Is everyone positive that is Misty in the background of the pic that shows Joe hanging up the poster?

It really doesn't look that much like to Misty to me, except for the hair.

If you look where the P is in that Picture you will see she has a bully. It's looks like CC Timmy wife. JMO

I think some are getting buried in articles. They are misleading often times and will confuse you. Trying to piece them together is not worth the time, imo. It is better to use the player's words or actions. Newspaper reporting in this day and age isn't worth much. They will take an article off the AP and repeat it. They have no way to verify facts anymore since LE won't give the time of day, with the exception of planned press releases.

lol....by some I assume you mean me, I have found three articles in the media links thread the very first article here: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3305501&postcount=2....which are all pretty clear about the events and when they occurred.

the above article was posted on February 10th, this is important to me because someone Chelsea, Misty....or whoever.....is telling stories. I think they have been telling stories all along, to suit their purpose, but that is just me...lol.

I must have misunderstood someone's earlier post, and thought maybe it was just being assumed by some that it was Misty.

Aren't you local? Why don't you just call the newspaper and ask them when the picture was taken? I do know they get posters/pictures out fast in a missing child case. If need be, they would just run some off the copy machine, but in this day and age, it would take just a few minutes to scan a photo, set some type and there you go.

No I am not local....and I have called Palatka Daily News, the picture was not in the print edition it was online is what i was told. I am still trying to get to the bottom of it.

Gosh, I for sure don't mind, if everybody thought alike and had the same ideas we wouldn't get very far sleuthing a case would we? Questions bring answers.

I think the girl in the photo with Joe is most likely Jenny, the girl Joe came and left Satsuma with. I wonder where Jenny stayed in Satsuma? Chelsea said she drove to Gainesville on Tuesday to pick up Lisa. JMO

May I ask what is a bully?

I am trying to find a pic of Chelsea to look at so I can see if she would be confused for Misty, btw PLD printed that it was Misty not me.

Why are we searching for this? It's obvious, to me at least, that Joe didn't skip town in the dead of night and hide out. Even if he did leave right after Haleigh's disappearance, I wouldn't think he would chance coming back if he had something to do with it. Either way, there he is, plain as day.

Do you recall if Misty said she hung posters up with Joe? Considering how difficult it is to get the names of the players straight, perhaps the reporter assumed it was Misty. Is it possible to zoom in and get a closer view of this person? Her hair appears lighter than Chelsea's and her body type is slightly larger than Misty's IMO. We don't know anything more about "J" except that she came and left with Joe in a blue car which was apprehended and tested by LE. What is a "bully"?

perhaps you would be so kind as to state the obvious? I think it is 99% unlikely that Misty was out on February 10 2009, Tuesday, with Cousin Joe Overstreet hanging up posters for Haleigh gone missing. Haleigh was reported missing at 3:27 am, and the area was cordoned off to prohibit people going into and out of Hermits Cove, statements and interviews were taken, IIRC RC and Misty were at the police station for hours shedding clothing and giving DNA samples. Yet these two manged to hook up that same day and run down to the neighborhood convenience store and hang up posters?

I must go and search for some articles regarding this very crucial day.

Misty stated in her LVA test Jo and her mother came down to the police station and picked her up that day...Misty also stated she was told not to go back down there, wherever down there is..Could be after JO and her mother picked her up, Misty and Jo did hang flyers since it has been reported Jo didn't leave until that evening....JMO

I don't know for sure, but perhaps bully is "belly"? CC was pregnant at the time, and her belly is near the "P" in the photo...

Looks like Misty with Jo O to me, but what do I know..Also, IF Misty was down at police headquarters that morning, perhaps this picture was taken in the afternoon after temps warmed up some in Satsuma that day.. It does look like a sweatshirt thrown over Jo O's shoulder in that picture...JMO

Chelsea is the person that said Joe left the day after Haleigh went missing and I find it equally as questionable that misty called Cousin Joe a criminal and said he shouldn't be trusted, yet they were hanging up posters together. It all seems like a big jumbled lie to me and in my opinion lies are given to cover up the truth.
