2009.04.13 Unreleased Evidence: What Are You Waiting to See?

I'd like to know if there was any DNA recovered from the decomp in the trunk. Anyone have any idea if DNA could have been extracted from the decomp? Or would it have been too degraded at that point?

Regarding the Gatorade bottle...trash day was yesterday and the one I found outside this weekend was picked up in the recycle bin. Sometime over the winter my wife switched to something called "Vita-Rain" that she buys at Costco...so I am without an honest-to-goodness Gatorade bottle on hand.

Looking at another image of the bottle with the length scales in it, it looks to me like the size of the bottle opening is right at 1 3/4". The cardboard toilet paper rolls in my home also measure at 1 3/4". A pretty tight fit.

While the latest image I posted up seems to show it is a pretty tight fit, it would be good to know how easily it would go in. IOW, I cannot see anyone being so desperate to put a toilet-paper roll into a Gatorade bottle if it has to be crammed in. :bang:Any sleuthers out there able to perform the test?

I would agree think something as thin and flimsy as a toilet paper roll would swell up some and possibly dissolve over time. The roll in the bottle appears more substantive than a toilet paper roll, but otherwise the size seems right. Since I have a spare toilet paper roll on hand I tossed it in a sink filled with water just to see what happens after a few hours. BTW...the milky-white color of the fluid could be explained by dissolved shreds of toilet paper left on the cardboard roll.

P.S. ... need to check my sanity spending time on a Gatorade bottle with a toilet paper roll inside ... :bang:

LOL ...I've tried the experiment too. Maybe we can go halves in a straightjacket?
It must depend on the type of roll, because my lil experiment has shocked me. I expected it to disolve within a few days.
Its aprox 2 months (will have to check on the date) since I left the roll in water, outside in the sun, and it still hasnt disintegrated. It unravelled, but is still in one piece. Its been there so long, I've had to keep topping the water up.
Now I'll try it inside a gatorade bottle.:bang:

Have had a metalic sticker sitting in water too, which also hasnt disolved.

But back ON topic now....

I'm waiting to see copies of CA's address book, to see if she did in fact have a number for a nanny listed (and if there is a record of her ever trying to call the number). As well as her complete texts with KC, especially from July 3rd.

If these have been released and I've missed them, please let me know.TIA

Waiting to see the results of caseys clothing. The 10 out of 11 articles of clothing with "suspicious" stains. The pants. (There's gotta be something on there. I had a bloody nose on my jeans a while back, and even after 5 or 6 washes, I could see miniscule drops of blood within the threading.)

Text messages from June between KC, CA, GA and LA.
Text messages from June 14th through 19th from KC to everyone.

Interview with Mallory, if one exists.

IP addresses/Login info from the zenaida "dora the explorer" myspace.

More info regarding the duct tape. (I tried to do my own experiment, by leaving visible fingerprints on it and leaving it in mucky water. However, the water dissipated too fast. Perhaps JWG can help me figure something out)

Deleted content from KC's myspace.

Wiretapping audio while KC was out on bond, if there's any.

ETA: I had much more but I'm drawing a blank. I'll be back again soon with more.

I understand if tests results are still pending with the clothing and any lab testing, but I cannot understand why the other things you and others have listed ,havent been released yet.

If they are supposed to release them to JB and co under discovery rules, they should have done so already. It's been a year now. They must be ready for release.
Which means they either dont have them at all, the results are of no significance to the case, or they are delaying discovery, and will hand them over as the trial draws closer.
IMO, judges need to come down harder on any prosecutorial team that delay discovery in an attempt to have an element of suprise at trial. They need to minimise the risk of appeal, and play by the rules like everyone else.

I was in the middle of responding to the document release thread (Friday) when it was closed. Someone was asking whether it was legal for the prosecution to release discovery in a piecemeal fashion ... it made me think of my favorite CrimPro professor ... he said ...

"Discovery is neither a procedure, nor a process ... Discovery is a sport!"

Rules of Criminal Procedure do not dictate when, nor in what manor, information is shared ... the exception being exculpatory or negating evidence, which should be rendered as soon as practicable.

Take heart my dear friends ... this is just the beginning!!

So the prosecution could release all of their discovery the week before the trial, and that would still be within the guidelines?

Remember JB filing a motion every week for discovery to be turned over? He's been quiet on that front lately.Maybe he doesn't want any more bad news :chicken:
No worries. He'll get it all in plenty of time.
It's been a year since Caylee went missing, but not nearly a year since most of the evidence was recovered.Caylee was only found in December.

I want to see the entomologist and botonist report about when they suspect Caylee's body was left there.
And of course Dr. G's report.

I just want to see all of the evidence that they do have so far admitted into the case. To me, I think the grandparents own words are some of the most damaging. On the NG show people were saying that they don't think the majority of the stuff we have seen will even be viewed by the jurors. I am so afraid that some of this stuff won't be entered into record and that she will get off.

I'd love it if they'd release the credit card info from JCP, specifically what was purchased. It would be even nicer to have KC on video buying the item(s). What ever happened to the "videos" showing KC circling the Amscot area? Anyone remember that being announced on NG? I never saw anything along those lines.

Wonder what ever came out of the vacuum cleaners and, more specifically, the wet-dry vac they seized. Probably nothing, but I'm still curious. Forensically matching the trash bags that held little Caylee to the one CA gave to LE so very early on (July 2008, I think).

The analysis of: the duct tape Q-100, the Q-90 Gatorade bottle, and the Q-133 pregnancy test.....these are curiosities to me.

I wanna hear the tape of KC's call to Tony.

Any DNA that might have been found.

Traci and Rob's interview. Tomorrow purty please.

i want to know if there was really a video tape at Amscott or if that was just a rumor

For those who wanted to see the reference for the newspaper clippings taken from the A's attic:

No other items listed are from the attic. The search warrant is dated 12-11-08, and documents released 2-18-09.

I don't know if it's "evidence", but it was taken in the search, one green folding toothbrush, "inside red cooler, inside blue cooler", in the garage, top shelf. MAy just be something irrelevant, but a toothbrush inside one cooler, inside another cooler? As meticulous as CA & GA are about cleaning, it seems odd.

Not much left to chew on....

If this is the wrong place for this post please move or delete it,.

The last time I remember the SA saying they were going to release some video and tapes .. nothing , nada was ever released. I think everyone was waiting for Tammy's interview, was it ever released??

Tammy? Are you thinking of Tracey, the female bounty hunter that worked with Leonard & Rob? Or did I actually miss one of the players in this case?

Thought of one more thing I'd like to see, any evidence found at Lee's house. I know, we haven't heard of it being searched...but.

I'd like to see the comparison between the sheet of stickers found at the Anthony home and the one found with Caylee's remains; the comparison between Q-100 duct tape at dump and Q-62-62 duct tape on face, and Q-66 duct tape from gas can from Anthony home, and the PORT-A-BED (p. 3566 of discovery, with no Quantico number that I know of yet), being analyzed for chloroform, decomp, and trace hairs and fibers.
