2008.11.13 - 11.14 LP J Blanchard Park Search #2

  • #441
The MEDIA WAS ALL OVER. WFTV was parked RIGHT next to the van where LP, Tracy (FGH) and I were sitting.

ITA. If anyone is at fault, its the media 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, not LE, not LP. They will film anything for the "scoop" and they don't care who gets hurt in the process.

Wasn't the media presence pretty low-key the first few days of LP's BP search? if yes, then what triggered the media to come out in abundance before the search even started, yesterday?

I'm thinking the fact that 30 to 40 divers were there, where in the beginning search, there were only 2.

The white shamrock?

That picture!!! Wow - do you remember the ziploc on NG last night - wasn't there some orange/peach 'stuff' not sure if this rope or not - but for sure there was a plastic ring like the one in the photo!!

anyone able to pull pics from that video and blow it up or whatever so we can see details of that ziploc? Or maybe I'm off my rocker - if so just tell me and I will go back to bed.

Anyone at JB park today or who may have means of contact with LP... I'm curious as to whether the river contains areas where strainers are present. If so, has or will the strainers be searched and/or removed and taken apart to search for any remains.

In moving water such as the river usually smaller bones, such as finger and toes, will frequently wash away to the strainers while long bones, femur, etc., will only move a short distance.

Furthermore, IF smaller bones were found yesterday, that might indicate the longer bones would be located farther upriver unless the entire body was placed in a sealed bag or container.

TIA

The media was not all over, they were not underwater where the bag was found. They had no way of knowing what was found unless someone told them. Why would someone tell them?

Maybe not, but Murt's camera was there, filming everything. LP was a pretty good distance from where the divers brought up the bag. Onlookers were all standing around.... with cell phones. Some of the reporters had the cameras (with zoom lens) rolling as soon as the bag was brought up.
It's just as likely that one of the lookers alerted the media. LP found out AFTER much of the public did.
I don't care what the majority thinks... LP DID NOT CALL THE MEDIA FIRST!
This is why TES always says NO CAMERAS, no pictures during the search.
BUT... no one had any control over the lookers who DID have cameras and cell phones right there at the river's edge.
Murt was right there with his live streaming video reporting everything as it happened.... he very well could have been the first one to say it was bones. In fact, I got an email alert from a news blog that it was fingers and toes, BEFORE I caught any report on t.v.

Bolded by me.

Murt came back into his truck, sighed, and said he didn't want to jump to conclusions and would come back with an update later. He moved the camera away from the commotion for awhile (out of respect, I'm sure). Since he didn't say anything people went to the local media websites and that's where I saw mention of the "bones." I distinctly remember reading about the bones from the media, before Murt made any mention of it. I'm not trying to defend anyone here, but just wanted to add how I remember the order of things taking place.

Maybe they thought there would be more interest in the story with the bigger team of divers there?

I don't post alot but I have to agree with you 100%! I want this baby found and I don't care how she is found, as long as she is. I applaud LP for trying to find her. Everyone has their own idea's where Caylee is, so in my opinion let everyone check out what they think....so all bases are covered. SNIP

I have to agree 100 %. If everyone goes home, what will happen? Most likely No one will ever find her, KC Princess of Bars :behindbar will laugh up her sleeve and CA's whining about Caylee being alive may bode well with even one juror. That's ALL they need !! And you know it's really not that hard to find a sympathetic ear.
I am going to reserve judgement on TM and LP at this point. But from my own observations, there has been a rift which led to TM's leaving Orlando, EACH TIME HE COMES !! True?? Is there anyone here that thought he'd be there for the weekend, (2 days) and pull out? After supposedly planning this for almost 2 mos.? Same thing last ime etc etc.
The dump was mentioned way back in July and August. It was also said they they knew which places each Co. can dump etc. It was painstaking for LE to find Lori Hacking, but they did. Had they pursued that option early on, they might have been able to find her, if that is indeed where she is.
LP is used to low lifes and the way they can send you in circles !! Granted he's a bit out of his element looking for a dead child. But that doesn't preclude him or any one from finding her. He may be right when he says she constantly mentioned JBP. She also said she was close.

IMO the A yard where the patio or blocks or wahtever was put in maybe should be dug up. !! Even underneath the swimming pool. You know the ground is sometimes soft where the pool sits and if you can dig a short way underneath it, that could be close by as she stated.

One thing I know for sure is it seems the best way to protect yourself is to stay away from this family. KC has a way of dragging everyone down with here. If you have ever crossed her path unknowingly, you could have been dragged in, she is SO TOXIC !!
In spite of all of this, Caylee is the Victim !! She has been at the short end of the stick all along, and at the very least now desreves a proper burial.
I don't want this going to court and JB and KC smugly looking into the cameras as if to say, "We told you so. "

Fox now saying "animal bone fragments"...

When FBI and Orange County SheriffÂ’s Deputies arrived to the scene yesterday, they immediately began to analyze the discovery and soon determined the contents of the bag were animal bone fragments and several toys.

According to Captain Angelo Nieves of the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the findings are being considered property found, not evidence.

The statement by LE was to let media know exactly how high an esteem LE holds Leonard. And it's not very high.

Tim Miller is the father of a murdered daughter who has suffered more and done more to help other parents of missing and murdered children than you or I will EVER do. He has NEVER once suggested collecting PROFITS from the public. Never once.

I truly don't think he profits off these searches. But CEO's of non-profits are sometimes under a great deal of pressure, and the need for funding is huge, and can make them more money-focused because of that.

I belong to a site that does free emails on a specific topic. 8 years ago they sold items on the site to pay for the site costs, and occasionally you'd read an email that promoted the purchase of one of the products. But they did not push the products at all. Nowadays it is a multi-million dollar company, that employees 24 people and has a million+ payroll. And now every email I get is for products for sale on the site, or testimonials of people using the products, or emails that mention the products. Mind you, the whole company is based on the idea that we need LESS stuff!

Do I think the CEO is greedy? No, not at all. I DO think she knows that 24 homes depend on her payroll, and that motivates her to be much more aggressive in asking for money, even if it conflicts with her mission statement.

I think the same can happen for someone like TM. He knows families rely on him, and he feels a great deal of pressure for fund raising. Does that make him do things that maybe go against what he would normally do? I think the possibility could exist.

Murt did not stream up close. He stated he would not show any of the find and he did not. He did stream from a distance, showing the people, etc. I saw a lot more on the news clips than I ever saw on Murt's stream yesterday. Most that I saw on Murt's stream was them taping off the area, then lots of people running around and sitting on a bench. Oh, yeah, a long-shot of the diver's and whatever they pulled up. Not a close-up, not from Murt. I don't know about Murt claiming they found bones but so much was going on that I could have missed it. I remember him saying a child's shoe (tho no one is mentioning that now), the shamrock, toys, etc. Hmmm. Wish I could remember what he said. He was in tears tho.

And you're right---LP did not call the media first. Heck, half of them were already there and running around talking on their cells. Most likely phoning additional media and their home newsrooms. People who were there state LP stopped the search and phoned the FBI.

Wondering...who takes precedence in this case, the FBI or OSCO? :waitasec:

Whatever happened to this statement made by CA?

"If I have to go out myself, door to door, and look for this child, until the day I die, I will walk every inch of this earth and open every door and knock on every door everyday and I will look in every nook and cranny," Cynthia said. Fox News Interview, July 20, 2008

Sorry but I laugh at that one!!! IMO, what has any of the A family really done to do this? She sure isn't conducting a search like in SP/LS/NH etc
IMO, she just fights with people

What did Murt just say? Something "directly related to the case?"

  • #459
I missed it also - got some coffee.

Did anyone hear?
