2008.10.22 Nancy Grace

When were the gas cans taken??? Because she broke into the shed - so took the chemicals at the same time as the gas cans

GA reported they were taken between 6/22-6/24...

However.....In Tony's interview he says he took her to the house, waited in the car while she got the gas cans one time......this *might* have been on 6-20........I sure hope LE found out from Tony where the car was (out of gas), and what it smelled like. ( & maybe got the exact date out of hm).

Chloroform is a by product of Chlorination. Its a fact they had a pool which was treated with chlorine. The fact that KC had a trace amount of Chloroform or Chlorine by-product in the trunk shouldnt be that big of a shock (no pun intended). The thought she had to use chloroform to knock little K out to visit TL is really not practical since CA would have taken little K anytime. Need to do a little more research on human urine interacting with chlorine which would be more likely if little K drowned in the pool and was placed in the trunk still in the wet diaper etc.
You are forgetting the reported fight between Casey and Cindy. I think Casey would have done anything rather than leave Caylee with her mother.

Human urine reacting with pool chlorine does NOT produce chloroform. If it did, public pools would be littered with dead bodies. The amount of chlorine in a swimming pool is less than that in a bottle ob bleach. Think about it. How many kids do you know that pee in a pool - most of them is my guess. Pools must be full od chloroformed children in them based on that theory. Doesn't float.

I have no idea.
According to the response from the people on NG's panel, this is very unusual to have such items for purchase in a jail.
I hope at Casey's next home, she will not have access to any such luxuries!

IIRC they were saying before that during her 1 hour of rec time is when she would be allowed to go to the comessary. I don't know for a fact but I think it's like a small store for them to "shop..at least that is what it sounded like.

I'm not questioning the dogs at all - I'm talking about people

If a you put a dead person in a trunk & stand outside that trunk how long do you think it would take before you started to smell "A dead Body"

I say more than a few hours - I'm only guessing but I'd say a few days

Gotcha, in Florida heat and it being even hotter in the trunk, some estimates put the trunk at 130 degrees during the hottest point in the day, a day or two to smell it inside the car, a week or so smell it outside of the car. I have a hard time thinking the body was in there until the 27th though, unless this "undetermined stain" is the size of the trunk. The body liquifying would leave tons of forensics. The text messages and comments about the car smelling sure lead me to think she dumped the car and body on the 27th.

I think Casey is jealous of the attention that Cindy is ge tting

You KNOW she is..........here she is sitting a jail cell for the rest of her life and her mother who she tried to destroy by taking Caylee away is having the time of her life, traveling to NYC and going on TV when these people never even too her on vacation but once to South Carolina.

All the things she dreamed about for herself is being lived out by her mother.

This girl will turn and it is not going to be pretty when she does. I still believe my "BUT GEORGE DEFENSE" would get her off.

I think GA suspected something way before it came to light. He was a cop, they are naturally suspicious. He also seems to be so meticulous with the yard and garage that he would notice anything moved, taken or disturbed in any way. It seems LP and TM seem to know more than what they are saying on TV, LP can hardly contain himself.

I agree I would like to read the transcripts from LE when they went to CA to interview him...I think that is why he is coming back to help TES search! JMO

Any idea how much these items cost though? I've heard they can be very expensive like a huge mark up from what would normally be retail. Is that true?
Not really. About what you would pay at Target for them. Commissarys are not in the "for profit business."

My brother has been in jail. You can purchase items there. You have to purchase there. They charge like $5.00 for a bar of soap. He said the store is brought to you. You fill out paperwork, pay, then they drop it off for you. That is the way it is in our state.

If there were ONLY searches of chloroform or if there was ONLY chloroform in the trunk, we wouldn't be having this conversation, but the fact that both of these are in evidence shows premeditation, no doubt about it.

Just to keep this on topic, one of the defense attorneys on the show tonight said as much as well.
I agree it could definitely show premeditation. I would love to know WHEN these searches took place on the internet.

I have often thought that GA could have used Chloroform to try to clean the decomp smell. He is the one who mentioned on camera that "cleaning fluid" was in her trunk and was part of the odor.

OMG, Cindy, YOU had a motion to get discovery? KC's ATTORNEY who owes you NOTHING had a motion. KC's atty's loyalty is to his client; he can't share ANYTHING with Cindy without KC's consent and I don't think KC will consent to it.

Cindy is delusional for sure. Even if she and George were paying Baez, he still couldn't give anything to them without his client's approval. That is FACT, Cindy. Check up on it.

I have the feeling Casey has given consent. Seems to me Casey pretty much does what mommy says when mommy puts her foot down.

Besides, I realize many people do not believe Cindy is paying for the defense but as far as I'm concered that information has not come from any reliable source. Who have we heard that from, Cindy, Lee, Jose?!.. sorry but I just don't trust any of them at their "word", Jose included! Look how he lies outright about his experience etc. on his website!

KC may have taken Caylee with her the night of the 15th and just driven around/slept in her car because she couldn't go to TonE's with her daughter and just spent a day or so in her car. Then she may have snuck in the house while her folks were at work and googled ways to keep her daughter 'quiet' because she knew she couldn't move into TL's with her 'tot'.

Okay so what if there is a soiled spot in the trunk and the first thing a person did was clean up with bleach?

If you are in the "car detail" business you would always have some acetone around because that is what a majority of detail shops use to get spots off your upholstry, paint and chrome. So what if this scenario is what happened. First some bleach cleaner was used then followed by some acetone based solvent? Ultimately wouldnt the dried residue contain similar components to chloroform? Remember the reports said "trace" amounts.

No, CW, but you are more than welcome to google it or look it up yourself. :)

Really, I can? I'm asking because there seems to be a lot of debate about the amount of Chloroform found. You stated as a fact that the air was saturated, I figured you had a source for that information. :waitasec:

I actually thought along the same lines as you in the beginning, thinking it could have been possible that the chloroform actually came from chlorine saturated pool water, and possible body fluids, such as urine combined...but then I couldn't explain why KC looked up chloroform, more specifically "How to make chloroform". The computer searches lead me to believe the chloroform in the trunk was not a mix of pool water and urine, or this is one heck of a quinkadink.
