Do you think that they are going to try to use the murder case in the check fraud case and that is why they want it done after? Hoping that they can get at least a reduced sentence on the murder case and they get her off on the check fraud because she was stealing the money to find her missing child.

I think it would be a bad idea for them to try to tie the 2 together because I don't think the "I stole the money so I could find Caylee" is going to work. But if they truly think that they can prove that she was not at fault in the murder trial, then they might gain sympathy on the check fraud by using the excuse that she needed to steal the money because Caylee was missing. Here too, I think they could try to blame this on someone else. Maybe AL again (looks like he is going to be in the hot seat as an alternative person who could have done this to Caylee)? AL made me take the money. He said I had to pay him back for staying at his apartment or whatever.

To me, it apeared Casey did strecth her neck to see CA. It looled as though CA said something ... I dunno, I think CA (based on her facial exspressions) did glean something from her daughter, albeit possibly just a *look*.

How sad/pathetic was that...her parents trying to catch her eye...she refusing to even bother looking their way?!

By the way she acted when GA was on the stand, is most likely why she refuses to look at them.

She tried to avoid it, but she did see them when she was shaking folks hands. As she walked out of the room, she was really starting to crack. You can see it in her face. I believe that was from seeing her parents.

No ruling today, only mention of allowing some sort of order for JB on the TES searhers - but hasn't decided what that will entail. Also Strickland made comment about how he could just hear Nejame screaming about this even though he had long since left the courtroom

I missed a lot of it, too. Maybe we could get someone to give a brief rundown. ;)

ETA: Thanks, Wenwe4~ And Welcome to WS! I appreciate the hearing in a nutshell. :)

Yes, I can imagine Strickland is right and that MN is not happy about now.

What does the defense hope to gain by postponing the check fraud charges? There has to be a reason that they want it postponed other than that the murder case is more important.

IIRC, if Casey is found guilty of a felony charge (the check fraud), it helps the state with the DP requirements.

Found it in an article...for the check fruad case JS will rule on it later. Thanks anyways.
I really need to get my net card re-seated...it's loose & of course goes out at the wrong time. Have to wiggle the connection to get it back...Thanks everyone! :blowkiss:

P.S. I have already posted pics(KC crying) & part 1 of the hearing in the Current News Thread...will add the others as they are released!

Can I ask what George was testifying about? I missed that part, too. :(

I think she's starting to crack cause reality is setting in and she knows she's not going anywhere but back to her little cell! It's still all about ME!!! :furious: IMO

CA looked as if she has been crying and like she wanted to hug the perp. Perp didnt even give her parents a second glance. Shook hands with everyone else and left.

As usual.
After seeing KC behave this way towards parents seems to be a clue as to how defense is going to portray CA & GA. My biggest hint of this was when GA took the stand. The entire questioning of GA AL perked up her eyes and listenning ears. AL zoned in on GA with the most intent expression, hanging on to his every word like no one else mattered. It seems defense might very well throw the A's under the bus and hs made it very clear to KC to not acknowledge parents. That can only lead to KC cutting off all ties IMO. It also appears kC has brushed up on her court manners! Pathetic parents is what I saw today. Wonder if GA was effected making him want to defend his daughters name today? It seems to me that GA's behavior on the stand today is most likely how he behaved at the Grand Jury testimony. Thinking GA may be the spokes person for Caylee is no longer a dream I think will come true.

I'm confused, what was accomplished today? I thought there were a lot of different motions to be gone over. Help Thanks in advance.

Looks like she has lost some weight.

I thought so too Floridamom. It's probably because she's not getting as much money in her commissary account for snacks. Seriously.

You got me wrong on that. I think what he ment was he did a search, and found out PD was on everywhere. And that JB didn't make an issue of it THEN.. so why now. I believe the Judge was pointing out, on record, how silly JB's request is at this point.

That is what I got from his comments. Not that he watched NG. What did others hear? It happened so quick.

And I agree with you, I sure wouldn't attempt to use it as such. OUCH!

I believe Stickland said while channel surfing he saw LP on Nancy Grace, etc. and that JB didn't do anything about it then. He did say he saw some of it on tv though.

HTH's!

Going back to GA testifying just now: He actually told the SA he didn't think the name of his LE friend was relevent! Shades of the trial to come.JS was patient this time, but I doubt that would last through a murder trial.

I saw that, I think something is going on with her mental state. Seems like she has been recently crying a lot from the looks of her. I am not convinced it is fake but probably isn't necessarily over the loss of her daughter. More than likely she has either met inmate big Bertha or it has hit her that she might not ever get out of jail/prison.

Ah . . . La Bella Vita

Cindy smiled, leaned forward and tried to speak to Casey, Casey ignored her it seems.

Oh, no insomnia, KC didn't seem to ignore her parents. She DID SNUB her parents. That was more than obvious to me. KC had time to shake hands with whoever those other folks were but her parents got NOTHING!

She makes me physically ill. How can her parents even stand by her anymore after how she's treated them along with what they now KNOW she did to Caylee? I will never understand.

I thought he said he was searching the internet about PD and come up with that sort of stuff.

He said he was channel surfing [not searching] and he caught LP on NG or GVS.He didn't mention searching on a computer.
