2009.10.16 Motions Hearing

I agree JSR. Those photos will be leaked and they will find their way to the internet too.

I'm sad to say I also believe they'll be leaked and all over the internet.
I also believe the defense will take that as an "opportunity" to blame the SA for leaking info again.

Some observations from today's hearing:

Was REALLY glad I was there after hearing about the camera issues. Bummer!

In the security line to get in to the courthouse, G&C were just a little bit ahead of us. I couldn't BELIEVE that George was wearing shorts!!! Again!!!! Show some respect, dude.

For the FIRST TIME, Casey looked at her parents as she came into the courtroom and smiled at them. My first thought was "Thanks for the $50 Dad! Howzabout some more?" heh :loser:

Casey washed her hair this time, it was nice and shiny. Last time it looked greasy. Sorry, couldn't help but comment... the difference was really noticeable.

Sat behind the prosecution side, away from G&C, don't think I made it on camera. Maybe as Casey was leaving... The most crowded hearing I have been to yet. No empty seats left, 40+ spectators plus the courtroom crew.

Some dude in front of us had his 2 young teenage boys there. WTH?

All of the reporter heavy hitters were there of course. Kathi B, Tony P, Bob K, Holly B, Drew / WDBO. Plus the bald producer dude.

Was surprised that Macaluso and LKB were not there. :waitasec:

Brad showed up late, rolled in at 9:37. (Judge S. came in at 9:32)

Laughed when LDB pointed out that Baez notarized his own client's statement, I had wondered about that when I read it.

My favorite lines:

1. When LDB said they were looking out for CAYLEE, not the family. I wanted to clap!!! :clap::clap::clap:

2. When Judge Strickland said to Baez "This is where posturing will get you in trouble" about Macaluso's statement. :dance:


Was cool hanging with Beachy and meeting Omachka. Some great observations were made by them!

Also met Marinade Dave, yes that was him.

Also, Muzikman...if YM's there next time you go, can you try to sit next to him and say "psst dude, do you think she realizes the snowball's at the bottom of the hill yet and hey, if she gets off, will you ask her if she could hook me up with a job at Universal?"

I think the PHOTOGRAPHS were the major focus of the hearing.
WHEN THE PROSECUTOR SAID NOT TO SHOW THE PHOTOS TO THE EXPERTS THROUGH DISCS NOT FOR PROTECTION OF FAMILY BUT FOR CAYLEE...."deceased child" CASEY TOOK A BIG GULP AND ATTORNEY LYONS LOOKED AT CASEY AND YOU CAN SEE IT GAVE CASEY ANXIETY!
After the hearing, you see Attorney Lyons talking to Cindy saying they will have a phone conference later on to discuss. Interesting.
Attorney Lyons talking about the "simple" motion and not a necessary to reply to the Judge's question/comment was I think rude, unprofessional, and mocking the Judge.
So, Now that the Judge is going to grant the release of the defense putting the photos on disc and personal give them to the experts with all the restricts...who wants to start putting bets that the photos will be leaked??? ANYONE?

If you look at this video- start at 16.47 minutes and watch Andrea Lyons as Linda Drane Burdick says " I am not here for the family, I am here for the CHILD"- ALyons leans towards KC and says Oh my God- as if to ridicule that comment.

Who were the two young men behind the defense table?.....The one that looked really young appeared to have "guy liner" residue from the previous night........It was shown while getting a close-up of george........if it is someone from WS boards, I apologize............I just am curious as to whether it may be some casey groupies showing thier support........I hope that my description does not offend anyone....it is not my intent.

Im totally sicken by Jamie Floyd, trutv. Her 13th Juror question today is...Do you think the crime scene evidence was compromised?

She says Gee only 38% of you are saying yes which leads me to believe you are not following the facts of this case so please stick with us we are going to shift these numbers...Can you believe her...

Then after her break she says to her guests Is this capital case been over charged? It shouldn't even be a first degree murder case.

I watched this show by mistake, ask me if I will do that again!
I was incredulous at some of the statements she made- she obviously hates Nancy Grace too..

I watched her leave and she did her usual circling motion, without looking towards where she knows her parents are waiting, and then she left quickly.

Well I had to turn off her show after her guest said Casey looked drawn, she is thin, she is sad, she is grieving. Hugh circle under her eyes. Her guest said my prediction is that the jury is going to see a grieving mother, a tragic young woman, probably will not convict her of capital murder, they MAY convict her of a lesser charge. This woman will not be executed.

Oy! How unobservant of the TeeVee Talking Heads!! Did they completely miss the defense table laughing and yukkin' it up earlier??

I think we should supply our WS court room super sleuth's with packages of Twizzler's to toss on the defense table when ever little Miss Mopey starts getting all weepy eyed.

Now that would give that dim wit Jamie something to talk about!
