The court estimates how long a trial will take and then they have to find a block of time that fits it. This doesn't seem like it's gonna be a quick trial.

Look at Casey and her demeanor. She is not normal acting. I do not want her to get off on an insanity defense but I so do not think she is right mentally. She has virtually no expression. She has expressed no sadness or fear for her daughter. Even if God forbid, I ever killed my child I still think I would grieve over his/her death. She shows nothing. I really just think she had broken with reality whether before or after Caylee's death.

By accepting the limited immunity deal she would be admitting that she has been lying all along. She and her attorney would rather take the chance that it can not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that she did not give the child to Zanny. I think they are taking a big chance.

I agree. They are teaking a huge chance. I have no doubt there's a lot more evidence out there that we do not know about. I hope it is televised. Just think of all the people that the prosecution can call - HR from the places Casey claimed to work, her friends, the guard who let her into Universal, her boyfriend who said that she and Caylee slept in the same bed with him (that scares me), The videos of her cashing Amy's checks - adn that's just what we know.

Kim Peterson was a class act all the way. This guy? *shudder* I saw him the first night he showed up and was laughing to myself thinking that no one is offering to speak for them and they are desperate. It shows in this choice. Although, she should take advantage of HAVING a spokesperson and let him do his job.....however badly. OR she should just let him go but that won't happen because she has at least someone publicly believing her "truths"

Quite frankly, I don't think they CAN get anyone reputable. Susan Levy had Kim Peterson but never let her speak. This was probably the only person who would spout the family line in the case.

BTW Kim is excellent at what she does.

Thats what I have always thought, that Zanny the Nanny was actually Casey giving Caylee Xanax and then leaving her in the car, or wherever to sleep....I really think thats what happened to Caylee, Casey gave her xanax, left her in the car (trunk?) and probably started partying and forgot about Caylee, until it was too late and Caylee had already passed away, then Casey went into psychotic overload.....

I have to wonder if the police do not have some videotape of Caylee being in the car alone. Or people who saw her.

Baez was not stupid... He could not accept the immunity without his client's permission. If Casey said no, then no it is. He probably never responded to the State because he was hoping Casey would accept the deal. Remember it was Baez that asked for immunity in the first place. The attorney cannot MAKE their client do something they do not want to do. This all rests on Casey.

I think Baez is also going for accidental death which is really odd, since she hasn't been charged with anything yet.

this never occured to me. but there was a case long ago where a group of people gave their kids 'bingo drugs' that knocked them out for well over 24 hours and they could just take off and go get drunk. one of the kids died. wish i could remember what kind of drugs they were.

I have known doctors and nurses who sedate their children with Bendadryl so they will sleep through car trips. Sad but true.

I agree that it is nasty and juice wouldn't cover it up. But I do think other things could. When I was a kid I had to take horrible, bitter medication for my asthma. My mom would put it in applesauce but the taste still came through. So she started putting it into pudding or milkshakes. Sometimes she'd even put it into my PB&J. I think it could be done with a little trial and error.

Not to date myself, but my mon used to crush aspirin in a teaspoon with Coca Cola. The bitterness came through, but the Coke made it tolerable (That was before baby aspirin and before Tylenol. Xanax is a small tablet too. I remember a huge sugar coated pill I had to take and that was given to me between bread. It was so awful that I threw up on the first bite. But anything is posssible.

Just wanted to throw this out there: I can't take Xanax because it causes me to have severe blackouts. I was prescribed Xanax once before my wedding and I had no memory whatsoever of helping my mom & sister-in-law address over 100 invitations. They were stunned when I asked when we were going to get it done, since we had spent an entire day on it. And this happened with me taking the prescribed amount--one small pill.

Memory loss is a commom side effect of Xanax--it does not even have to be mixed with alcohol to happen.

If Caylee were given even a small amt. of Xanax, it would be easy for her to die of an overdose.

I have a 3 year old daughter, and there's NO WAY she would just go to sleep in a strange bed with a loud, drunken party going on. Especially if Mommy weren't right there with her. She would be terrified. I strongly suspect drugging of Caylee.

Xanax is not a giood thing to take. My doc had me on it when my kids were driving me out of my mind. All it did was make me depressed. A counselor finally told me to tell the doc that I needed anti-depressants. They did the trick. I flushed the Xanas down the toilet. I would never recommend it to anyone - it's highly addictive, too.

After seeing the Today show this am and seeing Cindy and the family Spokesperson I wanted to throw something through the tv.

First of all I could not believe anyone would pay this man to be a spokesperson for anything or anybody. He really made pointers with LE by saying he did not think they would make sure the family was safe.

Cindy kept talking about finding Caylee and I do not think I have seen or heard anything about George or Cindy or even Casey spending ANY time searching for this precious baby girl.

I have not posted recently because I ususally read what I would have posted anyway, but I am TOTALLY frustrated with seeing this family sit back and expect everyone to do everything to find Caylee, except for them.

Thank you for letting me rant and rave and I feel better. JMHO

I've been meaning to post this for several days. In Amy's statement to LE, she reports occasions when Casey would ask her to do certains things, and then a day or two later when she would get back to Casey about them, Amy says that Casey had no memory of ever asking her to do them in the first place.
That being said, it is possible that Casey did more than just weed.

Given her behavior and partying and her manipulative behavior, I would bet the family farm she did more than just weed.

I think something was mentioned on the show where they interview Jesse's dad. But for the life of me, I can't remember where that interview took place. Something was mentioned about Casey having over 300 pics of Caylee on her account, but she deleted over 200 of them. Surely someone can fill in on what show that appeared

One of the experts said he was sure these pictures will be brought up when this goes to trial. Still love to know if this was 'before' she went missing.

I can not delete or throw way ANY picture of ANYONE i care about-- so this is so telling, IMO..

I just wanted to say something about the Xanax, Im prescibed this med and trust me, its very possible it could be given to a child. I shudder just to think of that but it is a very small pill and you dont need to swallow it. My Dr even told me if my anxiety is bad the quickest way to get the pill working is to put it under your tongue, or on your tongue. Ive done this a few times and it just dissolves completely. Even if you just have it in your mouth briefly, it dissolves, without water, so I can see how Casey could just pop it in Caylees mouth and whether she gave her a drink or not, it would be gone momentarily, into her system. The taste isnt THAT bad, its I guess what you would expect a pill to taste like, but nothing like aspririn where its so bitter you cant stand it.

My son is almost 2 and I know every child is different, but if you even walk into the room when hes sleeping and make just a tiny sound, he wakes up and stays up or will sit up for while and then fall back asleep. Theres no way in a million years he'd sleep thru 2 people talking let alone a whole party so that really baffles me.

You are welcome. I save all my photos too - had a computer stolen and was extremely upset to have lost the early pics of my grandkids. Those moments cannot be reclaimed.

constitutional right to an attorney no matter where she is (jail or home). they cannot ask her any questions about the case without the prescence of her attorney if she invokes that right.
