. I wonder if this was a case of mistaken identity. Let me explain,

Maybe GZ had gotten wind of a drug dealer operating in and/or around the complex. Maybe GZ had a conversation with this narc detective about it. Maybe when GZ first saw Trayvon - he mistook him for this "guy". GZ talks about "looks like he's on drugs or something" "something is definitely up with this guy" "he's got his hand in his waistband" "he's checking me out" etc. etc.

Maybe GZ being the overzealous wannabe he is - really thought Trayvon had a gun and figured if he shot him - it would be justified since the other guy had a gun.

If that narc detective was on duty and monitoring the calls - he would have heard about GZ calling this "suspicious guy" in.

The witnesses that say they saw GZ standing (or kneeling) over Trayvon immediately after the shooting with his hands on his back - boy that tells me GZ was going through Trayvon's pockets. And I bet - when GZ realized that there wasn't a second gun - he was up the creek. That would also explain him wandering around like the witnesses said and how he wouldn't answer them at first and then finally said "call the police".

It might also explain why Trayvon was listed as a John Doe at first as well. If that is the case - I would really like to know at what point did LE realize it was Trayvon and not "the other guy" like they thought?

I think each and every person who is actively participating in and deliberately encouraging this vigilante BS should be made to pay....what you do you are responsible for whether it is on the internet where so many people feel they are anonymous or anywhere else....a threat on the internet is just as much a threat as one face to face....Hang em all it should NOT be tolerated IMO JMHO and stuff

BBM

Just like items on the cops' clothing disappear at some points. The video is already blurry because of how it was shot, and then it was compressed. While I'm not sure his injuries are as visually "attractive" as they were made out to be, I don't think this video tells the whole story by any means.

Well, he could have just worn a hoodie instead...

<sneaking back to corner>

There's been enough death already. Compounding the hate won't do a thing to bring back TM.

We need real justice here - no more street justice.

We have to remember that GZ thought TM had a weapon. So, in a struggle, GZ shot him. I am sure that he was stunned after it happened, that is why he didn't respond to the people immediately or try to give medical assistance. I am sure he was absolutely dazed, after both men fought for their lives. Tray was 6'3 football player, wearing big clothes. He must have looked enormous. It's a tragic situation but really, if a huge guy who you thought had a weapon, was fighting with you, and you had a gun, who wouldn't try to shoot? I am sure if TM had a weapon as well, this situation may have turned out differently.
Then GZ should have claimed it was an accident, instead of going into CYA mode...

I agree 100% that a celebrity re-tweeting it caused a lot more damage then someone who is not a celebrity. I just think if they can trace it back to the original source, that the person who first tweeted it, that person should be held responsible too. No one would have re-tweeted it if that person didn't tweet it in the first place.

Um...George Zimmerman "implied" he wasn't?

:moo::twocents:
George Zimmerman never said anything about his residency status within the neighborhood. JMO

Thank you for the timeline summary!

I'm not certain there was any wrestling, we do know from a 911 call - there was at least 35+ seconds of screaming before the shooting. Did GZ mistake TM's cell phone for a gun in the dark and pulled out his own in response?

Witness described Trayvon on top of GZ beating GZ. I believe this was 'John" and the 13 year old witness.

Those da#n evil hoodies. I knew they were trouble. They are just like Rock and Roll, and that heathen Elvis and his shaking pelvis! It all leads to wild drinking and drugging and sexing! Those of you who have them should burn them now!!!!!!!!!! Save Amerika' da#nit burn a hoodie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would contribute $$ to have that on billboards across the US!

My biggest problem with what we learned last night was them saying there were two confrontations. It makes no sense at all!

Think about it...

Trayvon walks up to Zimmeman's truck and asks "What's your problem?" Zimmerman replies, "Nothing." and rolls up his window.

Dials the non-emergency number.

His call to LE do not match up to a prior confrontation. He says he doesn't even know if the kids black. If Trayvon had already approached him at his truck, he would know! He would have also told the dispatcher that.

We don't know why he was doing that, He could have been going through his pockets or he could not have.

I'd be wandering around too if I just shot and killed someone. I bet he was in shock.
