2009.07.30 Deposition Lee Anthony

Plus wasn't it November when Tim Miller came back and asked Cindy for something of Caylee's so they could search and Cindy refused stating Caylee was still alive and she did not want him to search for a dead Caylee? If this is true, that should send up a lot of red flags. JMO
I thought that happened during the first search, the search in November was the second one. Anyone remember for sure ?

BBM Re: the bolded part...Cindy didn't want him finding a dead Caylee is what she should have said, but that would be too honest for her.

Prolly on the hood of the pontiac. Remember in LA's first statement to LE how he told them how bad the smell was and he had to keep going back into the house just to get some air. I have often thought about that statement and the actions of the people there. LE, CA, GA, KC and LA. In order to get some fresh air all they had to do was open the garage door, but they didn't. WHY?

Something I've never understood is, if the horrible smell from the car was so overwhelming, why would KC and LA go out to sit in the garage and talk the night that CA called LE? Why would they want to be near that smell?

And, if LE showed up and had walked thru the garage that night (I'm not sure they did), wouldn't they have smelled it as well and instantly been suspicious? Sorry if this is old news, but I've never reconciled this in my mind.

I'm sure they knew what they were smelling and that is why the dogs were brought out the next day and the dogs hit on the car prior to it being towed away. I'm sure until KC asked for an attorney they would try to get as much information out of her as they could.

I really don't think LE went into the garage that night. Otherwise the car would have been taken that first night, and the home cordoned off. JMO though. The SA asked cindy if the smell went into the home, and she said no.

Btw, recently released e-mails between I believe 2 FBI agents stated that the car still smelled horrible. This was at the beginning of Oct 08.

Trash and/or pizza (non-existent) just doesn't do that. You can't smell the inside of your car when you're on the outside, especially feet away. Unless there was a rotting body in there for days in the hot FL sun. I'm betting a jury would agree.

How they could tolerate standing inside the garage, I don't know. KC is disturbed/psychotic, and somethings off about lee too. He did at least admit that he couldn't handle it for that long, and he would have to leave.
In his depo, LDB asked if he has ever connected that smell with his dead niece (paraphrasing), and he said no.

I'm pretty sure LE had to wait for a warrant to be signed too, before they could remove the car.

PG 15 - Lines 21-24:

Q. Who's the head of the household?

A. My mom.

Q. Financially?

A. My mom.

This tiny exchange sums up so very much in this case.

Hoping Lee is up soon in the trial.

Bump for review and...

Just wanted to write here and now, before it is mentioned at trial, that I reiterate my remorse for ever buying into the accusations made about Lee. I got caught up in the mob mentality at the time, and because of the volume level that the rumor mill got to, the FBI did what they did.
Now, JB will use that against Lee, and now, I no longer believe it was ever possible.
But how can that toothpaste get back into the tube? Can the state explain that the FBI only did that because LE was getting hounded with info and insinuations from the public? 'Cause I think that's why it went down, and I hope the state can articulate that, and that they never actually would have gone down that road if, in part, we didn't.
I am being intentionally vague and those of you that know what I mean know why.
