Kathy Belich.........JB says the "leaks" and media are the basis for his motion for change of venue - want to move it to Miami.

Kathi Belich: JB has done a lot of research, too much media coverage in Orlando area, people in area have already made up their mind, he cited a web poll done by her station; he says Miami is less saturated with this story and it's a city that can handle a high-profile case like this. :boohoo:

I haven't had a chance to catch up on LKB's interview where she said that so I'm only going by what Nancy said. I'm not surprised though ~ this seems to fit with "ugly coping".

Why would KC be "grieving" during this period if she didn't already know Caylee was dead? I can't believe LKB said that!

Nancy's bringing up that JB's motion also cited the national media and that's what the judge will make a ruling on; not what LKB said on tv today.

Peter Odom: all the defense has to show is extensive media coverage and tainted jury pool.

It was also irrelevant to this case! Was she talking about Susan not getting a fair trial or having a COV? There's no comparison between Union SC and Orlando FL. moo Oh, btw, LKB ~ Susan confessed.

True but, isn't that counter JB's objective? If he just argues local tainting then there is reason to move. However, if he makes this more of a national problem then -- moving it to Miami won't fix that.

The Judge is reluctant to move since the logistics and cost is so high, JB needs to focus his motion on Orlando.

Nancy's bringing up that the Judge doesn't have to move it where JB wants ~ he is the one who chooses and can pick Tallahassee or Jacksonville if he wants. :crazy:

I almost wonder if Baez thinks he will do better with the racial mixup in Miami, "Could he even try to get nullification because of him being a hispanic lawyer unfairly treated?" I hope if they move the trial they head to Tampa or Panhandle (serve him right). Isn't Miami the home of Enquirer? How is he going to feel when the media there doesn't buy their twist of the truth? If there wasn't any evidence against Casey she would be free. She had her arraingment where they found enough evidence to try her. Nancy will get to the bottom of it.

Another possibility is ~ the Judge may also try to get a jury seated in Orange County before ruling on the motion.
