Joe was hanging pictures with Misty the next day. She never removed his pictures from her MS pages where she and cousin are "all f*** up." None of the Croslin's demanded he be hauled back here while people were pointing at them as suspects.
I'm here to tell you right now, there is no one in my family that I would stand in front of while the bus was being driven toward me to cover a crime they committed. With as conveniently as the Croslin's find someone else in their family to point a finger at, name for some other criminal activity, call a liar, or otherwise implicate in having knowledge of Haleigh's disappearance, it's a wonder they have a family at all.
As to why Joe and Tommy never come out and denounce Misty's statements that they "messed with" her, it appears to me to be their typical way of handling things in that family: If no one addresses it, it will just go away. Otherwise, it will cause conflict, and dysfunctional families don't like any chaos and conflict they themselves haven't created.
Misty has a habit of accusing men/boys of "messing with" her, and as we've seen in at least one case, with a very powerful outcome. But it's interesting that she never removes herself from these messers. And it's more interesting that (at least in Tommy's case) he continues to keep her around him, to once again be pointed at. Doesn't appear that distance has made it any harder to point at Joe, either.
What's that saying? If you point at one person, there are 4 fingers pointing back at yourself? If I were Chelsea, I'd not want to be Misty's confidante.
