Let's face it, Ron is what he is. All the players in this scenario are of the cloth they are cut from. The children haven't much of a chance to grow up and become productive citizens after being raised in such dysfunction, not to mention illegal activity. My question from day one has been what Misty was wearing when Ron arrived at the MH after work. Were her clothes taken for forensic analysis?

It has been said that both Ron and Misty were asked to surrender the clothes they were in. We have been told that Ron was wearing a work jumpsuit, though we have no official report of whether they were asked to give their clothes, or what those clothes might be. If I recall correctly, it was TN who volunteered the information of the clothes being taken.

We are discussing Ronald, not anyone else. I apologize if this sounds rude, but it is very frustrating when having a discussion about a particular person and event to have the conversation side-tracked into other people and situations, and what THEY do.

When this distraction, or attempt at distraction from the serious topic at hand occurs, I know that, for me, I am immediately drawn closer to the original discussion: In this case, Ron Cummings, a reported fight he denies, lies about a hand injury, and how Ron's admitted penchant for violence may have been the cause of this precious little girl's death and the cover-up of the crime.

MY thoughts and opinions on this.

I see.. There has to be ALOT that LE is keeping to themselves. They likely already know who did what but continue to stall in hopes of gaining more evidence to ensure convictions of all guilty parties in this case. I wonder if Misty tried to pull a Casey Anthony. Ron has alot of secondary reasons (covering his drug involvement, etc) not to tell the whole truth about what he does know, and I've seen enough of his character to know he would save himself before telling the truth for Haleigh's sake. So heartbreaking!!

I don't have a problem with Ron being so angry that he hit a door. Many people use anger as a defense mechanism to keep from losing it. I have a problem with Ron being that angry until LE arrived then he was too distraught to help them. People are either completely functioning or completely not able to function....not both

I totally disagree with your statement that "people are either completely functioning or completely not able to function....not both" If you have been in those shoes maybe you were one or the other but not both but that isn't the way it was for me when my daughter was murdered. I had to force myself to function because I had a 4 yr old little girl to take care of...my daughter's daughter...and I had to make service arrangements, etc. I didn't have a choice. But when I had the chance to be alone I was very nonfunctional. I was so numb I could hardly move or think even when I had to do things. Grief isn't cut and dried.

Yes, both were stripped, including underwear, and all taken into custody by LE....

If there was a fight that occurred on the 9th the day before they staged the MH to look like an abduction so they could report her missing...
LE taking their clothes doesn't mean a thing... They had time to change clothes and discard any clothes they were wearing on the 9th that could have provided LE with clues as to what may have happened..Wonder IF that garbage bag they saw Misty with in the Shell Harbor contained the clothes they were wearing on the 9th of February?JMO

What weekend are you speaking of? Crystal did not have custody of Haleigh and Jr. the weekend before Haleigh was reported as being abducted which would have been February 6th through February 8th..... And to my knowledge we don't know where Jr. was IF there was an altercation on the afternoon of 9th between Ron and Misty or with Ron C and someone else, but I suspect Haleigh was there...UNFORTUNATELY....JMO

Based on everything I've read and watched on TV, Haleigh and Junior witnessed all manner of violence, starting with Ron's abuse of their biological mother Crystal Sheffield. Children at their ages assume this is normal, it is all they know, despite the fact that they are scared. There were many reports of Ron hitting his children, and children's services was familiar with this family. One article stated that Ronald was seen knocking Haleigh to the ground, which he denied. There were several witnesses. He is great at denial if he is anything at all.

I am so sorry about your daughter. Your post actually took me to a place that I did not want to go too. I know grief. I know the functioning for everyone else because you have to and losing it when you are alone. But I was not talking about grief. I was talking about the intial reaction.

Your initial reaction when you first hear something devestating. You are either one or the other. Functioning or you completely lose it and there is absolutely no way you can pull it back. Every single intial reaction except one, I was completely functioning. I was able to control my emotions to function while I needed to and lose it later. But one, the minute I heard the news late at night, I was completely and totally destroyed. I was in a ball crying and nothing could bring my back for over 12 hours.

Wiht Ron, I was talking about his initial reaction. Ron was going back and forth. The initial reaction period is one or the other, not both. You either hold it together and function. Or you lose it and there is no coming back. Ron was going between the two with both 911 and LE. As long as the questions were about him, he had no problem functioning. He could get his alibi and threats out. But when they were about Haleigh, he could no longer help because he was too distraught.

But Ron's behavior on the 911 call always seemed strange to me. Most of the time when a child is first missing, the parents are running around looking for them, not allowing themselves to be hysterical yet... they are hoping and praying the child will be found quickly and they are out looking, calling their name, asking people if they had seen the child. He was doing none of that. He was making threats, he was yelling obscenities at the babysitter, he was cursing the 911 operator and LE for not getting there five minutes ago. THAT is not normal behavior. His thoughts were not on his daughter... they were on whoever came in and stole her. Like she was a possession, not a person.

Jessigirl, when was this clarified? I'm not doubting you, I just don't remember ever reading or hearing an LE statement to that effect. Nor that they had checked it out and corroborated it.

Just cuz Ron said it doesn't make it so; meaning, if all we have is his word then, in my opinion, we have no truth at all.

Just was searching thru old media links, interviews, pressers by LE, etc, etc and I came upon what I knew had been corroborated(Ron's hand injury being verified by LE and how the injury occured) and why i originally(a month ago)stated in a reply to another posters comment about Ron's hand injury. I stated that the hand issue had been verified by LE. But when seekingtruth had asked where I had seen that it was infact verified and corroborated, unfortunately I did not have the time I needed at that very moment to search, find, and post a link to provide proof to "back up" my statement saying that Ron's injured hand had indeed verified. So, may be a little late, but better now than never...

I was "quoting"(as u can see BBM below)in my reply using the terminology used in her post. "tore up" was her description of Ron's hand.

In the quote by Lt. Greenwood it is BBM. He states "a door" so it could be ANY door on that property, NOT a door to the front or back of residence, it could have been a bathroom door for all that we know, but Lt Greenwood does state it is from "Ron punching A door" as the cause of the mystery injury to Ron's hand.
