I can't stop chuckling! I must be over-tired. Just wanted to let you know that you didn't kill the thread . . . I'm sure people are still trying to read & process all the new info.

LOL! There were so many posters currently on this thead when I posted, and within a couple of minutes they were ALL gone! I couldn't help but feel responsible! :weaklink:

Okay even still what was he going to do if GA said "yes there was". Is he a licensed pyschologist? I just don't see what he was going to accomplish?

From what I get the converstation happened in the law office of his lawyer and Mort was there? I'm not positive, still reading. Taping anyone without their knowledge is against the law in Florida.

Probably sell his "story". imo

The State filed a Motion for Protective Order regarding an audio tape Joseph Jordan made of a phone conversation with one of the defense team members. In Florida, it is against the law to record without the knowledge of all parties involved. It is a FELONY!!!

Here is the Motion for Protective Order:

Its a two page PDF

We knew about this. for a least a couple months now, no?

I use to follow this case very closely but couldn't keep up! So, I hadn't heard it before today.

Just wanted to give my 2 cents on Mr. Jordan.
I can remember when the searches first started how he was very kind and very willing to get out there and do the one thing none of Caylee's family would do, search for her.
My understanding from these transcripts is that he was wrong about the exact spot early on and is why he made those statements about the body being placed there afterwards...
My own interpretation is that he did tell the truth about the water after he realized the exact spot..
I may be in the minority on this one, but fully remember reading about the work he did with the other site and I remember him being just as passionate about finding Caylee as we all were..
He did not insert himself into the case in the middle, from the start he believed she was dead and hit the ground searching...He is A OK in my book..
I would have recorded my conversation with the defense too...I know I would be breaking the law, but to expose their dirty doing would be worth a month or two in jail for me...least a voice would be heard for Caylee..

I agree with you, I don't think his intentions were malicious or evil at all. I didn't personally like how he in a round about way made himself known as a searcher and spoke loudly across the internet. In my opinion, he posted things he had no right doing according to the rules set forth by TES. Obviously, he regrets how he handled everything and I can't say I blame him. He's in the middle of bigger things in his life and this probably wasn't what he needed. On the other hand, I personally wouldn't email people based off something I saw on TV and wasn't 100% sure about. I'm pretty sure he understands his own mistakes.

ITA! He doesn't appear to have any other motive than to help. IMO, he wasn't trying to gain notoriety from the case. In his interview, he appeared to be really concerned about being publically associated with the case. Just my opinion.

Thank you so much for your 2 cents. I really appreciate this input because I really did not want to think this was just another nutjob joining this case for fame. Lord, like there's not enough squirrelly people to go around, you know?

This matches up w/ my recollection/assessment too, MDO. In the beginning of the case we were all scouring over the pings, etc. trying to come up w/ search locations to feed to the locals. We all just wanted to help find Caylee...and we were glad to have locals like JJ that were willing to take our input and do what they could to check things out. IMHO, JJ was just one of many trying to find Caylee.

The threads are still on the forum where we would suggest a specific area be searched, post a map and the reasons we thought it was a good candidate...Lake Underhill, Central Windy Park to name just a couple. The Oviedo house got our collective attention - mine as much as anyone's - when records suggested it was unoccupied @ the time Caylee went missing and that it was familiar to Casey & Caylee as a rental of a former babysitter.

That seems like an eternity ago now. JJ's heart is in the right place, IMHO.

Most everyone on the forum was very happy that JJ was here. He was trying very hard to do the right thing and he just wanted to find Caylee.

After rereading the docs, I have had a change of heart. Initially I posted that he was trying to insinuate WS ect were odd balls. But after taking my time and reading the reports I too feel that his heart was in the right place. I have a clear memory of him taking our suggestions and doing the searching. Somewhere in his Justice for Caylee and maybe a bit of $$ signs is when his conundrum began. I still feel he is telling the truth. The e-mail of the body moved theory is circumspect however with the emotions that were running high and the fact that he was there I can give him a pass. I doubt the defense will though. That has been the problem with this case it seems that everyone with good intentions for Caylee has had their lives turned upside down. Greed, defense team, the A's causing diversions, I just can't put my finger on it. But I just had to admit that my initial post too was off the cuff and maybe I was wrong. JMO

I am very interested to know what Baez wanted fabricated...

Looks like they were trying to fabricate falsehoods regarding searching the Suburban area...I do hope Baez will be next to come under fire. He surely broken some laws!

Yeah, but you were right to be suspicious, after Tracey McLaughlin outright called us at WS losers.

Back on topic about JJ...(Page 191/12570) "Based on this review three identifiable subjects were recorded without their knowledge"

"All parties informed that they would not be pressing charges for the recording".

Ok at this link and beginning about page 141 and 142 I am seeing a common theme in the questioning with the Lori T person who worked the Kidfinders tents. LE seems very interested in the fact that NOBODY ever discussed Zanny the nanny who had kidnapped Caylee and nobody ever pointed Joe J. in the direction of the nanny or gave him any indication how or where to begin his search. He spoke with George AND Dominik and neither of them ever said look for Zanny.

Casey Anthony defense won’t get illegally recorded interview with searcher
3:01 p.m. EDT, April 7, 2010
<snipped>
Defense attorneys had asked Orange Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland for access to an illegally made recording by Joe Jordan, a member of Texas EquuSearch who assisted in a search for missing 2-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony in 2008.

Jordan recorded a conversation he had with his lawyer and an investigator for the defense team. He later turned the recording over to law enforcement.

In a three-page ruling today, Strickland wrote order that the defense can use Jordon's statement to investigators but cannot have access to his illegal recording.

The illegal recording statement is of no more value that what Jordan told detectives, Strickland ruled.
