Why are we expecting consistency from a four year old when the adults in the case aren't able to do it either?

If JR changed his stories even when the professionals were questioning him then I'd be surprised if he stayed in one story while Crystal is questioning him. She might be honestly trying to get hints out of JR but she's bound to ask leading questions, she's not an expert in interrogating child witnesses.

I'm rather surprised that her attorney let her do the interview.

The same way Crystal saw bricks of marijuana in Ron's house but she'd never been there. It's all bunk.

Maybe people will start realizing that she doesn't have angels flying out her rear.

She has always said two movies, people just assumed she meant one movie after the other. Also she has always said she layed down with JR in the big bed around 10 -10:30. So not sure story is changing there, I also assumed that Jr was already in the big bed when she layed down with him but maybe he wasnt and they both went to the big bed at 10-10:30.

Your assumption that he was already in the big bed was based upon the police report.

Misty told me that she had put the children to bed at approximately 8:00 PM. Misty said that they were sleeping in her bed, and when she laid down at around 10:30PM, both children were still in bed.

She changed her story and now is saying that JR wasn't in the big bed, but in the living room.

The bold is my first thought, as well.

Crystal and her attorney must know that LE is going to see this. Either it isn't news to LE, and it's cool, or it is news or otherwise problematic, and that wouldn't be good.

My hope is that a good attorney, who wants to keep a positive reputation in such a high profile case, wouldn't let her client go on national news and say these things if they were untrue or not told to LE.

ETA: either way, I think it's expected that everyone would be given this information to be taken in a "FWIW" manner, with consideration of the known age and circumstances of its source.

I think the "couch was bouncing" being mentioned now after all this time is rather convenient. It is huge and yet Crystal or Rj didn't say a word about it before. It is very disturbing if it is true, but disturbing if it isn't true and she is implying this instead, imo!!!!

Hi SS, I almost sounds like Crystal is getting back at Ron for his comments to the nation, as stated by NG's promo guy, that she made up the story about the man in black. How embarassing that would be :doh:

If Ron and Misty knew what happened to Haleigh and were covering something, they would be like ya thats right RJ saw someone in black come and take his sissy, that would help their story. By saying no they do not believe RJ said that - it points right back to no one seeing a stranger in the home. It just further convinces me that Ron and Misty had nothing to do with Haleighs disappearance.

The RJ story is evolving as weeks go by. First it was man in black squeaky shoes, then the next week it was black man in black with squeaky shoes, few weeks later it is black man in black with squeaky shoes and a bouncing couch. Why not the entire story the first time round?

Misty's changed her story. She's now saying that the children wanted to watch different movies. She set Haleigh up with one movie in the bedroom and JR up with other movie in the living room. At some point, JR left the living room and came into the bed with her.

Hmmm I wonder if Misty told LE about the bouncing couch? After all she was there, right?

I thought this as well, a simple and sweet solution. But why in the name of seven hairy lepers would it take her over a month to get this explained to the LE?

Do you really think it happened since it is coming from Crystal? I don't. Geraldo would have jumped on that if Rj actually came up with it before. The promos would have read like a neon sign and Geraldo would have taken out full page ads. LOL

Hi Busylady, That is if you believe what Ron said is true. And Misty, she changes her stories as often as liver spots do in the sun!

Also, if there was no stranger that means it was familial, right? Either them or someone they knew who was very familiar with their lifestyle and home. xox

That is exactly the first thing that came to mind for me too. I am guessing if that is the case, she definitely has something to hide.

I know I could be COMPLETELY wrong, and I hope I am ... but the FIRST impression I had of Crystal was, that she wasn't very in tune with Haleigh or JR at all ... that she wasn't that close to them, or attached.

Also, everything she's been doing and saying, seemed to me, to just be an act, to look like she was the concerned mother. And most times she's 'cried', it's never seemed sincere. Sorry ... that's just my opinion.

Again, I hope I'm wrong.

Looked thro Geraldo 2x today looking for this (and Busy still owes me my wine.) What Geraldo said was that Chad and Marcus told him the story about the marijuana.

Do you really think it happened since it is coming from Crystal? I don't. Geraldo would have jumped on that if Rj actually came up with it before. The promos would have read like a neon sign and Geraldo would have taken out full page ads. LOL

I don't either SS and think it is a red flag and further get back at Ron for embarassing her on national TV.

What I really think is Crystal shouldn't be pumping that llittle guy for any info. And if he volunteers any info, like kids will do after time, she should call LE and have a child psychologist come and talk to Jr. xox

Well, in the first (Police Report) she tucked him into the big bed at 8. In today's version, she set up in the living room with a movie at 8. He couldn't have been in two places at 8. That sure sounds like a changed story to me.
