2009.07.30 Deposition Lee Anthony

That's a good question, Kat. :waitasec:

Who is this woman from Knoxville that Baez is trying to drag into the case?

And why?

I don't have time today or tomorrow to go back to LA's depo but I plan to go back and reread the portion where this exhibit was discussed.

Also, I don't think that LA's testimony was particularily bombshell dropping revelations, however, he does give us an insight into family dynamics from his perception.

To me his testimony was very revealing in that way. JMHO of course.

Doesn't it make you want to sit the three of them down and ask......Then whose remains are they??!! Are there any other little girls of that age who they could possibly be???!!

Such idiocy.

LOL

And if they were sat down in front of me, I'd continue with:
And who the hell's ashes do you have around your neck and wrist?

Newbie, here... Has anyone discussed Lee's timeline on July 15th? On page 143, they discuss the written statement from Lee that he says he was asked to write before leaving for Tony,s to pick up the laptop and cell phone. Everyone agrees the time is 10:15 pm. Then, on pg 157, he says it was around midnight before he finally "went over there or got there"... What was he doing for that hour and a half?? I'm still reading so not sure if it's in there...

Thanks for being patient with me on my first WS post!!

Who is this woman from Knoxville that Baez is trying to drag into the case?

IIRC it is the woman at the airport or on a flight travelling with a child resembling Caylee. Womans name is Jean, she is from Knoxville. I do have a link to some videos she has uploaded but I won't post them here. Her myspace profile is set to private however you can watch her videos. She has a grand daughter that looks remarkably like Caylee. I think Wanda W saw this women at the airport and stated something about dogs as well (Caylee patting the dogs?) and introducing herself as Caylee Marie Antony. (spelling deliberate)

Tip phoned in by Wanda W to police and to Cindy. She has a 14 yr old and dectectives met them both at Mcdonalds to interview them. This being the same Wanda that Cindy talked about in her police/FBI interviews, can't remember which. She felt the tip was never taken seriously and discounted the fact that the flight manifest had been checked and it was determined that it was NOT Caylee on that flight. Cindy couldn't quite get her head around the fact that this woman would not inject her 14 yr old child into the case unless it was a true sighting.

I'm of the opinion that Cindy believes to this day that it was Caylee on that flight.

No worries, actually her myspace is not set to private but I bet it soon will be. Not sure if she realises that a photo of her myspace front page was in the depositions.

On page 310 and page 348 LA talks about a binder that KC kept track of discovery and wrote things in and that she would bring it back and forth to JB's office while out on bail. LA had the binder and put it in a box which after a few months he returned to his parents house and left it in the garage thinking it would be turned in to JB. Is it possible that it was not and when LE came in with the search warrant on December 11th that LE found that binder. Could that be where the list of things that KC turned over to JB came from and maybe whatever was sealed in the envelope was also in the binder? The list that was identified as being KC's writing, would that not be considered work product and therefore JB would not have had to turn it over to the SA.

Of the three depositions this is the first I can't make it through.....Lee can find the longest, most tedious way of answering a simple question, as well as liberally peppering it with a million "you knows" , "likes" and "whatevers". I think he's a creep and disingenuous to boot. But Ms. Drane Burdick is my new hero! Loved her example of "idiocracy" (sp?) Hah!

LA is an odd bird, I agree. And when I read the part where they were talking about the thing that happend to him when he was 15 ... and then they just went on and never explained...I thought "OMG he was molested and that was why he tried to do the nasty with his sister..." HAHAHAHAHAHAHA too much tv.....then I read CA's depo and it was explained about his reaction to Accutane....HAHAHAHAHA...I need to go to bed since I have been reading depos since 10 this morning.

I'm on a big truck in the middle of KS on a cell phone, so the thanks and quote buttons don't work for me. I want to say thanks for the welcome, essies!! And can anyone direct me to discussion on the white shoe polish writing that Lee says was on the pontiac??

Wasn't sure where to post this comment - it applies to both LA and CA, but there's no general thread to cover the recent depositions.

Anyway, I just can't seem to grasp the idea that even though this family thought their home might be bugged, etc., that CA/GA/LA did not once approach KC while she was home and just flat out ask her the tough questions nor were they tempted to scream, shout and demand answers. Nothing was said.

They try to make us believe that they were "searching" for Caylee, but there's not one shred of evidence that that happened - other than chasing after innocent young people who had the misfortune of knowing KC. Other than LE, Tim M. and the general public, there were no advocates for Caylee. I really can't think of anything more sad.

Except.....the time that Tracy heard GA go after KC in the morning, he was screaming at her so loudly, the media heard it across the street.
Of course, KC demanded he leave his own house after that happened, which he did, so score antoher one for Team KC there.....

Could KC have picked a more unprofessional atty then Baez? Nope! I am pretty sure they dont exist!

And can anyone direct me to discussion on the white shoe polish writing that Lee says was on the pontiac??

snipped

IIRC, Cindy wrote something on it like do not drive after they took out car battery.

At that point the point of the sign was?? :waitasec:

eta..there was only that statement from Lee & he claimed not to know what it said..The above is from CA early on.

One thing I noted immediately about ALL the A's depos was their absolute inability to just answer the question without going off on a verbal tangent, which tends to open all sorts of doors for the prosecution to wander in. Deponents are counseled to simply answer the question, only clarifying when absolutely necessary. Lee was all over the board with his answers, painting his sister into a corner with some answers and revealing even more unflattering aspects of her personality. They took many breaks, and for the life of me I don't understand why his counsel didn't rein him in at some point.

A while back I found a picture and posted it here, of a guy holding a gun in a room, looked like a living room....He was a black guy and the caption under the picture said Mike Walker.
When I posted it here, at the time, we thought it was just a silly picture that someone planted in Photobucket (I found the picture when I googled 'casey anthony photobucket'). There are a few pictures there that have nothing to do with the case in ernest, so I blew it off.
Now we have LA talking about this picture and connecting it to TL. And Pat Burgeious, that saw KC in jail, mentions Mike Walker to KC.....WTH?

The pic is no longer where I googled it before, so I will have to look for it....If someone already posted this here, please let me know, I did not find anything when I searched this thread.

I went back and did a search in photobucket for Lake Vaj, double clicked on a half naked SD, than hit "View Album".....and came accross this pic titled "Mike Walker." I am sure this was discussed here before, but is this just some misplaced, dopey pic?

http://s490.photobucket.com/albums/rr267/photologie/?action=view&current=mikewalker.jpg

Here it is, there is also a picture in this album that looks like Mr. Burgeous sitting on a 4-wheeler.

ETA-But that is not an AK-47 he is holding, so maybe LA is talking about a different picture in his depo? Or am I making the assumption that LA is talking about the same DBC friend that CA was talking about? LA doesn't mention the race of the guy with the gun, so maybe he is not referring to the same 'manslaughter' convict that CA mentioned, I guess I just assumed he was because he has worked with CA on all of this.

So, I am reading LA thinks JG lied about the circumstances of meeting TL? Lee, just because you are ignorant does not make JG a liar.
JG absolutely told police he met TL at the pool party, he figured KC brought him down to meet TL to try to make him jealous (and he was probably right).
These people are so far out of bounds as far as JG goes, it's amazing. That is something that I hope they put right back in the A's face at trial, that JG is pure as the driven snow when it comes to Caylee's murder.
For all of the motives LA claims JG had, maybe he should have asked himself about his sister's motives: being rid of her child so she could go be a harlot is much more probable, given what ACTUAL evidence we have seen.
