2009.02.12 ~ *Revisit video*. Father Begs for Daughters Return

suspicious, could you please explain what you mean. Misty knows when the last time she HaLeigh was despite Ronald calling her "dumb", and it certainly wasn't when she laid HaLeigh down at 8 o'clock, her bedtime.

This is a key question to this investigation. Did TJ Ward ask Misty this question on her LVA and if so, what was her response? (I'll go check this out).

I can't remember a specific time when Misty said the last time she saw HaLeigh was when she went to bed next to her around 10 pm like she should have. Misty's response to the question "When was the last time you saw HaLeigh?" in this video shows deception IMO.

In other statements, including the LVA, Misty states that she covered Haleigh with her blanket (which would have been after she washed and dried it) right before she herself went to bed, which means if Misty is telling the truth (I threw up a lil) then 10-10:30 would be the last time she saw her.

But then we have Tommy stating he was there around 10, no answer.

I can't remember now, what question Ron was asked but it seems he became very defensive. "Why would anybody take a child?" When no one seemed to be able to answer that, Ron rudely says "I didn't think so".

3 days later and I see no emotion from Ron other than the voice quiver thing.

Ron Cummings deflection matches his grandmother, Annette Sykes', in her "raw interview" with this same station, regarding Misty being gone. ( "What a crock!" she states). A reporter kindly asks her, "How do you feel?" and instead of a decent response she turns it around, quite aggressively and rude, stating, "Now let me ask you, how would YOU feel?" (Or something close to that).

Ron takes it even further in this interview, by arrogantly saying, "I didn't think so," when the presumably stunned reporters didn't respond to his dodge regarding WHY HaLeigh may have been taken. Just another question not answered by Ron; he becomes surly when asked questions he doesn't like, which are most questions. Crystal Cummings, his sister, gives him quite a look when he goes after the reporters like that.

Was this video recently released? If so, I wonder who gave permission for it to be released.

Thanks for the video. Several of you have mentioned the neck bruises and the bandaged neck that I recall was from a procedure to lance a boil. The bruises look like Ron might have cut himself shaving or that Misty was a bit amorous the night before ;) I don't think it's anything more than that.

Noone has mentioned Ron's bright red ears, but this is often a sign of embarrassment and/or lying.

Major standouts in the video:

*If Ron was at werk, how is it that he's certain that Misty had nothing to do with this?
*The custody issue was inappropriate and a slick way for RC to belittle Crystal Sheffield.
*Ron's a (something) who thinks that he's smarter than the average bear. It's obvious that he's a control freak who could charm a swimsuit off a snake. jmo

At 6:40 mm on hypnosis tape, the examiner, who is not TJ Ward, asks MC
Q: What time of the day was the last time you saw HaLeigh?
A: When I went to bed at 10 pm.
Q: When did you first discover that she was missing?
A: All I remember seeing on the clock was 3.

I'll go check out the LVA tests TJ Ward did.

This video may be a new one but there is another one thats been around since the beginning..The other provides a wider view of all the people who are standing around him though.. You are able to see TN, George Anthony, Ron's friend OT standing in the crowd. That one starts out with him being extremely arrogant and saying something about... Do Y'all want me to cry? I'm trying to hold it together here...Blah Blah Blah..JMO

He never says Misty's name either, I've noticed. Probably for a different reason though. However, he does say Junior's name. I recall him saying 'Junior', and not really referring to him as 'my son'. I've only ever heard him say Haleigh's name on a couple of occasions. I do find that odd.

We had a neighbour who used to always refer to his wife as 'herself'. I don't think I ever heard him speak her name.

My dog died a year ago. My husband and I still cannot utter his name. When someone asks about him and we have to speak of him, we use "M", the first initial of his first name. Why? Too painful.

A number of indiginous tribes and cultures do not speak the name of the dead. This must have developed from deeply natural feelings.

I believe RC knew from the git go that Haleigh was no longer among the living. He could not say her name without pain, or without giving himself away as KNOWING she was no longer living. I believe if he truly thought she was just missing, he would not have been able to quit speaking her name at every opportunity. Just MOO.

I watched these videos, and I know a lot of you will disagree, but this takes me back to thinking Ron is NOT involved.

Misty, on the other hand, IMO, tried her absolute best and failed at squeezing out a single tear.

IMO, Ron is in shock and traumatized. Yes, IMO, I do believe he is being an a$$, but I also believe a lot of time anger is a cover for hurt. IMO, none of these people had idyllic childhoods, and anger seems to be Ron's go-to coping mechanism.

There was a small clip of the 911 call on the you-tube video (I plead relevance :)) where Ron hangs up when the operator asks for Haleigh's date of birth. I can see Ron maybe being angry over this, because her DOB is not going to help in locating her, and he seems to have low tolerance for people not operating the way he feels they should. These videos are 3 days later, and I'm not sure of the timeline, but I do remember there being a lot of talk somewhere close to the start of all this of people thinking it was something to do with custody. It does not seem out of the realm of possibility for me to think his reactions are frustration and anger, trying to get across to everyone to stop looking at him and stop looking at Crystal S, because in his mind they have nothing to do with it.

I have a theory of why Ron is supporting Misty, but don't want to go off topic.

Lanie, I would love to hear your theory. Pretty please:dance:

Lol, it's not earth-shattering or anything, and I guess it could be considered on-topic since Ron was clearly supporting Misty in these videos.

In my 'Ron NOT involved' theory, based on previous drug arrests and statements made by some of the players involved regarding Ron and drugs, I think Ron ripped off/narced out some big time drug people. When Ron found out Haleigh was gone, I think he was sure her abduction was related to that. I think Misty either had foreknowledge of what had happened, or he jumped to that conclusion out loud, but I think Misty used that information to her advantage to lead Ron on to think that is exactly what happened. To me, anyway, this explains why Ron never seemed to look too hard at Misty and what role she may have played, as he was too busy with his own scenario and trying to do damage control. I think, at least at the beginning, Ron was hopeful Haleigh was still alive and he could work out a way to get her back, which ties in, IMO, to his going off on this video repeatedly of how he is not wanting revenge, he just wants his daughter back.

OK Lanie-that is the first "Ron not involved" theory that I can say would fit.

Although, in my heart, I believe Ron knows exactly/firsthand what happened to his daughter.

I like that theory though.

I wouldn't exacly call RC as begging for his daughter...........just asking her to be returned.

Thank you. :blowkiss:

In this video, Ron comes off to me as sincere. I base this on my own personal experiences of people who, IMO, have a lot in common with, and also IMO, a similar mindset to what Ron seems to have.

Thanks for answering my question, Emeralgem.

IMO that is a stupid question...it's almost like asking what comes first - the chicken or the egg-
There is no answer to the question of WHY someone would take someone elses child.

Answering questions with questions is a big red flag for deception.

Ron looks like he was putting on an act when he was saying "this could happen to anyone of us" (when they were questioning his feelings of Misty being the last to see Haleigh)...he looks very suspicious to me in many interviews. Imo he knows exactly what happened and everyone is scared of him not Joe....:furious:

IMO this could happen to any one is damage control because he thinks (true or not) it didn't happen to anyone, it happened to him because of something that has to do with him. (It could tie in to Lanie's theory maybe)

I've been reading a book on statement analysis, as well as reading the blogs by analyzers, and I noticed the custody statement, too. This guy was worried about losing custody of Rjr.

I think those two blonde women behind Crystal C and Misty are Teresa's sisters. The one who said she was driving "the mother" around was definitely T's sister. She may have said "the mother" instead of calling Crystal S by name because she was talking to strangers/reporters and that was her relationship to Haleigh, or maybe she just didn't want to call her by her niece's name, which is Crystal, too. Or, like you said, callous. They were talking about why the Sheffields weren't camping out with the Cummings group. Who knows what was going on in their minds at that time?

After I study statement analysis, maybe I'll ask my LE cousins if I could take a crack at some their perps' statements.

I agree with you that the woman we hear say she was driving the mother around was Teresa's sister Katrina. After hearing the Hope jailhouse phone call with her there is no doubt in my mind, I just can't see her in the video!
The woman standing behind CC w/blonde hair and the red shirt is Ron's cousin on the Cummings side Eliesha Izor. She is named in this pic.-couldn't bring the pic here-copyright but here is the link.

One thing I noticed in this video is the man (Ron's aunts fiance William Shipman) shaking his head no at the beginning of this video when Ron was naming/thanking all of the agencies who had helped in the search for Haleigh.
Maybe it's just me but I thought that it was an odd gesture.
