Caylee Anthony: Lawyer says family hopes to set burial this week

George and Cindy Anthony hope to set the burial of granddaughter Caylee Anthony this week, attorney Brad Conway told NBC's "Today" Monday morning.

"Burying Caylee -- that is one of the biggest things they need to do right now," Conway told Meredith Vieira. "They have been criticized for delaying the burial, and they have nothing to do with that."

Updated: George Anthony To Remain Hospitalized Another Week

George could have been released Monday morning, because the 72-hour required stay under Florida's Baker Act had expired. Conway said they are still waiting on doctors to confirm a treatment plan. That may include George being released to a treatment facility closer to his Orange County home.

Conway told Eyewitness News on Monday that George is doing better and, in turn, Cindy is doing better knowing that George is expected to be okay.

Reports Say Casey Anthony's Brother Not Cooperating

There have been reports that sheriff's investigators want to talk with Lee Anthony, Casey Anthony's brother, but that he has not been cooperative.

What News 13 has learned is that the Anthonys have not been talking with the sheriff's office recently. News 13 was told the Thursday before George Anthony disappeared that Allan said if the Anthonys would come forward with any "truthful" information, they would be more than happy to sit down and talk with them. It shows a clear rift between the Anthonys and the agency investigating their daughter's case.

The state filed the witness list Monday morning. It included the names of more than 140 potential witnesses, including Zenaida Gonzalez and several members of Anthony’s extended family.

Meanwhile, Anthony’s defense attorney, Jose Baez, filed new court documents Monday morning. The documents asked for unspecified sanctions against the state for failing to furnish the defense team with evidence from two experts in the case.

Florida Bar Throws Out Jose Baez Investigation

The Florida Bar agreed and no disciplinary action was taken, but in the past Baez said Black was an employee.

Baez is also under investigation for possibly violating advertising rules. The Bar has offered a diversion plan instead of disciplinary action. Baez can take an advertising course and will have to submit all his ads for a year to get approval. Baez has been given 16 days to respond to the Bar's deal.

Casey Anthony's lawyer files new motions

In one motion, lawyer Jose Baez is asking for screen-shots or print-outs taken from Ricardo Morales' computer. Morales is one of Anthony's ex-boyfriends.

The second motion filed by Baez on Friday also involves evidence.

In the most intriguing update over the weekend, WESH's Kealing reported that investigators have questions about what uncle Lee Anthony knew about Caylee's disappearance. Kealing reported that a source said: "We kind of treat him separately. He knows what he's done."

Over the weekend, WFTV reported that sources said George Anthony had admitted to taking pills in his suicide letter and that the pills were starting to take effect because his tone turned less coherent and his handwriting grew worse. Managers at the hotel where George was found Friday told WFTV that eight empty beer bottles were in his room.

George Anthony was admitted to the hospital under the Florida Baker Act, which allows authorities to hold a person deemed to have the ability to harm themself or others. It is not known if he is now being held on a voluntary basis. He's listed in stable condition.

Prosecutors have said in the past that they cannot give Baez reports they do not possess. Reports like the ones Baez is seeking may be in the possession of the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Local 6 News reported.

George Anthony's health, Lee Anthony's actions and the witness list in Casey Anthony's murder trial generated reports on Monday evening newscasts.
Why do they do that? The Anthony case has become so crucial in boosting ratings that the stations are boasting they have ownership of it.

For the past two months, the Florida Bar Association has been investigating Baez&#8217;s involvement with Press Corp. Media that included a series of faxes sent by Todd Black, Baez&#8217;s spokesperson.

The Florida Bar Association is still investigating an accusation that Baez was inappropriately advertising.
By law, the Bar cannot confirm if that complaint deals with the Anthony case.
