RD was the guy working with LP. I remember all of this...but when did CASEY officially change her story with LE? (and LP doesn't count)To my knowledge she has NOT (have we ever had a presser where they stated, "Ms Anthony now recants her original story?")...so what was LA talking about? If he's using it to "disconnect" ZG from SG Apartments I find the timing odd. I'd like to know EXACTLY when the story changed. We were crying for ZG to get a lawyer since August. So was the story conveniently changed to protect the family by "disconnecting" her from SG apts? To me that connection is key in ZFG's lawsuit. It's really easy to make up a story, but maybe that's exactly the reason why he didn't go to LE with it...until they heard about it from LP. Ok...now I'm confusing mysef.

:waitasec:LOL...I to am confused.

In August when Padilla bonded Casey out, Casey told Rob in the car the new story about Blanchard Park. For those 10days the Anthony's worshiped the ground Padilla, Rob and Tracey walked on. Sometime in those 10 day Casey had to of told someone in the home, that is what Morgan was getting at I think.:waitasec: Lee would not confirm when exactly. However, Padilla will also be deposed by Morgan in March, I am confident he will be able to give the date that Lee may of given him of Casey's new story about the drop off being at the park, instead of Sawgrass. Casey never said new nanny, just different drop off location.

I think it's poor education. And I respectfully disagree with you that he's bright. I think appearance is of critical importance to the family---and they all try, far too hard, to appear intelligent and close/loving, and happy.

But their misuse of language causes part of the facade to crumble. (The murder of their grandchild, another part.)

Good ones can fake the emotional responses scarily well. But if you're skilled at identifying them, you can usually find a crack in the facade.

I have not really observed inappropriate word use a la Anthony in the sociopaths I know, except in labeling the emotions they do not experience. (Not that other sociopaths don't do it--it's just not a prominent feature among those I know.)

ITA, you are right about people not being skilled at identifying them. If they knew what to look for they'd suddenly recall that creepy uncle type person everyone has in their family. You know the one who always cracks that inappropriate joke that lacks empathy? Makes those comments that make you ask WTF? The ex-sister in who lies through her teeth, does what she pleases, and takes no prisoners. The Boss who has no heart and is cruel. We are surrounded by them! It doesn't help when they are skilled at fooling us.

I don't believe he's signed it as of yet. Aren't they going to continue with the deposition?

It doesn't really matter ... if I took a statement from you RR, under the oath of The court ... whatever you said ... under oath -- would be just that ... testimony under oath! Hope LA's lawyer told him as such ... but doesn't matter ... ignorance of the law is not justification for breaking it!

Hey there, Mac-- Did you also hear him describe Casey's stunned shock/lack of action at JBP as Casey being in "stasis"?

amysmom, I am quoting your post but wanted to comment on the word 'stasis' that appears to be in Friday's post. I could not find the original post.

Anyway, I will be the first to admit that my use of the English language is not perfect and I sometimes use words out of context, but this word stasis just takes the cake!

LOL, I did stop and look that word up because it is not a part of my vocabulary! According to Mirriam-Webster dictionary the meaning is:

1.) The slowing of the current of circulating blood.

and

b.) Reduced motility of the intestines with retention of feces.

Now being the simple person I am, I will go with b. It seems to be a condition this family are all afflicted with.

"Many here think he's not very smart--that he uses big words he doesn't really understand, however, I disagree on both points. BUT here's a sharp contrast that makes him seem crafty or sly to me, and it's this: He does have a good vocabulary, yet he also makes a few glaring grammatical errors, i.e.: "Where else would she have went?" And "Her and Caylee" And "I don't know where she's at..."

I know the obvious explanation would normally be that he uses "big" words he doesn't understand to make himself seem smarter than he is, but I think he is smart. I also think there's nothing completely "normal" about this guy, and his speech patterns don't jive with me. They're evidence of something--just like his inappropriate laughter--but I don't know what that "something" is. LOL."

I disagree. "Smart" people become aware at some point in their lives - usually along about the 9th or 10th grade, I'd say - that they are speaking English incorrectly. Now perhaps this is because everyone in their family speaks that way. I am talking about usage like "I seen her yesterday" and "Where else would she have went?" "Her and Amy went to the store" etc.

But "smart" people stop using these incorrect phrases once they are taught the correct phraseology. This is why we have classes in school called "English".

I have been with people at family gatherings such as weddings, christenings, birthday parties, who come from families who use incorrect English and that particular person uses correct English. And they use it ecasue it is the correct way to speak English.

So what I am saying is that I have a tendency to think that someone who reaches their mid to late twenties (or beyond) and hopes to make it anywhere at all in the world of business and employment should have learned to speak proper English by then.

And if they haven't learned to speak proper English I don't think they are very "smart". And neither do many others.

Who am I to argue with such impeccable logic as this. :blowkiss: However, I still think there's something unrelated to intellect that accounts for Lee's deliberate, conflicting, speech habits--just as I think Lee deliberately dressed inappropriately for Caylee's memorial not out of ignorance, but for some other reason. Defiance? Arrogant refusal to conform? I don't know.

I am beginning to believe that maybe Lee also has a "Narcissistic" disorder. Lee looks to be very troubled, not only due to the death of Caylee. In the past he had written some blogs about his life and he seemed to be very depressed, angry, and unhappy. It was almost as if Casey was writing the blogs, but they were from Lee and he was talking about how troubled his life and family were. I do not have the link, sorry. But I did read them. Maybe someone else recalls the blogs I am talking about. I feel that Cindy has OCD, Narcissism and other. With her physiological genes I think she created two very disturbed children, and Casey being the monster out of the two. JMO...

Are we talking the blog where he names the 33 friends who stuck by him? I don't have a link, but that was strange!

We know that Lee is into science fiction, or in this case, fiction, I looked stasis up in the Sci-Fi realm.
A few stories, such as The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury and Farscape,[2] envision a type of stasis that allows mental processes to continue, so that a person in stasis is aware of being helplessly immobile - essentially a living statue.

and
This is his meaning, I believe-
In the Star Wars RPG series Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi who follow the path of the light are able to use "Stasis" powers, using the force to alter time and freeze an enemy in place. Unlike true stasis, this stasis allows external events to affect the victim, meaning that someone held by stasis can be killed while unable to retaliate. The original game also uses a similar effect when Dark Jedi trap party members to engage the player in a duel.

Or, he simply meant, she froze and carped her pants.

Right, but I was wondering if there is any independent evidence that she actually is a Fernandez as opposed to say.... lying to Morgan that she is. How did she prove it to Morgan?
I never did like how the "Fernandez" gets slipped in and out. IIRC Fernandez did not appear on the guest card she filled out. The only thing tieing ZG to Casey is the date she visited SG Apts, and Casey's original story. So, if the story changes...as Lee admitted...then there is no connection.

So, Zenaida is now a Jedi Warrior. You know what Lee? Duct tape is like Star Wars, too.

I cannot wait to read LP's deposition by JM! That will be a good one and I suspect the two will get along famously! It will be straightforward and informative!

wish I could!

So, it was never made known to LE by Casey. Lee specifically said that Casey did lie to them...I don't know of any conversation she had with LE after lawyering up, especially not after she was released on bond. So if it's NOT a matter of "record" then everything Lee states could very well be just a story he concocted with Casey and the family.

I wonder if this is not an embellishment on the part of JM to make her seem more relevant and if KC's civil defense attorneys are worth their salt they will expose it as such ... whether they are, has yet to be seen ... as well as whether a middle name will matter in the minds jurors when all other affirming evidence is presented.

The point of these depositions is to TRUTHFULLY give edvidence including the lies that KC told. However it should NOT be the wittness (Lee) job to arrange those lies and make them seem sensible. Lee is rearranging, keeping quiet about some things, and even making bits up himself.
He knows KC tortured and murdered Caylee. I hope he suffers for what he is doing.

It's poetic justice that they've all backed themselves into a corner with the Zanny story that reads like an episode of the Twilight Zone. It's so absured but they have no choice but to repeat the same rediculous story over and over and over as if it's the truth. If they don't Casey will get the DP and they will end up in handcuffs. They have no choice but to make themselves look like fools. They might as well be saying Aliens did this. What's really ironic about all of this is, for all their efforts and making fools of themselves, Casey will be convicted with at least LWOP and they end up in handcuffs anyways.
