See how Casey's mind works? How she lies? It was Clint that was in Jacksonville on fathers day....she just takes things she hears and applies it to herself. She is unreal. This is in my gut how she got Zaneida's name also. She somehow overheard it at Sawgrass and she used it. Same tactic.

CINDY ANTHONY: Well, what happened was, to set the background right, she had told me that she had been in Jacksonville for the last week and a half. We had gotten a notice in the mail that we had a registered letter.

Absolutely. She works with what she knows. It's why there are so many half truths, or things with a tinge of fact and the majority bs.

The neighbor verified that casey brought it back within an hour....

A shovel there is clearly one in the garage, may be another in a shed as well.

  • #363
Maybe he's figured it out. And he sees the light?

I so want to have faith in him that he will see things as what they are and call a spade a spade.

  • #364
Maybe. But with neighbors observant enough to notice that Casey pulled backwards into the Anthony's driveway, and forthright enough to testify about the loaning of the shovel to Casey (when/for how long) I don't think Casey could get away with opening a man hole cover or stuffing a garbage bag don a sewer drain in front of her neighbors in broad daylight.

My other point on this is that a man hole cover would weigh too much for little size 2/4 Casey to manipulate without a lot of effort that would draw attention. Her baby in a bag ould be burden enough for her.

Now I need to throw-up...

God bless poor Caylee.

I need to too. Just thinking through all the different scenarios, possibilites and also remembering Casey's arrogant, righteous and nasty phone calls and all of the lies, lies , lies!!!!
:puke:

There is going to be a huge problem with Tony when he is called to testify......the defense is going to tear him apart over him resigning from the police department. If it was due to a negative action.....and with how people don't trust police officers to begin with, well......this is a huge problem

Tony wasn't a cop. It was Jesse that was the cop. Right???

I think a grand jury is a must in this case! My understanding is that if this does go to the grand jury, there would be an announcement that this case is to go before the grand jury.
I did a little research on the system a few days ago when a grand jury in Tampa handed down an indictment on Junior Gotti.

This is from the handbook given to grand jury members in Florida.
SECRECY OF GRAND JURY PROCEEDINGS

Secrecy as to all grand jury proceedings is of the utmost importance. This includes not only the actions upon an indictment or a presentment but even the fact that any such matter was considered, or any witness was called. It is only in this manner that the grand jurors themselves can be protected from pressure by persons who may be involved by the action of the grand jury. Secrecy also is the only protection that a witness may have before a grand jury, which will protect the witness from being tampered with or intimidated before testifying at the trial. Further, secrecy may prevent one under indictment, or subject to indictment, from escaping while the issue of indictment is under consideration. It also should be remembered that secrecy may encourage witnesses to give the grand jury frankly and candidly any knowledge they may have concerning crime or corruption. Lastly, and of equal importance to all other consideration of secrecy, is the fact that an innocent person who has been subjected to a charge but not indicted should be protected from the embarrassment and disgrace attendant upon the making of a charge before a grand jury.

The pledge of secrecy is paramount. It also is permanent.

A grand juror will not communicate to family, friends, associates, or anyone concerning any matter that takes place in the grand jury room. The only time this veil of secrecy may be lifted is by order of the court after a full hearing, and then only in exceptional cases.

I don't think we'll know anything about it until an indictment is issued.

That was Jesse.

Tony was the club promoter at Fusian until ... just recently, apparently.

So you think they believe she is dead and are just trying to hinder the investigation? Seems very difficult to believe given the energy and resources they are putting toward finding her.

I think they are desperately trying to explain away evidence that will give them no choice but to accept that their granddaughter is dead and at the hands of a woman they raised. They are making themselves sound like fools but as I said earlier many people on this board have questions and many cling to the hope Caylee is alive. They have had the same amount of time to process this, people who have buried their children have been in denial longer than this. JMO

Knowing that Caylee spent the night on the 15th with the GP's causes me concern. I'm not going to lie about it. Casey spending the night with Tony on the 15th raises my concern, as well. It now poses the problem as to when Casey actually took possession of Caylee. Someone other than Casey is lying about what happened on the 15th and 16th.

Its either Casey, Cindy, George or Clint. Who had the dates messed up?

The Hippo woke up and invited over its friends.

OME

Yes, Jesse's the one who thought he was Caylee's daddy from the time she was born until she was about one. (His dad has the "sword of God" myspace page.)

In my opinion, "losing" (and by this I mean thinking a child is yours, but then finding out she is not) a child you love could be almost as devastating emotionally/mentally as physically losing them.

Was it ever reported if LE took that shovel from the neighbors for testing???

Yes, the day LE searched the Anthony's backyard, they took the neighbor's shovel into evidence. On the Orlando Sentinel website, there's a picture of an officer carrying a large brown paper bag and the caption is that it's the borrowed shovel.

maybe she drove down the street or to a street that was a few blocks away
that had less neighbors :waitasec:

I'm more apt to believe that she borrowed the shovel with the intent to dig an adequate sized burial hole in her parents back yard (or somewhere), but when the dense little demento realized either:

1) Digging a hole is a lot of hard work - particularly in a lot of central Florida soils.

2) There is always a noticeable mound of dirt when you bury something, unless you can find a place to put the displaced dirt (replace by the object/body) that no one would notice.

She gave up with they burial idea, put Casey back in her car trunk and PROBABLY easily tossed her into any public dumpster sometime later.

Since weeks went by before Cindy hunted Casey down for answers about Caylee, Caylee's body could be in a landfill under tons of garbage wrapped in an inconspicuous garbage bag.

Talk about a needle in a haystack...

For Caylee's corpse to have rendered Casey's car unusable with suspicious stench, she would have to have been in the hot car for no more than a day or two within her time of death. By all accounts, that's how quickly in hot air decomposition occurs, and the odor can not be removed.

I think Casey abandoned her car with her purse inside in front of a check cashing store to attract a car thief, and avoid any of her friends or family catching whiff of it's interior while she was driving it. She knew by the time the car was abandoned that she would need a plan. It was one of the first steps in developing a kidnapping plan.

I agree with this post, especially this sentence: they are desperately trying to explain away evidence that will give them no choice but to accept that their granddaughter is dead and at the hands of a woman they raised.

There but for the Grace of God go I.
