Whew!

Dontcha hate when people ask you to take a polygraph & they DON'T know why? lol

Sorry.... that statement was such a NON-STATEMENT, it made me laugh.

I know, right? Your post cracked me up :)

Miller said during the weekend search, Padilla had begged Miller to use his own divers to search the river. Miller recounted the conversation, saying Padilla said to him, "Tim Miller's divers out here, news cameras out here ... think how much money we could make, Tim."

Oh, but its OK for TM to go on NG and WHINE about not having money and how expensive the searches are, etc. etc. Hmpffffff, at least LP is direct and to the point

I can say that when I saw LP and TM on NG and LP said I have the utmost confidence that TM is going to find Caylee, I donated again to TES during the show.

There is a huge difference in trying to raise money to operate a non-profit organization and in trying to make money to put in one's own pocket.

And again, in fairness, this quote says nothing about anyone's motives. Money for more searches? Money for better equipment? That statement (if it was made at all - was anyone else witness to it other than Tim Miller?) could be taken any number of ways - nobody really knows.

Why would you do this? It would be interference with the investigation at this point.

If I truely believed my child was innocent, I would take any and all beads to LE to have them examined and crossed off the list. If I had doubts about the innocence of my child, I would take any and all bead to LE to have them examined. If my child was not innocent, I would want to know and there is no way I would cover for him/her.

I don't believe the A's are actively interfering in this case. Yes, I know, we don't all agree about the A's actions, but still ..

Salem

Exactly, it all comes down to what each of us believe. I'm inclined to believe that the Anthonys had nothing to do with the dissapearance and disposal of Caylee, but I DO believe that they know much much more than we think they do...and do not want to lose their daughter. What lengths would you go to to save your child? Really examine that for a moment.
Even with my law enforcement backround, I know that I would (to coin miss A herself!) "beg, borrow and steal" for my child. It would be almost unfathomable to put my kid into handcuffs knowing they might well end up on death row.

If G &C feel that they're actions (the big argument) caused Casey to lose her temper and resulted in the accident that killed Caylee, they're carrying a 20-gallon drum of guilt and feel they might repreave themselves if they save their daughter.

This is just my theory....take it or leave it. To each their own!

I don't think that anyone can deny that a lot of the donations that TES has received for this last search were the direct result of LP's "promotions" for TES. On NG and through other media.

Something has obviously happened to set these two against each other and, under the circumstances, it really is a shame.

No doubt, we'll be finding out more...

Yes, but do we know for a fact that LP wanted to line his own pockets and wasn't talking about raising money for Caylee searching????

I know this is Tim's 'perception' of events but frankly, a lot of Tim's messages sound like he was overly concerned with placating the Anthonys so they'd back off & allow him to search for Caylee.

Amen sister.. I work from home and have DONE NO WORK today. I have cried all morning.. couldnt eat and now I am crabby with the hubby and kids.. I swear, I dont know how much more I can take.. for that matter, anymore we all can take! this is just an emotional roller coaster!

I know what you mean....I was working from my office, but following along here. Except I ate much more than I should have...."comfort eating"!

But I've been snippy with Mr. Homer since I got home...poor guy, it's not his fault. I blame you, Casey!!! :behindbar:

I've been praying that Caylee will be found...maybe I should start praying to accept that she might not. Either way, I have faith in the justice system that the person(s) responsible for the disappearance/death of this beautiful baby girl, Caylee Marie, (NOT "that child") will spend the rest of their life locked up until a natural death or death by the order of the state.

Perhaps LP was talking about money in terms of donations-not cash to stuff in your pocket. I dunno, I'm beginning to think anything and anyone that comes in contact with the A's somehow does so to their detriment!

LP comment to Tim could of very well meant how much money we could raise for the search. I am not sure I even trust thats what LP said, Tim has flipped on so many other things I do not have alot of faith in him at this moment. Tons of donations went to TES because of LP being so outspoken on this case, and in interviews LP talking about how wonderful Tim is and that TES would find the body brought tons of attention and donations to TES. Very sad that Tim now feels its ok to bash LP, talk about egos and losing focus on whats important.

There is a huge difference in trying to raise money to operate a non-profit organization and in trying to make money to put in one's own pocket.

It sounded pretty serious in the sheriff dept. press conference. The FBI wants LP to take a polygraph and "they know why".

Well, one thought is if the "bags" appear to have been planted, LE might want to make sure LP didn't do that himself.

See, if those bags and the items in them have been in the water for any length of time, there will be evidence of that. If they have just been recently chucked in, then LE might be suspicious that they were planted.

I'm guessing, of course, and NOT saying who did or did not plant anything...just speculating.

IIRC when Tim went before the camera's to say he was pulling out, he went on to say how much it had cost so money was a problem for him.And the last time he was here LE donated $5000 to get him to stay, he was talking of leaving then as well. This time it didn't work.

I am NOT insinuating any wrongdoing....

but really none of us know what any of them (LP, TM, anyone) does with the money. How do you know LP's is for his pocket? How do you know TM's is not?

LP didn't have a chance, news was reporting it locally almost immediately as it was happening. Yes, one patrol officer could have been there, just in case, crowd control whatever, they spent enough time at the A's house, one officer wouldn't have made that much difference. The media was not fed anything, they were there, nothing was roped off, they had free access, just like anyone else in a park. They have zoom lenses on the cameras, they could see everything, they did not have to be fed any information.

Exactly, there was no time for LP to be in 5 different places to know what 5 different camera crews were saying they "might" have seen. A trash bag weighted down with bricks and some toys were brought up by the divers. How anyone can think LP has control of what several different camera crews choose to speculate on, I don't know.

Oh, my. I hope you aren't suggesting that anyone on this website would plant false evidence for Leonard to find? That would be the action of a mentally unstable person, not merely someone who dislikes LP.

I didn't know how to reply when there were this many responses so I copied and pasted it
.
I'm not saying anyone would plant evidence!! Especially LP! I said bashing not planting evidence. Hopes this clears my comment up.

Hit the
bottom right.:)

About burning the body: a crematory reaches as much as up to 2000 F degrees to cremate an average size adult body in several hours, and then there are STILL bones intact that have to be crushed. I find it very unlikely that Casey burned the child's body beyond hope of anything being left to find. It might be unidentifable from heat destroying any DNA, but it would take a LOT of fuel to burn even a child's body and leave nothing to be found at all. It might be harder to find, but there would be risk of someone noticing a burn nearby for hours, maybe calling the fire dept. if it was in the woods...the odor of fuel and smoke is also strong if you've ever been around a fire...those kinds of things someone might notice...?

Well, here is some info which may or may not help:

http://www.cremation.org/faq.html

I don't think she'd try to burn the body for one simple reason.... THE SMELL.

Just dump the body near water & let the gators do the hard work OR pick a dumpster.

That's Casey's style.... fast & easy & off to hang out with her friends. The past is the past.... time to PAR-TAY!!!!!

Something must have happened the past weekend between these groups and LE. They all seem to be going in different directions.

Bolded by me.

This is exactly what I feel is going on here. Toes have been stepped on and regardless of what happened and to whom it happened, the focus has definitely shifted from Caylee to these kinds of things.

I almost feel like LE completely disregarded today's find because of the way it all went down - the issues with not being notified before the media found out. And if that's the case, that's incredibly dangerous and just downright disgusting and I seriously hope nothing like that is happening here.

Thanks for posting that. Sometimes I think back to June and try to remember what I was doing then and I can barely remember. That's how long Caylee's been gone. KC had time on her side but it still baffles me as to where she put that body if they have searched everywhere her phone pinged. I refuse to believe that KC is that intelligent. I'm starting to understand that Orlando is very vast but I really believe in my heart that Caylee is somewhere in JBP.

Well, I'm in very good company in my assesment of Leonard. I couldn't be in BETTER company.

Leonard may even be dirtier and stinkier than I thought. I'm glad I haven't gone out on a limb defending him.

Not only is it funny that it wasn't a necklace matching Casey's, it wasn't even a necklace at all. It wasn't even a shamrock. It was a fricking Gumby. What a total waste of time this has been.

Hello, neighbor! I am from Louisiana also!

I cannot agree with you more! I have never defended Padilla and I never will. Now I do respect and admire TES and Tim Miller. If Tim says Leonard Padilla said this, then I believe him.

I am on record from the beginning saying that Padilla never should have bonded Casey out. My opinion has stayed the same.

I don't care if Leonard dances on cnn in a pink tutu while the search is going on as long as he is doing something.

So are you saying that LP can do never do anything wrong?
