At the end as she is walking out, they look absolutely leveled to the floor that she would not glance in their direction. Did you notice that? I didn't get to see the whole thing, did she look at them or wave like she normally does at any time ? When the judge was naming off the folks who did not object to the defense request for phone records, I heard him say Lazarro and Morales but did he also say the Anthonys? For the first time in a really long time I felt sad for George and Cindy. While the lawyers were at side bar with the judge, Cindy and George were probably hoping she would turn around for a second, Cindy actually gave heavy sign, got up and left the courtroom after whispering something to Brad. She seemed to be really crying this time. Is it up anywhere where I can watch the parts I missed?

Cindy hugged a reporter (I think it was Holly but I could be wrong).

Jesse was one of the very, very first people to contact LE early on, before Yuri even had a chance to contact him, he volunteered very early on as well to take the polygraph and he voluntarily gave access to all of his phone records etc. The test is not to be admitted in court and is not part of the discovery. He is not the only one of her past lovers that was polygraphed, Lazaro and Morales were and possibly others as well, so that LE could rule them out. Jesse has helped in every way possible LE and I think he has shown a honorable amount of restraint considering the framing of him Casey and her folks are doing. They are going to say Jesse is the one who did this to the baby.

I was thinking about JB's using, or suggesting in the past, that AH, JG, TL, etc, were/are possible "suspects".....IMO, this could be part of the defenses answer to "why are you not looking for the "real" killer if KC didn't do it". This way it appears that they, in fact, ARE looking for the real killers by looking into all info about these parties.....namely, their cell phone activity, taking depositions, etc.

Since we can't comment on their appearance, my sister in law was once (before the two babies) a jury consultant, and she told me based on what she has seen of KC in court, not her physical appearance but her mannerisms, that the jury is not likely to find sympathy with her.
She mentioned the following: darting eyes, inappropriate smiling, basic unawareness (or not caring) of what is going on (ie a DP case against her) and absolutely no appearance of being upset, sad or despondent. In other words, she continues to behave like this...as my sis-in law says, this will severly hamper the penalty phase of the trial.

So true! In fact, I am surprised that the judge didn't just go ahead and grant the defendant's motion today to refuse public release. The SA said they had no problem with sealing it except that they were required by the Sunshine law to release it. Basically saying that all they needed was someone to either say release it or don't.

Since nobody was there to argue for releasing it, why did the judge continue the motion? I think the judge told Baez he could have the phone records he wanted for the people who didn't have an attorney arguing against it today.

Don't get me wrong- I'd really like to see the tape. I just don't understand why there wasn't a ruling today since the SA said they had no problem with it being sealed.

Because (mind you I don't have the court file in front of me) there had been a motion from the media arguing to release the tape that was heard weeks ago and put off (correct?). Then the lastest supplemental motion (responding to the media's request) from the defense did not notice the media. As I understood it, the Orlando Sentinel and Opel (?) Tv simply were not given notice to show up.

When Jesse's dad left the court room?

Many of the parties to the subpoena duces tecum request left with their attorneys after Strickland's ruling.

C & G need to take a lesson from Lee and stay home. Why go to Court and grovel for a smile or an acknowledgement and be humiliated by that demon ingrate time after time? They have got to be gluttons for punishment. There is no way that KC will allow their visits to jail, no matter how many times they say it is because of the videotaping being released to the media. I think KC has arrived at the conclusion in her evil little mind that G & C are to blame for Caylee's demise.

I apologize if you have already answered this, but did Casey even look at her parent's coming in or going out ? Thank you for all of the great info !

My companion said Casey very quickly glanced their way (without smiling) when she came in; however, I did not see that. She absolutely did not look at them when leaving and it was really sad to see the A's reaction.

I am sure that failure to supply notice was a genuine clerical error on the part of Mr Baez and the defense team. :)

Methinks they love Casey; it is as simple as that.

In the matter of Cindy appearing to have been crying for some time: this could mean she has broken through the wall of denial, and is starting to see the reality of the situation. JMHO

Cindy Anthony looked like she had been crying before she came in....hmmmm wonder if she had talked to kc beforehand?

Wow, I slow motioned the ending and must agree w/ you, it was sad. They, Cindy and George, were practically holding their breath waiting for some acknowledgement from Casey...how cruel she is.

Help me out here lawyers:

KC's atty from CA said the primary reason they want the tape sealed is to protect her privacy with regards to medical records citing HIPPA among others.

He then goes on to explain that KC was taken to the medical office to receive medical care, but that the plan was to put her in front of the TV for 30 -45 minutes and that...

" SHE WAS RENDERED NO MEDICAL CARE, WHATSOEVER."

So my question is... if she did not receive any medical care, treatment, diagnosis etc. how can her privacy with regards to medical information possibly be violated????

CA and GA were nodding along and making facial movements in agreement with Baez and against both the Grund's and Huizenga's attorneys during parts of those attorneys' arguments. Basically, during that "duces tecum" portion of the argument, if one glanced randomly at the A's one could tell with what they generally agreed (with Baez). When Kirk Kirkconnell and Martin White were making their arguments (regarding the defense wanting the phone records and the "fishing expedition") one could easily tell that GA and CA think those records should be released.

Another thing that just occurred to me. Because of HIPPA doctors, nurses, medical personnel cannot discuss you or your treatment with anyone. So how is it, if Lt. Uncer and the other person saw/interacted with KC while she was "in" the medical facility - why are they being deposed about what happened???? It's private.....or is it? Can't have it both ways......

LE agencies and agents for LE agencies are not bound by HIPPA. Only medical personnel and those who handle medical records are bound by HIPPA.

Someone in the hallway outside before the hearing started asked Mr. Grund why he was there and he said he was there to protect his son. Just fyi...

Praise the Lord and Thank You Jesus for a real parent, Mr. Grund. Now this is one person stepping up being a good man protecting his child that I can respect. Jesse lives and works out of state now, so his dad came in his stead. Good for him. I cannot even imagine that family having to defend their son from the Anthonys accusing him of this murder, not financially or emotionally....I cannot imagine the injustice of it. They were probably the best for Casey and Caylee, they had accepted her as their granddaughter and would have loved her her entire life. Casey's life could have went the other way with them and her starting to go to church. Damn straight he is there protecting his son, I know I would be there front and center if I were him. Thanks for your eyewitness courtroom accounts.

I interpreted that to mean that there is a lower/different threshold as to what is prejudicial in a DP case.

Close?

Any thoughts on that statement from Baden?

That thought crossed my mind as well; but, if that were the case, why whould he even be there?

I don't understand why Brad would be there period. This hearing had nothing to do with his clients right?

ROFLMAO....and filing it at 6pm the day before the hearing wasn't planned? (sarcasm intended)
