2008.11.13 - 11.14 LP J Blanchard Park Search #2

There is a big difference between:

a. finding a bag, quietly calling LE to the scene before doing anything else, and telling the media if they absolutely have to that they have no comment until LE has an opportunity to arrive and give instructions, you don't want to do any harm unintentionally...

b. finding the bag, telling media that there were toes and fingers, that there were bricks, that there were shamrocks, and on and on

yes, the media was there, but they only would have been able to report that divers removed something and LE was contacted, it didn't have to go down like it did

Until all those LEOs showed up at the same time, then there would have been the same riot/circus as was already in motion when they arrived. One way or another it was going to happen.

You could not look 2 feet in any direction with out seeing a camera. They were watching every move the divers made. They were doing what they get paid for.

I wonder how it is that when TES does a search there are not cameras everywhere. :waitasec:

The media was not all over, they were not underwater where the bag was found. They had no way of knowing what was found unless someone told them. Why would someone tell them?

It was drug out onto the side of the bank of the river laid out for all to see. The media and everyone else didn't cover their eyes when it was brought out. The cameras have zoom lenses, they could make out everything laying out there.

O/T but we are about an hour away from bombshells on NG! I didnt see a thread created for the show yet.. :)

I'm just getting home from work, anymore news on the unmarked patrol cars at the A's??

I don't care if Leonard dances on cnn in a pink tutu while the search is going on as long as he is doing something.

So the media made out bones and a shoe that wasn't there? They made out a shamrock that turned out to be a Gumby?

Does anyone know if Murt is going to have his site on tonight? I would like to tune in if he does to see if he has any commentary on today.

Yes JustJax.. He mentioned he would be back up once he arrives at this hotel... So hopefully that is soon!

Out of lurking to post! Been reading here since a little before this case. Hi to all.

IIRC, when Murt was at the latest TES command center there *were* media and cameras everywhere, it's just that the search wasn't right across the street from them. Let's be fair about this, TES had some intense media coverage, as well, and their finds were also reported on.

TM talks to WFTV about what he thinks:

http://www.wftv.com/news/17972452/detail.html

*snip*
"Tim Miller, the founder of EquuSearch, a group that organized a massive weekend search for Caylee's remains, was very critical of Padilla.

"What a disgrace to society this man is for doing this kind of stuff," Miller said.

Miller said during the weekend search, Padilla had begged Miller to use his own divers to search the river. Miller recounted the conversation, saying Padilla said to him, "Tim Miller's divers out here, news cameras out here ... think how much money we could make, Tim."

Amazing, isn't it? :furious:

All we can do is HOPE LE has very good reason to know Caylee's body can never be found.

For all we know, they can have a secret witness who has SEEN Casey do something that makes it impossible to find any trace of Caylee.

That's my theory too. I think there is a witness OR there is someone that Casey blabbed to. I just don't see her telling NO ONE. And I think they know either that she can't be found or that she's not where they are looking.

You wanted to know how the media knew what was there, the media wasn't underwater, I was letting you know the bag was pulled up onto the bank. People were free to make any assumption they wanted to of what they were seeing with their own eyes and cameras.

Exactly!! We know that there are a few WS that dislike LP and NG and like to take every opportunity to bash them.

Oh, my. I hope you aren't suggesting that anyone on this website would plant false evidence for Leonard to find? That would be the action of a mentally unstable person, not merely someone who dislikes LP.

Yesterday everyone seemed to believe that Cindy was upset because she knew Caylee was in the water at Blanchard Park. :waitasec:

Well, not everyone. Most, I think "most" would be fair.

Well, NG is usually not there on Fridays so maybe that's why the As agreed to do her show. I can't imagine why else they would want to do the show. NG is not exactly Casey friendly.

Nancy has actually been very kind to Cindy. She handles Cindy very gently.........it's completely out of Nancy's character!

Months ago, when the Media questioned LP , he was vigorously defended here at WS

When some WS Posters questioned LP they were ganged up on & thrown to the wolves

Then Tim Miller dared to say something negative about LP & Tim "The Living Saint" Miller was thrown right into the trash heep ...

Now, LE is voicing their displeasure with LP & his actions

I can already see it coming....

LE & the FBI will be Trashed right along with the rest of the LP doubters...

Yes, it has started. #1. Some are mad at LE for not controlling the situation. Apparently, LE allowed Leonard to let the situation deteriorate, then came in to fuss at him. #2. LE has dismissed the evidence. HMMMMMM.......we'd better start questioning why LE can know fluff from evidence, when all the laypeople around can clearly see the plastic bones!

What would they be taking out of the house today. They have not taken anything from the house in.... months. Strange. Baffled. Well it's smaller than a breadbox,

Cindy accused LP and the female BH of stealing items from the house. My take is that the Anthony's turned over items matching the ones they claim are stolen.

In no defense of the A's whatsoever, but just recently, maybe the same WS you are speaking of, had a credible theory and according to the WS, LE just about laughed at her...anything is possible.

Yep, that's what I'm talking about. The more I think about it, the more I can see someone calling LE and saying they'd spotted a Caylee lookalike, being just about laughed at, and calling the Anthony family so that SOMEONE with connections to the case knows about the sighting.

The media was all over. You cannot blame Leonard and crew for the way it was reported. But I will say for LE to say they were not notified before media is just stupid. They knew it was going on and should have had a car there.

I can certainly blame Leonard for divulging the contents of the bag to media. Do you think if he pulled a bag of plastic toys out of the water, every media truck in a hundred mile radius would have put the pedal to the metal trying to get there? No, they wouldn't. But "IF" the searcher were to say, we think we found human bones! Well, that might stir up a circus the likes of which we saw today.

LE didn't need a car there to be notified of the contents of the bags before the media knew. All they needed for that was a professional search team, led by a professional.

For all we know, they can have a secret witness who has SEEN Casey do something that makes it impossible to find any trace of Caylee.

LE has hauled in all of KC's acquaintances (neighbors, ex co-workers, etc), best friends, ex boyfriends (and their family members), immediate family members. They have conducted interviews with each of them (sometimes twice). They have gone to Universal and JBP with KC They have gone through her computer hard drive. All of this so that they can come up with real answers leading them to Caylee. Yet, they have never, ever searched for Caylee. Correct me if I'm wrong. I don't recall them searching the landfills (alot of WSers have alluded to Caylee being dumped in a landfill). They are not incompetent. They know that Caylee cannot be found. I'm beginning to ask myself if KC has gotten rid of Caylee ala Fargo. Maybe this is why her cellphone was off for three hours. She probably burnt the body while it was still in a bag (why else was she stealing her GA's gas cans?). Why is KC so sure that Caylee's body cannot be found? Even if it were in a landfill, it's retrievable (difficult but possible).

Well, I'm in very good company in my assesment of Leonard. I couldn't be in BETTER company.

Leonard may even be dirtier and stinkier than I thought. I'm glad I haven't gone out on a limb defending him.

A gumby toy!!!!!

I'm sorry, I know this isn't funny but I can't help but laugh.

Not only is it funny that it wasn't a necklace matching Casey's, it wasn't even a necklace at all. It wasn't even a shamrock. It was a fricking Gumby. What a total waste of time this has been.

Do you think she will cover it? If she ignores the case again today we will know she is upset over something.
