So basically, the judge's ruling says to me that he favors KC's right over ZFG's right to clear her name ... how wonderful.

Honestly, I think this case is silly. Casey never said it wasn't THIS Zenaida, she wasn't the one.

Every person sharing that name Zenaida Gonzales could file suit. Especially those living in Florida, New York, Puerto Rico..etc..

I actually think the ruling makes sense and is fair. I do like that Morgan is waving the "Zani didn't do it flag" in front of the defense tho... tee hee...

This ruling was to protect the process of the criminal court and it's a good thing. Once Casey is convicted and hopefully sentenced to death, I don't want there to be any valid wiggle room with the appellate courts. These depos could very well compromise the prosecution's case on appeal.

Also, like I said before- I feel bad for ZFG- but the entire city of Orlando, as well as most of the country knows she was a victim- I'm sure she could get a job very easily because of the sympathy out there for her.

ITA with your post.

Casen and another attorney are representing her in the civil matter.

So how do they represent her in her best interests of the Civil matter, if they aren't working with the Criminal attorney. JB has to be there to say yes or no, you can do this or you can't do this with regards to representing my client who is charged with murder. As much as I don't like him, I think JB has every right to be in that room, representing his client.

Is Casen the entertainment/media attorney who was added to Casey's team?

If not, does anyone have his name by any chance?

Regarding ZFGs claims- even if most right thinking people know "the Nanny" was a product of KC's imagination, isn't is possible that some of the deranged weirdos that were acting up over at the A's house might hound her? Some of the hardcore KC supporters might be making themselves a nuisance which could have effected her employment. And I'm sure even some curious people that understand she is not in any way related to the case might have been bothering her with questions and other unwanted attention.

Is a bit of a stretch. ZFG cleans houses for a living. If she were cleaning my home, I would not "fire" her just because her name is associated with this case, if/since I know she's not guilty.

There are so many people out there that believe ZFG kidnapped Caylee, I highly doubt any of them would hire her. And an employer (cleaning agency) would not want to deal with that hassle.

It always seems like the criminals have more rights than the victims.

But, this IS the Zenaida that was at Sawgrass...the other part of Caseys story....the other ZFG were not at Sawgrass.

But as the judge stated, JB can't argue the civil motion and act as an attorney representing KC in the civil matter, when he doesn't represent her in the civil matter. For that reason, I JB acted with gaul to approach the bench.

The judge's job is to try to be fair to both sides and not punish the client for the vagaries of counsel. I expected him to just grant a continuance until after the criminal trial, and at worst dismiss the stupid counterclaim. I'm afraid all the plaintiff will get back in answer to interrogatories will be the same claims of privilege expected in a deposition and a lot of other objections. If they push too far, though, the judge won't be so nice to them next time.

Joy W comes to mind...

If she wants a job, she can come clean my house. I know better.

Maybe playing devil's advocate here but I have a problem with ZFG claiming she lost her job over Casey's claims......

First of all, if she had a job, her bosses would have known she was not a full time nanny.

Also, I know if my name were dragged into a case unfairly, my company would not just fire me for something that is no fault of my own.

I think she's taking advantage- I don't really blame her, but I just needed to say that.

I agree, I don't think she has a case, period. LE cleared her as soon as they questioned her. This did not make her a criminal, she was never arrested, only questioned. SO her boss firing her had nothing to do with this case. She was the one who chose to do all the media circuit and put herself out there. Her "fame" is her own fault. I doubt if we would ever have known about her, because LE certainly didn't announce her existence at the time.
