I'd hardly call walking into the woods to dump your child's body, "playing with snakes". Snakes are everywhere, this lot was not a special snake sanctuary, crawling with reptiles. It was just an empty lot like many others. I think the snake thing is a tad bit overblown.

thanks for clarifying. I went back to some old news articles and found that it was the minister that told her it was Caylee. However, I still think it was ODD that she was watching the news on 12/11 unless they were wanting to video her reaction.

I think they should have NOT let her watch the news... they should have told her in her cell or medical treatment area. I just do not want Team Casey having ANY reason to win anything.

All of the televisions are in video-monitored areas. They chose to let her watch (not make her watch) in an area where she would have access to medical attention as needed.

Sounds like they were being particularly thoughtful and humane to me

Once again, the news report says the employee took her to the commons area to watch the news.. then she hyperventilated then requested medical attention.

Apparantly, IF Casey put her there, she has more ambition and courage than some of the LE, going into snake infested land. She couldn't have been thrown there to be in that position. I know, this is just my opinion. But it is more believable than the FBI still hasn't completed their testing and reports from way back in July.

Why would taking KC to the medical office to tape her reaction be any different than wiring an automobile with audio and video to surreptitiously record a conversation with a suspect? :waitasec:

She was moved from point A to point B by a guard while in prison. The guard was given orders to do so by her superiors as part of a sting operation. I believe that is allowed in our jails today. We have inmates spying on inmates all the time, for example. :detective:

The guard did not ask her any questions about her case, so her Miranda rights were not violated. She simply was brought into a room with a TV that was on and tuned to a channel showing the breaking news. Video caught her reaction, as did the guard responsible for her. Medical records were not examined, her Dr. was not interviewed. KC asked the guard for the medication, and the guard followed proper procedure. :cop:

No warrant is needed to record video in a jail - video is everywhere running 24 x 7. :sonar: SOP might be to tape over it after a period of time, but I can bet that SOP is to save the tape if either a crime is committed or someone does something incriminating.

When Baez had his motion heard he was given two weeks to review the tape on his own and to come back and present arguments to the judge on why it should be withheld. Now that far more than a month has transpired, what's the beef? :loser:

KC definitely could and probably did throw her there. After lovingly double-bagging her daughter in two plastic garbage bags she rolled all of that into a laundry bag with reinforced wire rim. This enabled her to firmly grasp the edges of the bag and swing the bag 1 - 2 - 3 - HEAVE over the low-lying plants and into the shallow water standing there at the time.

In the second pic the bags are covered partially by the media logo.

As you can see, it would not take much for an athlete like KC to toss the bag that short distance. I wonder if she said weeee when she did it?

As for the speed of FBI processing...The tests done on evidence back in July are complete and were released in preliminary form in late September and then in more complete form in November. Preliminary results on some of the evidence collected at the site of the remains have also been completed, but much of it has not. OCSO sent over 200 pieces of evidence to the FBI in early January from that site. News reports indicate SA has turned over a bunch of reports on duct tape which have yet to be released to the media through the Sunshine Laws.

The remains had just been found and not verified as Caylee's remains. The TV was reporting that it could possibly be Caylee. She had seen the report from BP and had no reaction. The prison officials could not tell her they were Caylee's remains because they did not know that to be a fact at that time. Bringing her down to watch the TV would have caused KC to have two reactions, one could be "Could this be Caylee?" and the other one would be "How can this be happening to me now?" This tape could have worked out very well for the defense if she had expressed concerns that this might be her child.

If KC had had the same reaction as the BP news report which stated small bones may have been found, she would have been returned to her cell without any medication necessary just as she was the first time.

This was the area KC and her friend had buried their pets so she obviously was not fearful of going into that area and with all the trash bags located in, around and near the body neither was anyone else.

Listen to the audio interview of Sgt. Billy Richardson that was released yesterday. He states that Casey was already aware of the breaking news story prior to her being brought by Uncer to medical. He said they didn't realize she had her personal radio in her cell and was listening to the news on the radio. So I don't think them bringing her to med was a big conspiracy, nor that the tape cannot be introduced into evidence. She already knew they had found the remains of a child not more than 1/2 mile from her house.

What makes you think those pics are of THE bag? There was a log, upright on one end (if I'm remembering correctly) facing to ward the N or NW and she was next to the log. The log is missing in the pic. Also, I am about the same height as Casey, built less petite than her and very strong from many years of working the land, carrying children, etc. How many feet in was she? I don't think I could throw that many pounds that far. What are the odds the bag would land upright? Quite low, I would think.

Have the results from the trunk maggots or the stains come in yet? The most important ones are the ones I am referring to. If they have come back, I must have missed them. Could you tell me the page range? Thanks.

This tape will be very compelling. Just listening to the account of KC's reaction in TU's matter of fact words is damaging to KC. The video would be more so.

JB should be trying every ruse in legal history to keep this out of a courtroom. This is where the KC team earns their money or where they should earn it. It seems to me, the effect of such a video on a jury would be devastating for KC.

I think what is being missed here is that KC had a portable radio in her cell and she no doubt was listening to it. I am sure that she heard the news of a "body of a yoiung child" having been found just a very short distance from her house. At the time the body was found that was the only thing on ANY t.v. or radio station! There was constant coverage of this news for days.....it was not just a short news brief.....it was all day, all stations......big news.....so, I am sure she heard it on her radio before the officer came to take her to medical for observation.......and I am sure that if she was innocent that hearing that a body of a young child being found that close to her home would have put her in a condition where she would have needed medical attention.

Personally, I think it is a detriment to the state that this was handled the way it was. I think the evidence they had thus far was pretty compelling and I don't know the half I'm sure.

I do not think there was a great master plan to release the interview of TU or BR just to get this info out there. The video was probably flagged pending JB's hearing and it was not released.

The person who compiled all these documents together to hand over to the defense, probably did not recognize the names of the people giving the interviews. There were several LE personel who gave interviews on various subjects. There were also civilian interviews. There would be no reason for a clerk in the SA's office to connect the names of TU or BR to the video of KC in jail.

What makes you think those pics are of THE bag?

Based on the number of photos taken and that it is the first piece of evidence photographed (released) at the scene and matches the description given in the written reports. It also matches the location noted on the map that was released. But yes, I cannot be 100% certain it is THE bag because there is no label indicating so. It may be a photo of a random, undocumented black garbage bag next to a white bag.

You are remembering the log correctly but forgetting that, after it was photographed in place it was moved in order to allow recovery of the skull. Pictures of the log in its original location are not included because they would show the skull.

Also, I am about the same height as Casey, built less petite than her and very strong from many years of working the land, carrying children, etc. How many feet in was she? I don't think I could throw that many pounds that far.

Don't sell yourself short. If she walked to the palmetto the toss would only be 8 feet, 10 at the most. It was not an overhead toss or chest-level toss - it was a swinging toss. Little effort required.

What are the odds the bag would land upright? Quite low, I would think.

If she was tossing a weight that was equally-distributed throughout its volume onto a flat, level surface, I would agree that the odds of any one side coming up would be no higher than any other side. Given she was tossing a bag with all of the weight at the bottom into shallow water with a mucky bottom, I am willing to bet 999 out of 1000 times the weight will stay at the bottom and the opening will remain above it.

I'm sorry, I thought you were referring to evidence submitted in July. The evidence you are referring to was submitted later than that. Depending on what was submitted, some of it was sent out as late as October.
