I don't know if this has been discussed yet - I'm still playing catch up on reading this whole thread. But after listening to the officer's interviews, I was surprised that KC had already heard about Caylee's body being found on her radio in her jail cell. I'm a bit confused about why, then, her reaction (hyperventilating, hand rubbing, etc, etc) was not already present when she was removed from her cell, but instead didn't start until she got down to the medical area and heard the exact same news on the TV there.

Any thoughts on this?

She got nearer the meds supply.

ok so the lt uncer audio is no longer available to listen to.. :(

Did anyone happen to keep a copy of LT uncers audio ?

I saw it on the list of doc dumps yesterday, but it's since disappeared

CFNEWS13 removed the links from their website, but you can still download them if you know where they are hidden:

Richardson

Uncer

WFTV has them here as well, but not as easily downloaded.

In Richardson's interview he does state that KC was already showing some signs of emotional distress when they did arrive at her cell to escort her to the medical office area.

What I found most curious is that he also states that KC seemed concerned that no one was telling her what was going on - NOT - anything about Caylee.

Argh! I missed Richardson saying that. Thanks, Tater :blowkiss:

KC never seems concerned about what I expect her to be concerned about lol. But I wonder if nobody telling her what was going on was actually the cause of her reaction, that is, she was 'caught' and I'd imagine wanted to know how people were reacting, what any new consequences would be, etc.

BeanE: Maybe they showed a shot of the actual location on the TV and she knew at that point that it was Caylee???

So wait, the test results from the terpenes wasn't released yet?

I suspect that she already knew it was Caylee. I am sure even the radio reports referenced the proximity to the Anthony family home.

I was very curious about that, too. I noted that while both Richardson and Uncer stated that Casey was reacting physically, it sounded as if Casey did not actually cry until JB arrived.

To me, that seemed to be the 'come to Jesus' moment when KC was not crying because her beautiful little Peanut was indeed dead, but because the penny had dropped and JB gave her the reality check that she was facing harsher consequences with the plethora of new evidence now.

Or she was trying to impress JB with her damsel in distress act so 'big strong you will protect little ol me, won't you Jose?' insert imploring looks and sniffles at appropriate intervals!

She knew there were cameras there and was polishing up on her Oscar-worthy acting skills!

Ok, after listening to Richardson it sounds like they orginially were going to PRECLUDE her from viewing TV. They forgot she had a radio. The Mental Health wanted to see her for an interview. (Maybe to tell her the news?)

Once they got to her cell... they remembered she had the radio and she knew something was going on.

She did see the TV in the medical area. They did ON PURPOSE let her watch the TV until Mental Health said "that's enough".

Overall, the point still remains that she had a physical reaction that was not controllable. Of course, none of us have any doubt why she had that reaction.

I am at this point satisfied that they handled the situation appropriately.

Since, as the above post reads, the point of this discussion is to "make sure all procedures are followed," upon what law, procedure and/or policy do you base your above stated opinion that she should not have been allowed to watch the news?
I sure haven't heard of or read anything that prohibits what happened in the jail - and I've been around this block quite a few times...

Nothing, so long as you can actually point to a law, procedure and/or policy to question. All I'm reading in this thread is a bunch of posts taking issue with the "what ifs" but without bothering to cite or quote these laws, policys and/or procedures.

For the record, from what I've seen of JBaez thus far, he's going to always find "something to chew on," and thus far none of it's been based upon the law, policies or procedures. Heck, he can't even file motions that contain laws, policies and/or stated, written procedures.

Right?! And if I remember correctly, very early on, didn't he ask for all those manuals of procedures and such? So if he has issue with the procedures or didn't think they were followed he should be able to state which ones were violated. A thorough/competant attorney would have all his ducks in a row before going to the judge with all these accusations.

That's what I'm talking about. JBaez knows that the jail followed SOP...else he'd have filed an appropriate Motion To Suppress - which he's NEVER filed.

Oh, yes, you're right. I humbly stand corrected. So what in the world are they doing waiting for the great-great... grand-maggot-children to be born. Hmmm. Sorry to get off topic but

There is no way she could throw a tall laundry bag by the handles 20' when she is only 5'1 or 2.

She sure could drag it. When LE went out there, the area had become much more swampy and marshy and I am sure there were more snakes around at that time. KC was probably more afraid of getting caught with a dead body in the car then she was of some unseen critters. And she had the smell to deal with so I am sure that made her carry that laundry bag the extra feet she needed so it wouldn't be seen from the road.

http://www.cfnews13.com/News/Local/2009/4/7/caseys_reaction_to_body_discovery_accidentally_leaked.html

'The defense did not want the recordings to be released, and requested a judge to rule them private. No ruling had been made before Monday’s accidental release.

'The judge was expected to rule on the audio files May 7.'

and

http://www.clickorlando.com/news/19116201/detail.html

'Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, filed a motion weeks ago, asking the judge in the case to block the release of the interviews. The judge has yet to rule on the motion, and in an e-mail sent Monday afternoon, the state attorney's office acknowledged that it inadvertently included the interviews among a mountain of other evidence that was released earlier in the day.'

So, how did JB ask for a rulling without filing the appropriate motion? Not arguing....just asking??

Don't forget KC had boots in the back of her car that LE took. If I were going into a wooded area, I would want boots. Boots in June??? Why would someone being wearing boots in June??? Depending on the type maybe to keep critters from biting.:waitasec:

I think those were the cheap black boots she wore clubbing with her blue dress as seen in the pics from Fusian.

KC reacted the way the jailers said she did because she put the body there. She could have easily slung that bag to the spot it was found. It didn't take a 20 feet throw for it to land there. The bag was 18 feet from the curb of Suburban Drive. The treeline/shrubbery was 10-12 feet from the curb. This is where she would have slung the bag from. Slinging that bag 6-8 feet would have been easy for KC to do.

ETA: That's if she stood at the edge of the woods. It's likely she stepped in a foot or two making it all the more possible she slung that bag to where it landed.

I was thinking back on the day of discovery. For the longest time, the news had the location wrong. I had to google map and "street view" it to find exactly where they were. Perhaps she could not tell where they actually were until she saw the news coverage on television. Only then could she see the actual location, complete with fence, etc.
